I don't repeat restaurants very often when I travel, but the Geiger Key Fish Camp is becoming an exception. Food is great, service is friendly, and the setting is beautiful, especially on the water. It's a pretty basic bar, but you're on the water, so you shouldn't be drinking some complex mixology thing anyway. Bloody Mary is standard but tasty; they seem to be out of their namesake beer whenever I visit, but the other local beers are good. The servers know the locals and treat the tourists like they might become regulars, which I applaud. The conch salad is my favorite appetizer, although next time I think I'll ask to substitute their wonton chips for the tortilla chips. The conch chowder is also yummy. We split the Captain's platter of fried goodness: the shrimp and scallops were wonderful. I could've skipped the calamari, but the rest of the plate was great. This place is a little out of the way, but a gem. read more

Definitely worth a stop! We had the shrimp Po boys which were $15 each, a beer I believe it was six dollars the child's menu was very reasonably priced at five dollars. And the view was priceless. You can see all the way down to the ocean floor. They also bring around a free drink taste of the drink of the day. It was amazing as well. Great gem off the beaten path. Food was delicious as well as the drinks. The view....gorgeous! A local joint. The only thing that was disappointing and the only reason i gave it a 3 star review was the bus boy tossing drinks into the canal and not removing the plastic straws. So I literally was trying to grab them. If they are going to do that I hope they change to paper straws. So sad they thought this was ok. read more

I like pulling up on the boat here because it's a chill little spot I can rely on for delicious seafood at the drop of a dime. The outdoor view is very tranquil and surrounded by natural mangroves. The conch fritters are very fresh and always a good idea to split amongst the table. The hogfish is always my favorite item to order but I also switch it up to the tuna wakame nacho platter which is refreshingly savory and has the crunch factor that pairs perfectly with the fresh catch on top. I ask for extra sauce on the side for that one because I like to dip the chips in it. It's not full of the touristy crowd you'd find down the strip so it's the chill vibe you want with great food. It's in Geiger Key Marina so you can come by land or water for a decadent meal that's sure to please. read more

It is definitely worth your time to head off the beaten path to check out this place. The setting is pretty awesome. Beautiful waterfront dining in a super casual setting. Service was friendly and food portions were HUGE! Everyone enjoyed their meal as well as the scenery. At night there is a light on in the the water that attracts the fish and you can see the huge tarpon swimming along with the smaller bait fish. Great entertainment. read more

Stopped in on the way from Key West to the Middle Keys. So good we came back again on our way to the airport to go home. Fabulous food and service. These folks know what they are doing! Atmosphere is perfect as well and overlooks a beautiful Mangrove canal. read more

Really enjoyed our lunch here. I had the blacken mahi sandwich. It was very fresh fish and well cooked. I ate every bit of it, it was so good. Very cool atmosphere, what you think of a restaurant in the keys. Our waitress was very nice and food came out quick. Will be back! read more

I took my family to Fish Camp and we loved it! It seemed like a lot of locals hung out there, which is more fun than your run-of-the-mill tourist trap seafood restaurant. Victoria was our server and she couldn't have been kinder! She gave us great drink and entree recommendations and made sure we had a great experience. Everyone was happy with their meals and we got to enjoy sitting by the water. I almost fell in the water because I was eagerly feeding the fish our table scraps and my kids and wife got a big laugh, which made the night. read more

Great spot for local seafood! It's located in the middle of nowhere and attached to some sort of RV park, but you don't have to be a, "resident," if that's what they call it, to indulge in the goodness of the Fish Camp. We were seated right on the water, next to an illuminated section of water, where we could see all sorts of species of fish whose sole purpose was to provide us with an evening's entertainment, and they certainly did not disappoint. Overall, the food was good, not great, but the smoked fish dip, as an appetizer, was out of this world! Finally, a meaningless detail for me personally, but for what it's worth, the staff was super friendly, if that's a concern of yours. read more

Off the beaten path in the best way possible. This place is super cool- picnic tables, friendly staff, right on marina so boats are docking and kayaks are pulling up right next to you. We weren't that hungry which is why I can only give 4 stars-- but the conch salad was delicious and refreshing on a super hot day. read more

Really enjoyed this. Actually went twice in 3 days and both times the services was excellent t. They were handling all the new health rules like champs. Food was really AWSOME too. Only suggestion I would have is ditch the frozen veggies and so only fresh. read more

Found this gem through yelp on our way to Key West and boy am I glad I did. Easily our favorite restaurant of our whole trip. The view is insane and the food is incredible. We loved it so much were hoping to stay in that area next time. read more

