    Grilled teriyaki shrimp
    Rachel H.

The food was fantastic! Service was awesome. We sat at the bar both times we went. The crab legs, prime rib and lobster melt in your mouth. The teriyaki shrimp is amazing! We love this place! One of our top 5's when vacationing in Daytona Beach Shores.

This is really good considering I had to have 2 quarts of the soup to bring home.

Let me start with we were greeted immediately when we walked in. Then seated just as fast. Bryan our server was great and really made sure to take care of us. I told him that I do have a shell fish allergy, (I can still eat fish). I ordered the blackened grouper, and my husband had the spiny lobsters. Right after we ordered Bryan came back and let me know that the blackened is cooked with the shelled fish pan. I said thank you for letting me know and I ordered it grilled. That little detail of him taking the time to just be sure meant the world to me. Many place don't and I find out the hard way. Once the food arrived I was actually happy I had it grilled it was like butter tender and tasted so good. My husband loved the lobsters and the hush puppies were very flavorful and soft. The soup omg it was delicious. Delicious enough that we ordered 2 quarts to take home. Guess what's for lunch tomorrow. as you can see at the beginning of the meal we were given the cinnamon rolls and 2 dinner type rolls. I saved half of my cinnamon roll as dessert. I could only have one bite though and told my husband to eat the other half I loved all the ship decorations and the pictures that we had at our booth were very pretty. Being our first time we will for sure be going back. It is about a 35-40 minute drive but well worth it.

Underwhelmed. Blackbeards has been on our list to try for quite some time now. We arrived shortly after they opened for dinner. There was a good crowd of folks already there and seated. Server, Jack, came over promptly to take our drink orders and tell us a bit about the menu. We let him know we were there to celebrate a birthday and he was very personable. We started with a HH Yuengling ($3.50) and ordered a half dozen raw oysters ($12) Oysters were some of the biggest, plumpest ones we've seen in quite some time. Asked the server about the steaks. NY strip on the early bird menu ($33) looked appetizing but he steered me to the Filet ($41) as a better, less tougher cut of meat. Not that I didn't know this already but it was obvious he wasn't a fan of the NY Strip. As a matter of fact, he only eats the Prime Rib (which we knew going in that is what they are know for). The Mrs is a HUGH prime rib fan and we let Jack know she likes it really, really red and rare. Jack said that wouldn't be a problem and they'd cut it accordingly. Dinners come with bread, soup and salad which makes for a good deal. So the food came out and the prime rib was in no means red or rare. The picures are deceiving abd ut looks redder due to the lighting. But, in the picture where it's in the distance you'll notice how pink it is actually. Jack didn't ask so we didn't say anything. The Filet was good but not great and was cooked to the proper medium rare but again we weren't asked even though I cut into it while Jack was there. Nothing special from the restaurant in terms of birthday celebration. Although, a customer at an adjacent table overheard it was my birthday and belted out the birthday song for all to hear . Anyway, one and done for us at Blackbeards Inn.

Prime rib was good. They have early bird dinners from 4PM to 6PM. no reservations or waitlist. Didn't take long to get seated. Cinnamon rolls were cold but the rolls were warm.

The ambiance is something I absolutely loved. It was nicely decorated with miniature tall ships of all varieties and other seashore items. This place is known for their prime rib which looked delicious, we opted for the stuffed Salmon instead. While you can't really stuff Salmon, the nice-size portion of Salmon sat on top of a crab cake... Yummy! They also offer this smothered in cheese, which my friend got. This dinner came with salad and a bowl of fish soup along with rolls. You leave quite full or what I like to call, planned leftovers. I don't think a review is complete if you don't talk about the service, everyone from the hostess to the wait staff was nice and professional, I loved our waitress who was an absolute delight. In summary, I don't think you could go wrong with anything on the menu; go eat, relax and enjoy this landmark in the NSB area.

Sunday evening and our party of 9 was hungry. Decided to go to Blackbeard's Inn around 6:30. The hostess was very friendly and let us know there would be a small wait because she needed to seat a party of 10 that came in before us. The wait was brief and we were quickly seated in a comfortable section. Our server, Bryan, was excellent! He did not get flustered with our needy table full of questions and requests. I am so impressed with how they handle allergies. We notified them of multiple allergies at the table and they took it very seriously. The manager, Shawn, came out to double check about allergies and clarify what was safe and not safe. One of the little ones was distraught to learn that the cinnamon rolls were not safe for his allergy and they noticed and arraigned for him to have an ice cream sundae after dinner. They give you so much food! With every meal you get fish chowder, salad, cinnamon rolls, hush puppy, and a buttered roll. You also get a side. Majority of the table order a version of the you pick two and enjoyed their selection and preparation. I got the salmon blackened and Rockefeller. It was a little spicy but really good. Everyone at the table left with a to-go box and satisfied.

