IKEA has everything you could need for a home, from kitchen goods to cabinets. They also sell food in their market have a café. Their prices are very reasonable. If you sign up for their free family membership you can sign up for their special events as well as get a free drink in the café. All employees I have encountered them very pleasant and energetic. I have attended some of their family events including fun BINGO for prizes.

Unfortunately I wanted glass doors but the options were only black and white which don't really match the color of the billy (offset oak). Paying was torture. There is only self service and only 2 clerks to help with snafus of which there were plenty. So even though I was first in line I spent 15 minutes waiting. I also found that they no longer offer discounts for loyalty card except for a few "on sale" items. Maybe that's why they were so empty. Oh! And the food? It was ok but nothing was ready (still cooking) and so there was a long line of people waiting for the food. I wanted the new chili chicken but the wait was too long so settled for the meatballs. They were good but I was craving the chicken. This was around 1pm so they should have been prepared with ready food. It was a rather disappointing visit.

The IKEA restaurant, or better said cafeteria, has a variety of items including meatloaf, chicken, and of course swedish meatballs (both vegan and non vegan options). The meatballs which come with two sides, typically mash potatoes and peas are usually the popular choice. My wife opted for the chicken dish with a side of mixed veggies and sweet plantains because of course it's a Miami IKEA. I went with the traditional meatballs. I feel the meals are always at a good price point but unfortunately they needed salt. We had to laugh as the sweet plantains made every bite better. It was just a flavor bomb compared to everything else. We laughed as Swedish meets Latin food and boom...flavor country. If you ever saw that classic Bambi meets Godzilla, you would understand how I felt about Swedish food meets Latin Fried Plantains. The desserts are very good. The chocolate cake was super moist and that Almond Caramel Cake was amazing. Their soda options are unique and are low on sugar. Worth a try. The self-imposed delay I referred to, picture it: All the demo had been done, tile installed and cabinets half in and I STILL hadn't managed to pick out a countertop!!!
