I found Fischer on Yelp, and used them because of the ratings...and couldn't agree more! I actually live...and work...in Nashville, TN. I work for an interior designer who needed a bed delivered to a client in Denver...and to make it more complicated, the bed was in NC. The NC company could only deliver to a dock in CO and not to a residence, so it would be a "2-stop" process--I had to find a place to both accept and deliver the shipment to a residence. I called numerous (not to be named) moving/storage companies that I researched in the Denver area, and all of them acted like I was crazy. I just needed to deliver one piece of furniture to a residential area, and when I called Jeff (Fischer, hence the Fischer Van Lines) he immediately was on board and agreed to do the job. Even quoted me an "exact price" which was not totally cheap, but not unreasonable at all. The bed was delivered today--right on time--not early, not late; which in my business, is totally important. People are busy and need to stick to a schedule! AND--even better--my client gushed about how friendly Jeff's delivery guys were, and they were super accommodating. Keep in mind--I have never met these folks! Total peace of mind for us in Nashville to hear that! Even better still--I was charged the EXACT price I was quoted. No additional fees or anything! I've used these guys twice now and just booked em for my third move to a different neighborhood here in Denver. These guys are the real deal; the reviews speak for themselves. The owner knows exactly what he's talking about when he quotes you on how long he thinks his men can move you in (which in my experience, has been his son and his nephew), and moreover he is super friendly and reliable. The dudes who show up for the move hustle without being careless, and the way that they easily carry a massive couch down the stairs speaks to their level of serious skill. I found them on emove.com. They came, they loaded everything (2 guys), they had a truck, they drove the truck, they unloaded everything, service was perfect. I left a 5 star on the emove website perfect. I gave their phone number to friends that were moving too. They were not as satisfied as we were. Also, on their webiste, it is 70 usd an hour for 2 guys an hour and a truck. On emove it is 70 usd an hour you go rent your own truck. Jeff (the owner) told me it is to compensate the hefty commission that emove takes. I used them twice already and i have to say, it took 3h each time, and it is the best 250 usd spent in a while. read more

I was referred to use Fischer Van Lines by a friend and despite their quote being slightly higher than other companies, we heard they did a great job. The communication was great and all our belongings were well taken care of; the men who moved our stuff were great and communicated with us throughout. However, our total cost ended up being almost double what they quoted because it took longer than anticipated. Despite me giving all the information requested of me prior to the move, the estimate was very far off. It was quite a shock to get the final cost. Now look at Fischer, almost perfect reviews and let me tell you they earn them! They sent two guys when I had other moving company tell me I needed 5. Ron and Shane (who came in on his day off because someone called off) were seriously the most hard working guys I've met. They were careful, quick, courteous and got the job done in less time than I expected. These guys kicked butt. Seriously, they move like lightening. I was prepared to help load and after the first few boxes I realized I was slowing them down so I just stayed out of the way and let them work. Nothing broken. Nothing damaged. I've been moved twice by Fischer Van Lines (both times within Denver). The first time I had some miscommunication when setting up the move date, so they had me scheduled for Monday instead of Sunday. Jeff scrambled Sunday morning to get some guys and a truck over to get me moved, and it worked out great. The second time, about a year later, was probably the best move of my life (after moving WAY too many times in recent years!). I hired FIscher Van Lines on the recommendation of a friend who had used them in the past and also from the Yelp reviews. I had a pretty difficult job, moving two different apartments into one new apartment. Both of the old apartments were on the third floor of a walk-up in two different buildings and the new apartment is on the second floor of a walk-up. From the initial contact with Fischer to get the quote and from the movers that were brought in, they were nothing but professional. They gave courtesy calls the day before the move to confirm the move sites and times. On the day of the move, I received a phone call from Reno stating that they were on their way and arrived when they were supposed to. I had Reno, Rich, and Justin as my movers. They worked their tails off and moved all three places in a span of 3.5 hours. They packed up the truck efficiently at both old places and helped set up the furniture at the new apartment. One thing that I really liked about Fischer Van Lines is that they were up front about all of the charges that would occur for the move. They were reasonably priced too. One thing that was really good was that the time they arrived at your place and the time they left the new place was how they charged. They didn't start the clock the second they walked out of their warehouse and arrived. I will recommend Fischer to all of my friends if they need moving services. The move was "OK." The major details were fine, but the minor ones were lacking. The guys were nice and professional, and things went well at a high level. (But there have been several wtf moments since they left....which shifted