Sunday evening and our party of 9 was hungry. Decided to go to Blackbeard's Inn around 6:30. The hostess was very friendly and let us know there would be a small wait because she needed to seat a party of 10 that came in before us. The wait was brief and we were quickly seated in a comfortable section. Our server, Bryan, was excellent! He did not get flustered with our needy table full of questions and requests. I am so impressed with how they handle allergies. We notified them of multiple allergies at the table and they took it very seriously. The manager, Shawn, came out to double check about allergies and clarify what was safe and not safe. One of the little ones was distraught to learn that the cinnamon rolls were not safe for his allergy and they noticed and arraigned for him to have an ice cream sundae after dinner. They give you so much food! With every meal you get fish chowder, salad, cinnamon rolls, hush puppy, and a buttered roll. You also get a side. Majority of the table order a version of the you pick two and enjoyed their selection and preparation. I got the salmon blackened and Rockefeller. It was a little spicy but really good. Everyone at the table left with a to-go box and satisfied.

I thought this place was very good! First of all, it is VERY popular, so expect a wait. We got there probably 5pm for an early dinner and had a 25 minute wait. I never saw it not have a wait the whole time we were there- always filling new tables. All entrees come with a lot! Soup (has pork in it so couldn't try), side salad, rolls & cinnamon rolls, and a side. We shared a fried mushroom appetizer which was tasty and came with a horseradish dip. I ordered the early bird prime rib, which is 10 ounces and was decently lean- lots of meat! It was really delicious and flavored well. We ordered a few drinks and unfortunately I cannot remember the names but they were all Jimmy's recipes (our server) and they were very strong & good. Jimmy was an amazing server, seriously, hands down one of the best I've ever had.

Every time we come to NSB , we visit Blackbeard's for some seafood and good service. This time I ordered the grill mahi sandwich and my brother the shrimp platter . Both were very good although the fries could have been a bit more crispy. Outside of that , really fresh and tasty.

Service... maybe some of the best service in NSB We had Bryan (he was phenomenal!!!) Along with the manager Shawn, they helped serve our very allergy specific and large and particular party very well!!!! I had the blackened seafood platter and also added scampi on top. It was delicious. I do wish the blackened had a tiny bit more flavor however. They are great at accommodating allergies!! Other people at the table had friend seafood platter, charbroiled oysters, cheeseburger Amazing for families!!!

    More yummy cinnamon rolls.

Had a NY Strip tonight. Cooked perfectly, medium. The baked potato was really good also. Our waitress never introduced herself, but Jimmy stopped by to say hi and asked if we remembered his name LOL Hubby had the fried combo platter again and was very happy. The wait was a bit longer than anticipated, but fully worth it. The best part? The service, the decor, the friendly staff AND enough leftovers for reruns tomorrow night! Until October, bye bikers!

An old school vibe with decent sized portions is what we found at Blackbeard's Inn. The Blackened Mahi-mahi dinner and the Sirloin Steak off the EaryBird menu were both pretty good choices and our server Joanne took good care of us.

Service was amazing from the get go. Smiling faces welcome you in. Our waiter was energetic and always on top of our needs. Soups and salads were delivered quickly. Food was hot and delicious. The ambiance was good. They open at 4pm for dinner. Early bird from 4pm-6pm. Soup, salads, rolls, and cinnamon rolls included with your entree.

Came in on a busy Friday night and our party or 3 waited about 25mins for a table. The place was packed so I think the wait time was more than reasonable. As soon as we were seated our waiter Sean approached us and took our drink order and gave us a few minutes to look over the menu. While we were perusing a young man dropped off warm rolls and cinnamon rolls for the table. When Sean returned we placed or order and it was out to us in about 20mins. My wife had the filet which was cooked to a perfect medium for her, and I went with the prime rib medium rare. At Blackbeard's it's always prime rib for me. Some of the best you'll find anywhere and I've had it all over this great country. My son got the kids cheeseburger and fries and loved it. I've been coming here for a long time when on vacation and things haven't changed much over the years which in this case is a great thing. Good food and service is pretty much guaranteed. Until next time Blackbeards...thank you.

Don't be ashamed to try Early Bird 4-6pm daily for ALL ages! Been passing this location for years yet never tried it until 1/1/2026 to ring the New Year in. Fabulous quantity, variety, taste, and freshness served up by team members obviously loyal to this longstanding family-owned operation.

Early bird prime rib and fried shrimp.

Great service. I've been here many times. If you go away hungry it's your own fault. Best prime rib ever!! Love the fried shrimp too! Dinner comes with soup, salad, dinner rolls AND sweet rolls for dessert.

Food and service was good. Huge menu with lots of choices. It was recommended to me to order the fisherman's platter blackened & broiled which I did and the quality was fantastic. The oysters were super fresh & tasty. Full bar.

Pick 3 Broiled combination Fish, Scallops, and Shrimp $24.99 delicious!

The design is incredible, they did an outstanding job of using the natural beauty of this Grand Tree and mixing it with a classy/beachy vibe. We sat at the bar on the second floor of the Treehouse that provided a relaxing environment and very welcoming Staff. While interacting with most of the Staff we primarily talked with Alexis, she made you feel like a regular whether you were or not. Alexis was phenomenal, very knowledgeable with their wine and drink menu allowing her to provide great options depending on things you like. We also had great experiences with Sidney, Jackson, and Bri, all assisted in making our visit enjoyable. We planned on drinks, maybe an appetizer, but decided to give dinner a go. As expected, Alexis' knowledge of the food menu was outstanding as she provided great recommendations for dinner. We started with the in house made Zucchini Bread appetizer, simply delicious. For our main courses we had the Prime Sirloin Steak Special, Grilled Shrimp, Sea Scallops, and 4 oz Filet. Everything was perfectly prepared and seasoned, too include the sides, absolutely delightful. Overall, I wish Norwood's was closer to home (Huntsville, AL) because it would be on our frequent flyer list of GoTo restaurants, whether for drinks and appetizers or dinner. If in the area definitely don't miss out of this Gem

And they are good but they are the most popular and fill up fast so the wait the tends to be un-reasonable and borderline on bearable. I am the type to never order anything on the "Chef's special menu" but the ambience was so warm and inviting, I lost my head a little-bit. I'm glad we did we order the Crustini and it was next level. I thought I was eating on south beach for a moment. Flavors were intense, but not overpowering & it all complemented one another. If you are there make sure you try this appetizer. The bread for the Crustini was fresh not overly hard or stale. The main course I had was perfect. I had the steak au poivre. The sear on the meat was spot on and the sauce was not overly peppery. It let the steak do its job with the seared crust. Chefs veggies were good and the red bliss mash was velvet, smooth. The cocktails here also are amazing! I'm not just saying that my wife order something called the beatnik. You can taste the fresh beet juice. You can tell there was somebody back there pressing them freash. You know how beets usually stains your teeth? This did not! Overall fabulous experience. We even took our kids here and they had excellent choices for kids menu. Very happy over all. We did not try dessert. However we notice on the menu they support local dessert shops in the area with their offerings. Next time we go back we will definitely try them.