Husband and I walked in for dinner about 4:45 on a Wednesday. Looked at the specials as hostess seated a table of four. The hostess returned. She said she could not seat anymore people. She said only one waitress, no tables available for lack of wait staff. Not an offer of a seat at the bar or even a wait list. Just turned away. Understand lack of staff, but, I would have had a drink at the bar and waited! Don't know why we would give it a second chance, but we did. Disappointed again! Don't waste your time! Very laid back out of the way lunch/dinner spot. Ample seating with a view of the water. Cute decorations and comfy seating. Weather was perfect for this visit( mid 70's slight cool breeze). Any hotter it wouldn't be nice . Sooooo many french fries with our food , wished for maybe a slice of fruit or celery instead. Service was outstanding , drink refills, checked how the food came out, offered dessert . The dog friendly dining room was great. Went to Boca Chica beach afterwards just down the road to walk off the feast. read more

I came here for pick up order after kayaking right next door. It's a very cozy vibe with friendly staff. I tried their hogfish sandwich and conch chowder and both were delicious, especially the hogfish. A bit on the pricier end but it definitely tastes very fresh! It's also very convenient to eat here if you want to bring your kayak and kayak around for free for a bit. There's a free dock next door. Plenty of parking and plenty of tables. The menu is quite big and the other options look amazing too. I wish I could go back to try the other stuff on the menu. read more

This is for the restaurant. I watched in horror as two small girls with long hair were touching things and STANDING ON a food prep table a waitress with long white blond hair had set up to refill small cups with condiment while she actively was scooping food there. The kids had bare feet and were stepping into and playing with a plastic food tray that the mom (not the waitress but apparently a customer??) eventually took away and placed on the table. I think it is a tray to hold raw cut lemons. Was it ever washed? Who knows. I didn't get a photo of the child while she was on the table, but I wish I had, to show the health department. In addition,, the food was horrible and the price ridiculous. This place has gone downhill. Food much worse and not comparable to Hogfish, a sister restaurant with almost the same menu. It's like there's no management or oversight and anything goes. But the worst part was children playing on and stepping into a food prep area. That is pretty inexcusable and prompted this review. Why did staff allow this? What else do they allow out of view? I am so creeped out by this entire experience. I've never seen worse at a restaurant. read more

We ate three times there during our tip to key west, and each time the foods gave us big surprise and satisfaction. The foods are really fresh and tasty, especially the new catch fishes each day. Very cute restaurant located right off Geiger Key - super hard to find because it's such a tiny little spot right off the water. Pretty peaceful besides for the fighter jets that were practicing. Our server was very nice and recommended the mojito - we both tried the mango mojito - very very delicious and fresh. We also had the tuna nachos, another incredible dish. We had ordered tacos as well but due to an incident that happened sadly before our eyes, we couldn't eat. People pulled up to the dock in a fishing boat because one of them had a diving accident and he unfortunately passed before our eyes. The host was nice and told us she understands and we paid the bill and left. Other than this traumatic experience, I would rate this place 5 stars and would go back when I'm driving back to Key West passing through Geiger Key. read more

Great views sat right on the water and watched the fish. Had the mezcal margarita which was very good. Had the hogfish street tacos blackened and they were very good with fresh slaw. A little expensive but the view was worth it. read more

If you are near Key West - this is a must go to local food dive. I read the reviews and it live up to 5-star expectations. The service was quick and friendly. The view is beautiful and food was amazing. I had the steak n shrimp. The steak was marinated and cook perfect , how I like it. My family had the yellow tail whole fried fish. It was fresh and delicious. The konch was cook perfect and amazing. You are going to enjoy the food and great hospitality. You won't be disappointed. read more

This place is right next to the kayak tour location. Had the Philly Steak & Cheese Sandwich tonight. It was so good!!! It came with a lot of fries and they were great too. Gabrielle was our waitress and she was very sweet and very knowledgeable about everything. And she made sure my wife's Impossible Burger was perfect. It definitely tasted perfect. And our table was near the water which allowed us to see kayakers paddle by. I definitely recommend this place for dinner to those with, or without, kids. read more

This place is banging! It was recommended from the jet ski people and it did not disappoint! I got the hogfish fingers for app and they were amazing. I ordered the tuna wonton nachos and they were the best twist on nachos ever! Sushi meats nachos and completely amazing! Everything else everyone ordered from fish to pulled pork was great too. The best food we've had while in the keys from Marathon to Key West! Great water side vibe too! read more

If you'd called it birthday cake, I'd have found that a more accurate description. Might as well call it Diabetes On a Plate. Tomorrow morning, a plan was proposed (that I seconded): we'll stop by Kermit's to grab two slices to go and stash them in the fridge, specifically to revisit after dinner at Red Shoe Bistro as a point of reference. If Red Shoe's pie ends up being too close to call, we'll have no choice but to bring a slice home and do a true, side-by-side comparison in real time. And in the interest of not ending the trip on a sour note if tomorrow night disappoints, at least we'll be leaving Key West on Friday morning with Kermit's key lime pie as our final bite.

We had conch chowder, grilled fish of the day (yellow tail), mushroom burger. The conch chowder was good but a little bit peppery. The grilled fish was perfectly cooked. Loved that it gave you the choice of how you wanted your fish to be cooked (grilled, blackened, panko). Will definitely come back if we come to Key West again.
