Health food? Roy, I've gotta disagree and side with Pink's review; I found First Watch unremarkable and unsophisticated to the point that this may as well have been a cafeteria in an elderly assisted living facility. The food wasn't horrible, it was certainly edible, but it lacked imagination and seasoning, and the decor/ambiance was zilch. This place definitely falls under "meh, I've experienced better," and it's definitely not "health food." (Almost all of the breakfast options come with sour cream!) I went here with my out of town guests and some friends of my mother's from Columbus. I think a fair assessment of First Watch is that suburban people and people who don't do a lot of urban dining might think this place is good. I think it is utterly unremarkable; its location in an equally unremarkable strip mall with equally unremarkable suburbanites standing around waiting to buy *insert latest trendy middle class shiny object here* or whatever the hell makes it even less interesting. Also, when I went to the bathroom and walked through the main dining room at First Watch, I noticed all the cheerily recognisable dry goods prominantly displayed in mass quantity by the open-style kitchen - you know, Kellogg's, Quaker, etc. My stomach turned and as my tattooed, slightly amiss (hey it was before noon on the weekend) self quickly made my way to the restroom, I witnessed ladies and gentlemen in polo shirts and madras shorts giving me scornful looks. Oh and the food? I ordered florentine eggs benedict; the spinach was not sauteed, which made no sense to me at all - what am I going to do with a bunch of raw baby spinach on a tasteless English muffin with tomato, a tiny sliver of avocado, and two poached eggs with barely any hollandaise sauce? I'd give this conconction a 1.5 out of 5. I left all the spinach on my plate and got teased by my cousin! Fail, First Watch, FAIL. This was one of those dining experiences where no one commented on their food at all - which means it wasn't a culinary experience (it WAS a very nice social experience regarding the company, so that's important) at all. Like I said, otherwise, I saw lots of sour scream, cream products, and no real coffee (okay, they have "real" coffee, but it was weak. I drank 1.5 pots by myself before I could even become conversational, compared to my usual three sips of Americano and/or well made coffee)... This definitely isn't healthy food (though it's also not the worst), and it's not really even that great. It just seemed like the opposite of a restaurant, and esp. one that specializes in brunch - there are so many easy, creative and delicious ways to do eggs/breakfast... come on! I'd rather make my own at home - more delicious food and way sassier atmosphere. read more

I had the eggs benedict and substituted bacon for the ham. Loved it. The hollandaise was way too thick but tasted good. My friend had the turkey club and loved his too. Good place for breakfast/brunch! I would not recommend the pancakes however...just mediocre. read more

It wasn't exactly bad, but the food was so flavorless and unsophisticated that it wasn't really good either. Nothing seemed to be seasoned. The English muffin I had tasted like water. The menu was very large: egg dishes, crepeggs (don't ask me what those are), sandwiches, but I had trouble finding anything that seemed especially appealing. Most of the vegetable omelets seemed to have every known vegetable added, with no attempt to harmonize the flavors. They all seemed to include celery. I've never had celery in an omelet, but that sounds awful. read more

Cheerful breakfast spot just outside of downtown Worthington. We went early, so there was no wait to be seated. They have a big menu along with rotating specials. I was tempted by the Avocado toast with basted eggs but instead opted for "The Traditional." It was tasty but not spectacular. The whole place has a chain-hotel vibe. read more

I always want to like First Watch, but I never do. To be completely clear, 2 out of the 5 times I've eaten there there has been major hair on my plate and/or food. Enough time passes and I let it go, try again. This time I was talked into going by my wife, my breakfast sandwich was delivered, one bite in, well, you know the disgusting rest of story. It may just be my luck. I also tend to think the food is tasteless and their marketing reads much better than the actual taste profiles of food. The staff are always friendly. Place gets busy on the weekends! Call ahead/wait list is ideal if you don't want to wait long. I hadn't been here in years but the food was the same as I remembered. Its good and fresh but prices are a bit high compared to other breakfast spots and based on what you get. Came here on a beautiful staruday morning around 10:15 am. It was packed. I think this is the first time i've had to wait for a table in Columbus, so I had a feeling it would be good! After about a 25 min wait, my wife and I were seated at a 5 person round table. Kinda weird if you ask me. looking around, they also sat couples at 6 person tables, 4-6 person booths (depending on how big you are) so I don't think they really worry about efficiency of capacity, but more about seating people in order. The food was quite good, I had the Chikenchanga, and while I thought the chicken and avocado was great, the salsa is not really a salsa, more like a cheese sauce with some tomatoes. I wasn't expecting that so it was a bit heavier of a meal than I wanted, but it tasted good! Wife had a fritatta, but it was really more like an omlet whipped up in a small skillet, but that also tasted good. We had a great meal, service was attentive and all in all, I'd say worth coming back to, but I am still on a brunch search for the best in C-bus, so stay tuned. One negative was how loud it was, they need sound dampeners to reduce the feel of a cafeteria and get back to a cafe feel. read more

This location is by far my favorite..I am totally in love with the Bacado omelet but everything they have ever recommended for me to try i have enjoyed just as much.. Their iced coffee is tremendously good.. My only concern is not being able to use my coupons for sun eclub when I'm getting a carry out which is mostly what I do considering how busy I am at work during the weekdays..if you have ever heard of Cafe Gitane in NYC and their avocado toast which has been copied by many restaurants, then you will be very happy to hear First Watch now has avocado toast that is delish and you don't have to drive to NYC to get it:) read more

