Not the greatest experience for a first time but not sure if Id come back either. Came in around 6:30pm and asked if there was a table ready for 2 and was told the tables were booked however bar is open seating which was fine. However there were two tables that were vacant for the entirety of our 1 hr stay at primrose. Moving forward the calamari frita came after 15 minutes which was expected however every piece from the calamari to the vegetables were saturated with oil (I know its deep fried but cmon guys my fork was extremely soaked from it as well as the plate that i put it back on and wasnt offered a new dry plate ). Unacceptably we asked it to be taken away. Brussel sprouts were a tad greasy as well but was somewhat bearable. Good flavor but due to the oil content we ate 1/3 of it... The bolognese was great. Nice meat-pasta ratio and quality cheese (ricotta & Parmesan). My only complaint was it came out lukewarm. If you come, please request Tanya as your server she is the most knowledgeable and kind server. I have experienced in a long time. This was my first time here last evening, and I must say, I was underwhelmed and truly disappointed. The Brussels sprouts were delicious, but the $18 Catalonian chicken skewers were dry and tasteless. They came out much later than everyone else's plates, and perhaps they were forgotten under the warmer. I should have sent them back, but I did not want to dampen the social time with friends. With that said, our server, Autumn, was fabulous. We had vegans in our party, and she was on top of making sure their dietary needs were accommodated. The cheese and charcuterie, the crab cakes were our favorite, but the shrimp, balsamic mushrooms, paella, ahi tuna, Tuscan steak, were all delicious. Our family of 4 tried Primrose Path on a Thursday night. We were greeted and seated promptly. Our table was near the door, and we had no trouble hearing each other throughout the evening. The space is warm, modern, and welcoming. Since it was our first time here, our waiter suggested the number of dishes that likely would satisfy us. When we couldn't decide which chardonnay to order, the manager brought us several samples so we could choose. Very nice. We ordered the fried goat cheese, Catalan crab cakes, fried mozzarella bocconcino, patatas bravas, and chile rellenos. Our waiter told us the food would come out 1-2 plates at a time, which was perfect. He also checked in on us periodically and filled both water and wine glasses. The food itself was delicious. We decided to splurge on dessert and ordered the churros and chocolate pots de creme. These also were delicious. The cinco leches was one of the best parts of our meal (not pictured bc we dug in). Add in great bartenders and servers and you've got a winner. One thing they do that I love is your choice of wine in a 3 oz taster, standard 6 oz glass or by the bottle. So for half the price of a glass you can try 2 different wines. They've also got a very good craft beer selection and a nice selection of top shelf liquors (along with a creative cocktail menu). I had high hopes for this restaurant, but my recent experience was nothing short of a disaster. I had reservations for 5 PM on a Monday and arrived promptly, expecting a pleasant dining experience. Instead, I was seated outside in the sweltering 95-degree weather, despite having my 8-month-old baby with me. Clearly, an infant can't tolerate such extreme heat for an entire meal without air conditioning. When I politely asked the hostess to seat us inside, she curtly informed me that there was no room, as all tables were reserved. However, we could see numerous open tables inside. To verify this, I checked the reservation website, which still allowed me to make another reservation without any issue--clearly, her claim was false. This blatant dishonesty and lack of empathy for a family with a small child was astonishing. It felt like bringing a baby to this establishment was frowned upon, making us feel unwelcome and undervalued as customers. Ultimately, we left and went to Fish Daddy's Grill, where we had a fantastic time and were treated with the respect and consideration every customer deserves. I strongly urge the management to address this issue. Your staff's attitude and deceitful behavior are unacceptable. I invite the manager to reach out if there are any questions. This experience was profoundly disappointing, and I will not be returning. I strongly urge anyone with children considering coming to this establishment to reconsider as there are plenty of other options out there.
