So, this spot has become an option in our "no cook" dinner nights. Their fried and grilled fish were seasoned well and delicious. Their garlic bread was just ok, and their hush puppies were still kind of too sweet. But, my family's go to dish lately has been their Cajun pasta. They gave us a generous amount of chicken, shrimp, and bell peppers. Their pasta was also plentiful with good texture. We could taste the Cajun spices coming through. I really enjoyed the creaminess and the tomato sauce undertones in this pasta as well. It's not much to look at inside. But, most people come here for quick takeout food. I got the fish tacos with blackened catfish in corn tortillas and I thought they were great. I decided to try the meal, and it came with a side and drink. I had the seasoned mixed veggies and they were a bit too seasoned. Too salty for my taste so I could only eat 1/3 of it. I will likely try a different side and maybe just something without seasoning as a side. The cashier was very friendly and helpful with my order. And the spot was low key and it felt like a "hole in the wall" type place where it looked kind of hidden and yet it turns out it is a hidden gem. Ordered Fish Place via Uber eats and I'm not quite sure how "Fish" can be in your business name, and you cook it so poorly. I ordered the fish and onion rings and my husband ordered a shrimp poboy. The fish was nearly inedible. I have no idea what "particular fish" this was, as they did not state on the Uber menu, but I'm positive it's a low quality, more than likely swai. It was over cooked, hard and the breading they use is a strong miss, in both flavor and texture. Onion rings were hard and tasted as if they used the same grease they fried the fish in. They give you a stake piece if garlic bread for what is unclear but I ended up throwing it away. The poboy was NOT much better. There are so many places in the area, Eat here at your own risk. This place is a hole in the wall kind of place - formerly a Pita Pit. The place is usually pretty crowded every time that I've gone. Even today at 4:30 there was a line. The food itself is delicious and tasty. The seasoning tastes tangy and has the perfect level of spiciness. I definitely recommend the grilled catfish and jumbalaya. The only downsides to this place is that it is really small, and I mean it's not the type of small that would make it Romantic. Just cramped and noisy. Also, word of this place must be getting out, so the prices were increased. But all in all, very good Cajun style seafood. Totally a hole in the wall place that closes at 9:30pm each night (earlier on Sundays). They do a seriously steady take out business. The interior is tight and not incredibly clean. Find a table and hope there is enough room to sit. Chairs bang into each other. The po-boy baguettes are far to flattened. They need to be much lighter. The shrimp weren't bad but they weren't great. The catfish was fine. Overall, the food is ok and cheap. Definitely cheap. If you are going to get food from here, make sure to get take out, because you won't want to eat inside. FOOD I ordered the $14 fried seafood platter (comes with two sides) my mom got the $11 fried shrimp poboy (meal comes with one side), and I can honestly say it was enough food for 3-4 people. The seafood platter came with 2 catfish, 2 chicken tenders, 1 stuffed jalapeno, and 1 crab puff and it was all really good!! The green beans and mixed veggies sides were pretty good too. Definitely helped trying to get all the fried stuff down. Also the 12" poboy is HUGE We didn't finish our food at all, but we took it home for our other family members. It was around lunchtime and as I walked in I noticed it was unusually quiet for the lunch hour. Anyways I finally decided on a shrimp Po-boy small size and when it came out it was definitely large enough to fill you up! The shrimp was generous and the Po-Boy tasted fresh and good! The manager who served us was very nice and personable and the dining area was nice and clean. Overall a good choice for seafood. They have a lot of offerings from gumbo to etouffee to a seafood platter. But I really looked the Po-boys. Ask for a side of cocktail sauce. It's really good! This is a small "mom & pop" style of place, only have several tables in this small location so I always order takeout. I find the food to be well prepared, delicious, and well packaged for takeout. If you compare the prices charged for a simple fried catfish dinner with 2 sides at only $12 to the catfish dinner at someplace like Pa*** or Flo** for $22, the value if evident. Last night I purchased 2 dinners for the price of one at the other places. I can't speak for the other items on the menu as I always get the catfish and oysters. You're not getting luxury or upscale here, but they have some solid solid food, and I have tried most of it. My favorite dishes are the Cajun pasta and the crawfish or shrimp etouffee. It is consist of 25 pieces of fried catfish for $29. You get 2 sides (we usually get onion rings and red bean & rice). If I am eating without my family, I would order the large - fish taco (fried catfish). The large comes with 4 tacos $8.99. There is also a combo that comes with 1 side and a drink. I also would alternate and order a Medium - fried catfish & fried oyster, fried catfish & fried shrimp, or fried shrimp & fried oyster. It just depends what I am in the mood for. My co-worker had red fish and shrimp comes with 2 sides, french fries and vegetables. He said it was good - 4 stars. Another co worker had gumbo and shrimp creole. They did not like it very much. It was watery/soupy. By looking at it, it did not have the thickness 2 1/2 or 3 stars. If possible check out their website or Groupon for coupons. Located at HWY 6 and Williams Trace Blvd, this hole in a wall is one of Sugar Land's good eats for cheap secrets. You will barely notice it as you pass by on HWY 6, but if you're fortunate enough to give them a try, you won't be disappointed. You can't get Cajun cuisine this good for the price you pay for. Inside, you will find the place a bit tight and plain. They offer a combination of seafoods that would cater to every taste. For most of their fish menu, they offer a choice between catfish or redfish, battered and deepfried, or grilled. If you like your fish grilled, I would suggest getting the redfish (a bit fishy tasting), if you like a cleaner taste (most do) I would recommend the deepfried catfish. From there, you have a daunting choice in the menu. There's a combination of fish and shrimp plates, fish tacos, pasta, jambalaya, etouffee, po-boys and more. They offer a number of sides usual to cajun cuisine and all are okay to good. Fish Tacos are filling and if you consider yourself having an average appetite, then one would suffice. The fish taco meal, would be enough for two people, or take the other half home for another meal. their deep fried shrimp and fish plates are a bit inconsistent, most of the time, they're fried to perfection, a few times, I got them over-done but on average I'm happy. Jambalaya is okay, but my absolute favorite is their shrimp etouffee and their Cajun pasta, all I can say is try it, you won't be sorry you ordered it. The staff is friendly and attentive, they will ask you several times while you eat if everything's okay. I for one, found it a bit too attentive, but that's just me. Inside could use a lot of cleaning though... Extremely cramped. And chairs touching each other while no one was in them. First, they had signs for crawfish for $6.99 and $5.99 located in several locations in the restaurant. One even scratched off $6.99 for $5.99. Hand made posters and printed one with each too. WHICH IS IT?!? Second, when we got in, the restaurant just got empty yet our order took foreverrrr... I swear it was around 30 mins for a small, quick place like this. Not sure why when all the stuff was so small and simple. Third, the food was pretty bland and portions were bad. I got the redfish with onion rings and mixed veggies for $10.99. You get one measly little filet, 4 bland onion rings and a few burnt veggies. My bf got the shrimp and chicken for 13.98 and he wanted a baked potato. The chicken portion looked fine but 4 little pieces of shrimp and he did not like his green beans. I've decided to put this on my list of not to go back to.