Walked right in on a Thursday morning. Restaurant was mostly full but had a few open tables. It took a while for the initial greeting - long enough that we had already decided what we want to order. This was our first visit to First Watch and we took a little while deciding so I'd say we weren't greeted for 5-10 minutes. After our server showed up, though, things went smoothly. She was attentive and brought us our order promptly and checked back to make sure everything was OK. Only gripe is that I ordered a fruit bowl with the meal to share with my wife and both of ours came with a small fruit cup on the side. It would have been nice for the server to mention this as it wasn't stated on the menu. I wouldn't have spent an extra $5 had I known. The food was just OK. I had the Eggs Benedict with ham and tomato. The eggs were perfectly poached. The Hollandaise was a bit thick and heavy on the lemon but not disgustingly so. I expected a fresher tomato given the season and the tag line, "Yeah it's fresh". Pretty bland supermarket tomato. My wife had the Parma Hash and wasn't particularly impressed. She didn't care for the italian sausage with eggs but the ingredients are clearly stated on the menu so this was simply a matter of personal taste. The eggs were cooked correctly, however. The $5 bowl of fruit was fresh. Overall, not a bad experience but I would have been just as happy at IHOP - not exactly high praise. read more

I went here on a whim with my boyfriend for breakfast on a Sunday. Be forewarned, this place gets crowded on the weekends and you may have to wait around 20 mins to be seated. The food was amazing so just be sure to get there about 20 mins before you are so hungry you will eat anything in sight. My boyfriend loved the variety of pancake flavors they offer. He tried the banana, carrot cake, and bacon and cheddar pancakes. His favorite was the banana, mine was the bacon and cheese. I had the chikichanga which was like a breakfast burrito. Our bill was pretty affordable, but watch out for the extras. I think it was about $3.50 for a side of sausage or bacon. So things can add up if everyone adds a side or has a coffee with their meal. I will back here again for their diverse pancake flavors and delicious food. I think they also do carry out if you don't want to wait to be seated. read more

If you give this place any more stars than two, i question your sanity. Oh wait, this is middle Ohio, mayo on EVERYTHING, plenty of Ranch dressing (central Ohio flavor enhancer) and NO, i mean NO SEASONING. At FW, their idea of flavor, EVERYTHING should have MELTED CHEESE ON IT! Look at the menu. I don't know if the kitchen is allowed to HAVE salt and pepper. Instead, "slop on some cheese for that wonderful gooey mouth feel", effing repulsive. And of course, the other flavor idea - adding sour cream to everything. It is on every menu item. A client insists we go there for breakfast on a regular basis and i smile, accept and die a little inside... Everything is just average. Even the patrons. No specialty anything. Nothing even 'interesting'. You know why no chefs or food network people come to central Ohio, because there is no food of merit here and FW is typical of the 'wave of bland' we serve and cheerfully eat. Nope, Guy Fieri will never 'roll in' with his 67 Camaro and partake in our wasteland of Ranch, sour cream and melted cheese state of average. Why did i give it a second star - it is clean. The coffee is even tough to get through. One thing i DO NOT get, at all, is them 'displaying the products' they use, as decor. I don't want to see the cans and boxes my food comes from! EVER!!!! Can't you just serve it and i can HOPE someone actually prepped and cooked my blandness and maybe tasted it for seasoning and took pride in their creation they sent out for service?!? read more

Ugh. So disappointed with First Watch. For a place that has so much marketing geared towards natural and healthy how is there not a single vegetarian salad? I get it, I can ask for no meat but I want more! Give me some beans or olives or even a veggie patty on the side! We normally love the food at First Watch. But specifically today we came here after the bad storm Debbie caused county-wide power outages. The staff were so sweet, patient and accommodating- knowing we needed a comforting experience. Nobody was rushed even though there was a 45 minute wait. They had wireless and plenty of plugs. Disappointing! Drive to Dublin location for a better experience. We love First Watch and decided to meet up with friends for a nice "day after Christmas" breakfast. (Total of 6 people) Our visit started out fine. The restaurant was packed which was to be expected and wait time was reasonable. The waitress took our order and we sat for what seemed 20 mins longer than normal. My food arrived (traditional breakfast) with a hair on the toast. I immediately handed it back to the waitress. She said nothing, took the dish and returned 3 mins later with same plate and replacement toast. Unfortunately the toast was cold which lead me to believe she simply removed the hair and gave me the same plate. None of the other food items on the plate had been replaced/refreshed. Five other people at our table- all with very different orders- complained about cold food. Eggs, potatoes, toast and bacon all barely luke warm. When I told the waitress she comped two of our meals but there was no effort to remake food or to apologize for the poor quality. Again, we are fans of First Watch and go to the Dublin location often which is why this experience was so disappointing. If you're heading out for a nice breakfast, skip Worthington and drive to the Dublin location. It will be worth the trip! read more

This was my first time here in years and I left very satisfied. I got an order of their pancakes (I can't remember exactly what they were but I think they were banana and granola??) and they were delicious. I got ahead of myself tho and ordered the full stack, which no single human should be able to finish. I'd say I made through about half before I tossed in the towel haha, so if you're not that hungry or don't want bust your jeans open at breakfast I'd recommend sizing down lol. I also tried one of their egg dishes and that was very flavorful as well. And I love that they just put a whole pot of coffee on the table! Cause I go through my coffee like water. First Watch is so now our new favorite breakfast spot! We called and placed our order to go. My husband ordered the Tri Athlete and i ordered the traditional with no meat in replace add extra egg and a side of fruit. My husband said loved his meal. I didn't taste it but it sure looked good. So my meal was DELICIOUS! My eggs we're perfect! Sunnyside up is the best way to have them! The home fries we're very good. The busicuit was fresh and delicious with the strawberry jam. My fruit was super fresh. I didn't know they put watermelon in the fruit cup. I will most definitely ask for more watermelon and pineapples in my next fruit cup!
