We went to this restaurant for Thanksgiving at noon and we sit outside (we had a dog). It was raining and they push us to the outside and went I sit down I was all wet. And I have come back here several times this time we brought some friends. The food again was amazing. I went off the wall and ordered cauliflower steak. It actually is pretty good but I like cauliflower. I did order it with grilled shrimp. Next time I think I'll go back to seafood because I do like my seafood :-) The other thing I noticed tonight they had Pilar rum. That's my upgrade over the mountain rum. The breakfast lasts from 8:00-11:00am. They also have a cafe that has more of to go items. We arrived around 9:30am. The reason I state that is because I was looking to order a croissant with my breakfast & they were out. Minus 1 star. Food: The food was decent as well as my latte. I ordered their main breakfast (pictured). A little overpriced but so is almost everything in Key West. I do have to say their cheesy potatoes that come with the main breakfast are delicious! Service: Service was okay. My husband is unable to have added sugar at this time so he tries to stick to protein & veggie options. He opted for the omelet (not pictured) which he liked. He wanted a smoothie but asked the waitress if their whey protein had any extra sugar in it & instead of offering to go see she just said she didn't know & it comes out of a bin so she wouldn't even be able to read on the label. Fortunately my husband isn't allergic to sugar, but hopefully they take any serious allergies into consideration for any future guests. Minus 1 star. Ambience: It was a nice area on the patio right next to the marina. Chairs were comfortable. The only complaint is lack of enough shade if you want to sit outside. There were plenty of guests who were trying to pull tables & umbrellas from other areas of the patio to try to get a decent spot. But inside was air conditioned & had nice views also. Overall: If you are a guest in the hotel, it is worth a try. If not, there are better meal options closer to downtown. read more

Breakfast- We waited 10 minutes for someone to at least acknowledge us, finally let the host know we were still waiting, then the server argued with us about how long we'd waited. He then proceeded to slam food, coffee, sugar basket, etc, down on the table. Dinner - Bartender took exception to our comment about asking for water, placed my wine glass on the bar, said "there ya go", and ignored me for the rest of the evening. Strong five for this resort bar restaurant that delivers on exemplary hospitality and wonderful food. Debating myself, whether or not this is the best burger in the Keys. It's definitely in the top two. Quality sings with this one. I'd read a few reviews here and there and heard some things from others about the burger and they're right. Worth coming I'm just for that and the poshish setting. Well worth mentioning, they deliver an exceptionally high level of hospitality and customer service on a level I haven't seen in a long while. read more

I have a warning for anyone who visits in the summer. This is an open air establishment. On a hot August night after touring Key West I came here for a meal. I was hot and there was nothing to cool me down. I even asked to sit under a fan. The prices are not for the faint of heart. They are expensive. The food that I had was solid. My first visit I only ordered calamari and it was calamari. Nothing stood out as being the best nor the worst. You can see from my picture the size of the plate of squid. My second visit I had blackened grouper served with broccolini, jasmine rice, passionfruit butter sauce. Blackened grouper was fried grouper. If you are thinking it is a true blackened dish in the tradition of Paul Prudhomme you will be disappointed. It was not a bad dish just not prepared in the New Orleans way. One thing was new to me was the broccolini. They somehow take broccoli and make it slender I did not take a picture but it was darn good. A person should rightfully ask why I ate here twice? Well Ocean Edge is not located in Key West. So you are not going to walk to fine dining. You can get a Burger King if that is your thing. read more

Sadly, I'm taking 1 star off because the service - while friendly - was extremely slow - and not very attentive. This happened for both meals. Seems like they're short staffed (like everyone else). We only dined here for breakfast as we were staying at the resort. I ordered eggs benedict and I enjoyed it. The eggs were done just right and the potatoes were actually pretty soft and buttery. The breakfast was nice, but the coffee selection on the menu strangely does not list just plain drip coffee which is available. Lunch and dinner were fine. The food is well seasoned and nicely presented. For the price point, you can likely go elsewhere and get better offerings. Wait staff is generally nice. Jen, the bartender is exceptional! We celebrated Father's Day 2022 with a fantastic Brunch Buffet at The Yellowfin Bar and Kitchen. Chef Juan prepared a delicious menu sure to please any guest. The Prime Rib was tender and very flavorful... an A+ in our book! Turkey was also a hot carved selection. Home made garlic mashed potatoes were over the top awesome. Fresh vegetable medley was prepared with just the right seasoning. Quiche, bacon, sausage, waffles and scrambled eggs rounded out the breakfast options. Salad toppings were an offering of healthy nuts, fruit, and veggies with many choices. Mini fruit and chocolate cheesecakes were the perfect ending! Key Lime and Hazelnut chocolate beignets were warm and yummy. They even gave us free sorbet BUZZ Bars for saying "We Love Stock Island" Can't get more perfect than that! The first few days were 5 stars!!!! No questions asked! I am on a strict protocol due to my diet (Paleo + Whole30) I have to avoid so much ingredients due to health reasons. So our server Atvila I believe was his name; he served us so well for a few days. My order (isn't like typical) so we worked it out together eventually he got me and asked the chef to avoid oils + seasonings etc as requested and served what I asked. (Steamed fish, veggies and salad) The next time I came in to order a fillet mignon (I wish it was grass fed) but it's ok, I asked with no seasonings and oils and they did a delicious job! Then I later ordered catch of the day fish tacos (with lettuce wrap as the shell) Everything tasted so delicious! Later I got boiled chicken breast (I wish it was organic) side of steamed broccoli, spinach, avo etc. I also brought my own sweet potato and asked if they can boil it for me ( since I can't have gluten, dairy and nightshades) they gladly did and cut it into cubes the way I asked! I can't thank this place enough for their a management!!! But the last day - that's when I got very disappointed... a different server was serving us, he was Hispanic I don't rmemeber his name but he seemed like he was annoyed with my "special" order adjustments ... he placed it very quick and in the end the meal had seasonings and oils and such... I wish servers like this take note and learn to really seek what the customer is ordering. I am a very specific person and I want it like specially ordered. It's very tough for me to travel and find good eateries that won't make me feel ill, so it's important for me to have my order correct. All in all - I'm glad this restaurant with the amazing chef took my special orders and they deserved all the tips we gave. 9/10! read more

All 3 stars for the view and the barkeep Mike. He's amazing. The bar serves great Mojitos. The food is okay (too much oil and too little seasoning) but the view makes up for it. Limited options if you're a Vegetarian. But given the location I expected it. Mike however got me a replacement omelette within a few mins that wasn't as greasy as the one seen in the picture. Quick Note: A croissant at the yellow fin costs more than probably the same crossiant at the café. Quicker Quick Note: 18% gratuity included on all orders. 20% for parties of 6 or more. Yep even the coffee. I don't think all of the servers and hostesses really provide that level of service. read more