I thought this place was very good! First of all, it is VERY popular, so expect a wait. We got there probably 5pm for an early dinner and had a 25 minute wait. I never saw it not have a wait the whole time we were there- always filling new tables. All entrees come with a lot! Soup (has pork in it so couldn't try), side salad, rolls & cinnamon rolls, and a side. We shared a fried mushroom appetizer which was tasty and came with a horseradish dip. I ordered the early bird prime rib, which is 10 ounces and was decently lean- lots of meat! It was really delicious and flavored well. We ordered a few drinks and unfortunately I cannot remember the names but they were all Jimmy's recipes (our server) and they were very strong & good. Jimmy was an amazing server, seriously, hands down one of the best I've ever had.

Every time we come to NSB , we visit Blackbeard's for some seafood and good service. This time I ordered the grill mahi sandwich and my brother the shrimp platter . Both were very good although the fries could have been a bit more crispy. Outside of that , really fresh and tasty.

Service... maybe some of the best service in NSB We had Bryan (he was phenomenal!!!) Along with the manager Shawn, they helped serve our very allergy specific and large and particular party very well!!!! I had the blackened seafood platter and also added scampi on top. It was delicious. I do wish the blackened had a tiny bit more flavor however. They are great at accommodating allergies!! Other people at the table had friend seafood platter, charbroiled oysters, cheeseburger Amazing for families!!!

    More yummy cinnamon rolls.

Had a NY Strip tonight. Cooked perfectly, medium. The baked potato was really good also. Our waitress never introduced herself, but Jimmy stopped by to say hi and asked if we remembered his name LOL Hubby had the fried combo platter again and was very happy. The wait was a bit longer than anticipated, but fully worth it. The best part? The service, the decor, the friendly staff AND enough leftovers for reruns tomorrow night! Until October, bye bikers!

An old school vibe with decent sized portions is what we found at Blackbeard's Inn. The Blackened Mahi-mahi dinner and the Sirloin Steak off the EaryBird menu were both pretty good choices and our server Joanne took good care of us.

Service was amazing from the get go. Smiling faces welcome you in. Our waiter was energetic and always on top of our needs. Soups and salads were delivered quickly. Food was hot and delicious. The ambiance was good. They open at 4pm for dinner. Early bird from 4pm-6pm. Soup, salads, rolls, and cinnamon rolls included with your entree.

And they are good but they are the most popular and fill up fast so the wait the tends to be un-reasonable and borderline on bearable. Dinner is not meant to be eaten that early just to avoid the crowds. At RT you CAN get a reservation and the staff is friendly, kind & attentive. I am the type to never order anything on the "Chef's special menu" but the ambience was so warm and inviting, I lost my head a little-bit. I'm glad we did we order the Crustini and it was next level. I thought I was eating on south beach for a moment. Flavors were intense, but not overpowering & it all complemented one another. If you are there make sure you try this appetizer. The bread for the Crustini was fresh not overly hard or stale. The main course I had was perfect. I had the steak au poivre. The sear on the meat was spot on and the sauce was not overly peppery. It let the steak do its job with the seared crust. Chefs veggies were good and the red bliss mash was velvet, smooth. The cocktails here also are amazing! I'm not just saying that my wife order something called the beatnik. You can taste the fresh beet juice. You can tell there was somebody back there pressing them freash. You know how beets usually stains your teeth? This did not! Overall fabulous experience. We even took our kids here and they had excellent choices for kids menu. Very happy over all. We did not try dessert. However we notice on the menu they support local dessert shops in the area with their offerings. Next time we go back we will definitely try them. I hope you found this helpful buen provecho everyone

She recognized us from prior visits and acknowledged that, which is a sign of true professionalism. The food is always enjoyable. I had a lobster roll on this day and it was great. We sat at the outdoor bar ordered some happy hour drinks which they offer $5 margaritas and $6 house wines all day, every day. Nick was extremely tentative and even provided us with waters without us having to request it. The $6 wine pours come in a large sized glass and the size pour was decent! Once seated at our table we were served by Bri and she made some good recommendations. For apps we had the Cuban candy as an app and it was a huge hit at our table. On Thursdays they do a "prime rib special" which isn't really a special as far as pricing instead it is more so a special that is offered only on Thursdays for $44. 2 people from my party ordered it and they were satisfied. I ordered the chimichurri chicken sandwich which is a new menu item. The portion size of the chicken was good, however, the chimichurri / sauce seemed to lack. Also I wasn't a huge fan of their house sweet potato chips, they weren't bad, they were just okay, however, I would opt to have French fries next time. As far as ambiance, the inside is quite small which I got worried about sound and talking amongst my party but that wasn't an issue. They don't seem to take reservations unless your party is of 6 or more.
