While good, most restaurants on the island have very similar menus. Fish & Gin was unique and the food was all fresh and tasted amazing! The food and drinks are good. The staff is friendly. Charging between $13 and $20 USD per taco is obscene given the context of the restaurant. If you set your prices at $250 to $400 for a meal of four, you need to provide far better service and quality. read more

We ordered the tartar trio (tuna, salmon, local fish catch) and it was not only a generous portion but it was fresh and flavorful. Been hearing great reviews for this place and finally decided to stop in for dinner. The service was amazing, our waiter Remix was so much fun and had great recommendations. The manager ( I didn't catch his name) also stopped by the table and talked with us. Could not speak more highly of the staff here. The vibes were just what we were looking for. Food was all very very good, some of the best dinner we have has so far on the island. Last week we had a party of 14 dine at the restaurant. Almost everything was amazing. Cold food was cold, hot food hot, and great service. We had just one complaint, and it really soured me on the experience. We ordered the ceviche trio- salmon, tuna and "white fish." The plate came out and looked amazing! Salmon & tuna were perfect. The last fish was... tilapia! What?! With ALL the local seafood? It was inedible. The fish (which I would never had ordered, had I known) was so tough and chewy you couldn't get through it. You couldn't cut it with a fork. It was so off-putting that I had to push the plate away. We mentioned that it was awful, and I sincerely hope they stop using it. Have been to this place for desert a few years ago and their brownie did not disappoint. I frequent the island frequently but with so many places and choices to eat, it's been hard to get back for a meal. I was craving lobster tacos & stumbled upon this place after searching online. This place has a good vibe with great decor and exceptional service. The server, we forgot his name, but he has some pretty impressive Harry Potter tattoos. We loved having him as our server, and he was delightful. Back to lobster tacos.. they were ok, but I would've preferred them to not be deep fried. Not sure if you can request that or not? The batter seemed to take away from the lobster flavour. We also ordered the grilled shrimp with mashed sweet potatoes & veggies. The shrimp was perfect, the mashed sweet potatoes were different but actually tasted good together, and the veggies were just sautéed peppers- not the best pairing IMO. We started with the fried squid and again, too much batter, but was ok in flavour. We didn't end up trying any of their gin specialty drinks. The cocktail menu looked impressive.