my opinion quite a bit.) I have moved cross-country and locally (in other states), and this is the first time I have ever had movers incorrectly reassemble several pieces of furniture, leave items in the front yard, or have anything break (even if it was MDF--and they did tell me about it). Overall, I believe it was just a mistake to be the second move in their day. (Two guys have always been able to handle everything in the past, and my perception was they needed a third person to help make up for the longer day they had...and the mistakes were simply careless ones.) To be fair, I did tell the owner things went well at the end of the move. The guys fixed the things I noticed before they left (like a mattress being placed incorrectly). Unfortunately, I didn't notice the rest until the next day or later. For me, it is the most frustrating that I'm spending my time (with the assistance of friends for 3 heavier items) to get the furniture put back together correctly...that was a major reason why I hired movers in the first place. However, I understand that type of thing may not be as big of a deal for other people. read more

These guys communicate ahead of time and through the move, they're realistic in what they tell you, and they do a great job. And, once again, I was laughing all day. This year, I had three movers, which was well work the extra $25/hr. I'm marrying a guy who refuses to pay anyone else to do something he is capable of doing. BEST MOVING EXPERIENCE EVER! Just to give you some background, I have used professional movers half a dozen times in the past decade, and had experience with multiple big name moving companies. Fischer did a wonderful job from the start to finish! The positive experience started right away with an actual person answering my call and giving me a quote right away, confirmation call 48 hours before, and a call when the guys were on their way. They also didn't try to rip me off, or hide charges in the fine print. My cost came out right where it was estimated! I was also very impressed with the professionalism of the movers who actually did all the hard work loading and unloading my goods! Michael B, Freddy, and Dominick took great care with all my furniture and belongings! They paid attention to every last detail, and didn't damage my walls, doors or floors (unlike my experience with other movers). All three gentlemen were polite, courteous and extremely hard working! These guys moved super quick yet carefully!! I was so impressed with them; I actually stopped at the ATM to get more cash for a bigger tip! They also took care to disassemble and reassemble furniture properly, and didn't complain at all about the crazy ikea assembly process (that stuff isn't made to be disassembled and reassembled). Okay-- here's the deal. Movers can scam the crap out of you. It's a risky business but feel confident going with Fischer Van Lines-- they rock. We moved out from the Northeast using United.... United moving is a group of movers across the country who are VERY professional and awesome, but also quite expensive. We searched around and found Fischer. They were CHEAP-ER, not totally cheap, but WELL worth the money. Have you ever experienced moving without having to beg your friends? Without lifting your couch? It's the BEST money you will ever spend. We moved on New Year's Day. These poor guys. They were clearly hungover, mostly because they had been called in last minute because their coworkers who were scheduled bailed. So they moved a bit slower than usual, but still managed to move us out of our 2nd floor apartment and into our 1st floor new apartment in four hours. They were great. Extremely friendly and professional, they made quick work of my one bedroom apartment moving from one building to another on the other side of town. They brought wardrobe boxes for clothing like my suits that I didn't want to wrinkle by packing up, art boxes for frames that wouldn't fit in my smaller boxes, and they disassembled/reassembled my larger furniture as needed. Highly, highly recommended. This is the first time I've used movers - partly because I'm cheap, and partly because I'd heard great things about movers....oh never. My move was a great experience. I left the second story of a historic Victorian with a tight staircase and moved in a third story walkup. They were fast and worked their butts off. I have a TON of books, which are heavy and not fun to move. I'm also bad at packing. Not a single thing broke (well, except a couple of glasses that I moved in my car because I thought they'd be safer). Even my cheapo, Ikea particle board bookcases survived without a scratch. I have moved with Fisher twice within the metro Denver area. Both times the movers were extremely quick, great with communicating around arrival time and how long they thought each phase of the move would take, and took great care of my belongings. I (unfortunately) have a lot of IKEA furniture which struggles with being disassembled, moved, and reassembled. The gentlemen who moved me (both times) were extremely careful with my crappy stuff and treated it like it was their own. I also purchased the Yelp deal they currently are offering (as of July 2015) and saved $75 off the move total which was great. After having a bad experience with another moving company my husband and I were not looking forward to hiring another. But from the initial conversation with Jeff at Fischer Van Lines, the experience was an excellent one. All the movers - Harry, Lee and Mel were friendly and professional. We paid by the hour and they moved quickly because they were conscious of that. They all handled our things carefully and placed things exactly where we wanted - even if they had to move them more than once. We