Gin and Venus
Sabra R.

Food was not as good as our last time here. Tuna was okay but my husband's marinated steak was fatty and chewy. Good drinks, nice entertainment and staff was excellent.

Changed the menu nothing like the selections of the past. Still specialize in gin drinks I had a steak it was good but a lot of fat and a bit tuff. We miss the place it was before

We stumbled upon this place and boy are we glad we did! The food was absolutely delicious and their cocktails were beautifully crafted. The ambience was great and so was the wait staff! Definitely worth the stop!

Best ceviche I had!
Rachel O.

Only came for drinks and appetizer th, but all were amazing! The server was super friendly and accommodating. I asked for spicy and the chef nailed it! The ceviche was the best we have had so far! Unfortunately we came back a second time and tried some of the mains....not so good. The beef tacos were so chewy, we couldn't eat them. We might be back on another trip, but bummed about the inconsistency.

Location in Mujeres was easy to find.

Outstanding menu! Great service from knowledgeable waitstaff, pleasant surroundings! Can't wait to go back!

This was by far my favorite place to eat here at Isla de las Mujeres. We ordered the tartar trio (tuna, salmon, local fish catch) and it was not only a generous portion but it was fresh and flavorful. We also ordered the fish ceviche which we also thought was seasoned well served with avocado so lemony good! Do give this place a try! It will not disappoint if you like fresh seafood

Been hearing great reviews for this place and finally decided to stop in for dinner. The service was amazing, our waiter Remix was so much fun and had great recommendations. The manager ( I didn't catch his name) also stopped by the table and talked with us. Could not speak more highly of the staff here. The vibes were just what we were looking for. Food was all very very good, some of the best dinner we have has so far on the island. Drinks were phenomenal, our favorites were the gin martini and the coconut drink (came inside a shell and tasted great). We ended the meal with a slice of lemon pie, it was perfect!!!! We will 100% be back here!!!!

Fish of the day tostada

Came on the recommendation of Andrea from the dive shop! Some of the best tostadas I've ever had, this place is a bit on the pricier side but totally worth every penny spent. Tostadas: Coconut shrimp - three giant shrimp deep fried with sweet coconut in a guac and tostada boat Octopus - so fresh! perfectly grilled and topped to the brim with delicious octopus Shrimp ceviche - absolutely divine and a huge serving, enough to share with 3-4 people or eat as an entree as a whole. Service: excellent service, the waiter were very kind and proactive Drinks : 10/10 - some of the best drinks I've had in Mexico

Atmosphere: very cute place. We were here 2020 Feb before pandemic. We decided to try this before getting on the ferry. And the restaurant was so cute. Food: Both my husband and I love gin and they had all sorts of gin cocktails. Which is amazing. The fish taco was fresh and good as well. The fries were satisfactory as well. Service: Quick and great.

Great little find through Yelp. The server was especially excellent as his vast knowledge of the gin and menu could be explained fluently in English. Had the Fish of the Day and it was very good. Would definitely recommend this place if you are a gin lover and needed something other than margaritas for a change (ie me!)

Recent visit will on a girl's trip and the food was AMAZING and very fresh. The guacamole is fabulous as well as the tostadas. Skip the Tuna / Rice rolls not recommended, but everything else was great.

Deep fried lobster tacos! Everything we had was great but the deep fried lobster tacos is the main reason I ate here. Beautiful setting, extensive menu, quality ingredients and bilingual staff. We loved our meal and would highly recommend this place. The bar has an extensive selection of gin. PROS: Lobster tacos Fresh snapper filet Octopus tostada Service Prices

Octopus Ceviche, Coconut Shrimp Tostada

This place was great. Amazing seafood! I got the coconut shrimp tostada and it was my favorite entree I had while visiting the island. My boyfriend got the octopus ceviche and he loved it. Not to mention the restaurant itself was so cute and the employees were very friendly and attentive. The sangrias here were bomb.

Probably the best civeche on island

Wow! The biggest ripoff in the island. Overpriced and undervalued. The service started great but…read morethey were not busy, as soon as more guest came, the service became slow and forgetful. Missing items we requested and having to ask a few times. The place looks nice and open with two levels. They are supposedly a "market" but it's a restaurant and a pier stop. People with their boast can come in. They have showers as well. We order the grouper (fish) and 1 dozen of oysters on the half shell. The fish came with the choice of rice, pasta or steamed vegetables. We decided to do the whole fish and get one filet out. I'm originally from an island so eating a whole fish is normal so I wanted to experience it again because back home where we live we don't have it. The fish was ok. It needed more flavor. Rice was hard and cold and not really tasty. The oysters were harder than usual. We ordered two of their Marbella sunrise (drinks) and they were good. Overall the food was NOT good or fresh. It made me sick! I got food poisoning. At the end of our trip in the island I got so sick I was puking on the beach and then walking the streets like a drunk person puking my guts out and not even with a buzz?! No thanks! My final advice? AVOID at all cost because what you will be missing here is your money from your wallet. Nothing special. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Awful. Definitely not worth $221.00. The stone crab was so tuff you couldn't eat it. My husband…read moresent it back and they still charged him $21 for the 1 piece he tried to eat. The other 2 items we Ordered were sub-par fried rice and 6 shrimp. Not worth it at all! Very disappointed in this place.

She was walking us a little towards the back, but since it was my first time to Isla, I wanted to people-watch, so I asked about a table up front. As soon as we headed over, I saw why she passed it - it was right next to the saxophone player! Thank goodness his volume level was perfect! Just loud enough to be heard over the crowds walking down the 'lane' out front and the restaurant diners' chatting. But not so loud that we 3 couldn't chat. We loved it! Now these two can EAT - and love to try everything on the menu, whereas I tend to eat smaller portions. I ordered the shrimp tacos and they were fantastic - huge pieces of shrimp, so good! The lobster mac n cheese is so good, I would have loved to bring a big container of it home with me! The restaurant is very busy but very clean and tables are well organized for maneuvering a quick trip to the restroom before leaving. Our server, Maylen was attentive and pleasant. The bar area, facing the street, looked like a lot of fun, I'll have to try it next time!

I would've liked the actual meat of the fish to be more tender (it bordered on overcooked) but still I walked away plenty satisfied. It does have lots of tiny bones. Bread basket came with the most delicious roasted eggplant in oil, I could've eaten just that with the bread and been a happy camper. The roasted octopus was not bad but a touch too heavy on the sauces for me, I would've wanted more of the flavor of the octopus on its own. The potatoes under the octopus, however, were perhaps my favorite part of the whole meal. Everyone else seemed happy with their food - the catch of the day (with the fluffiest mashed potatoes) was a very popular choice. If you're sick of seafood, they have steak and braised brisket on their menu. Really cozy and romantic ambiance as well for if you want to dress up slightly. This place gets very popular for good reason; I liked the little bar counter they set up out front so you can watch the grilling in action.