had a bed that I had lost the assembly tools to, but Lee put it together on his own in just a few minutes. We weren't thrilled with our service from Fischer Van Lines, and we likely won't use them again. We moved with them in January 2013. The bad: - They estimated three hours to do our move (1br to 1br) and it took seven, with three movers on the job. The move was very slow, and very expensive. Where other movers I've seen really hustle, they seemed to mosey. - We took their recommendations on the size of the van, based on detailed information we provided (number of rooms, number and sizes of pieces of furniture, number of boxes), and the van ended up being too small. - We had to do a lot of "managing," along the lines of telling them what to move next, telling them where to put things (including labelled boxes and furniture we had already discussed). The entire seven hour move required hands-on involvement on our part. For the money we were paying, we really hoped to have movers who would just "deal" with it and get it done. The good: They got us from A to B. They didn't significantly damage our furniture (we would have caused more if we did it ourselves). They moved my console piano without an extra fee. They handled some heavy pieces that are a pain. We appreciated that they are bonded and provided insurance. read more

This is an excellent company to use when moving your belongings!! We had the FAB 5, which were Harry, Lee, Freddy, Mat, and Red Hot. They were amazing! They fit two households, over 14,000 lbs in ONE truck. Only did one run, they came under their initial estimate and were extremely professional and friendly. They treated our stuff like there stuff, if something was already broken they would bring it to our attention, I mean who does that anymore? These guys take pride in what they do, and they do it well, very well. Not to mention they were funny and a lot of fun to be around. Of course I read all the reviews, and I spoke with the owner. There was no convencing, I felt completely comfortable with them from the get go. After a long search online and calling to get quotes, I decided on Fischer. They called the day before to confirm, and the day of they called to ask if they could come early. Which was great, because my move ended up taking longer than expected. The longer time was at no fault to Anthony and Ron, the hallway at my old building was verrrrrrrrry long. These two guys literally ran down the hall at times to get things in truck. They moved so fast and were so nice the whole time. They brought blankets and garmet boxes, which were so awesome. They only had three, and I could have used a few more, but I also never told them I had a giant closet full of stuff. I could not have been more happy with the move. They are more expensive, but they don't start until they get there and talk to you and make a game plan. Other places charge for drive time. My wife and I had them move a 10'x10' & a 5'x10' storage units packed full of various moving boxes, several pieces of heavy solid oak Stickley furniture and a bunch of odd & ends like 5 pairs of skis, snowshoes, bikes, artwork, tools, etc. Nick, Brad & David did an outstanding job, were extremely professional & courteous, and hustled throughout the job. They were so efficient they got the job done about an hour and a half faster than the estimate. They took tremendous care with all the items and we experienced no damage. The move involved loading a freight elevator to the 18th floor. They were prepared with all the needed dollies, blankets even some additional boxes to make the move go super smooth. This is the second time I have used Fisher Vans Lines and they are amazing! I had a pretty complicated move with a stop at my storage unit, then my boyfriend's house (who wasn't totally packed) and finally our new house. It took the guys a total of 6 hours and they were great! They called ahead of time to ask if they could add a 4th a discounted rate and in the end, it paid for itself. I have two flights of stairs in my new house and I could not imagine moving all of our heavy items through all of the stairs. We are very pleased with our experience from Fischer Moving. Harry & Freddy did everything you could ask of movers: they were right on time, they were professional and respectful of our things; every minute they were on the job, they worked diligently....I really can't say enough positives about them. We moved from Littleton (3rd floor condo with no elevator) to Evergreen (windy roads and really really long descending driveway). I was extremely happy with my move--everything went very smoothly! The guys were professional, friendly and efficient. This is the second time I have used Fischer Van Lines and I would definitely use them again. Moving is stressful, but Darian and Ron actually made the experience pleasant. They were professional and efficient and very careful with all of my furniture. They were so fast...I realized early on the best thing to do was stay out of the way!! They were actually running in and out of my apartment to get another load!! They finished earlier than estimated and I could not be more satisfied with my experience. I don't think I'll ever move without these guys again. The two movers (Matt & Ralph) were professional, polite, and arrived on schedule. The price was very reasonable and no hidden costs...flat fee per hour and flat gas fee, that's it. The only thing I would've done differently would be to get a longer truck, we ended up needing 2 trips so it went a little longer than expected. Although the movers definitely squeezed all the room they could out of it. I'd recommend having cash ready to go as they don't accept checks and credit cards get charged an additional 4%. read more
