My name is DJ Hanson and I'm in Sales here at Fisher Auto. I've been here a little over a year now and I sought out a family owned dealership, when I first visited seeking a roof and employment. I read the reviews of customers and the replies from the owners and managers of the dealership. I'd say I went back about 3 years to see what the buyers and community had to say about this 50+ year old and family owned dealership during Covid and after. I applied at multiple dealerships in the areas I wanted to live and Fisher was my first interview. After meeting with Matt Betancourt and Scott Shimer (Acura mgr at the time and Vice President) of the Dealership, I was sold. Even though I had other interviews lined up, I told myself that if they send me an offer the next morning, I would accept it immediately. They did and I accepted. The owner and President of Fisher Auto, Craig Fisher, gave me and another new hire a full tour of the entire dealership. Sales, Service, Detail, Parts and Collision. Not a single department was left out and Craig knew every employees name as we walked through and he told me about his father and the history of Fisher Auto. At the near end of the tour, Craig gave me and the other new hire, 3 different books. Each of them with personalized notes, highlighted sentences and phrases and a note on the reason why he chose the books he did. January 25th 2024 was my 1 year anniversary here. The buyers I've encountered and advised, educated and sold to, have been absolutely fantastic. Getting this caliber of prospects to consult to and locals who in turn gave me advice on which restaurants I should visit and which trails to hike and more have been truly helpful and a honor to receive (I'm a foodie). A less than ideal experience with one very bright spot! We called on a weekend for a vehicle that had just arrived. DJ informed me the vehicle was not ready but he would call me and let me know as soon as it was. During this time I had looked at many vehicles trying to decide on the best for our family. A few days passed, and we heard from DJ, just as he said we would. His impeccable follow up and attention to detail really stood out compared to the other dealerships that we had worked with. DJ was very kind and not at all pushy through any of the questions we had. Our financing was in place, and since we live in Brighton and the dealership is in Boulder, DJ got to work that way we would save time once we arrived.He ensured the paperwork easy to understand and, made himself available . If he didn't know the answer he was persistent enough to find it and call back on time. The deal became tricky when we asked to take advantage of the current Federal EV rebate on used vehicles which we qualified for. There is an option to apply as a down payment or a credit on your tax return. The finance department seemed to know very little about the program and from what we were told, ownership and management had been involved, and were told that the dealership is not participating, and would not apply the down payment credit with not much other explanation from the dealership other than the deal would not happen. By this time we were informed of this we had already traveled over an hour after our work day to complete a deal we thought was done. After the disappointment in our experience and spending 2 hours+ commuting to the dealership, we went back to the drawing board and landed a vehicle we are more than happy with. (A local broker not only applied the tax credit as our down payment but delivered to our home.) With in 24 hours of our experience with fisher Honda, DJ contacted us with news that he had gone to bat for us, and the dealership was willing to change their mind. This goes to show how much of an asset to the dealership DJ is. While the company made us feel more like a sale, DJ showed that the clients he works with are important to him and sees them as real people. This is very rare in sales these days. If given the opportunity we would absolutely work with DJ or refer anyone in search of a vehicle. read more

My husband and I have been looking for a used car for three months now. We were looking for a 2003-2006 Honda CRV specifically as they remain to be incredibly reliable and can last with good regular maintenance for a very very long time. We were determined that the only way we would find this car was to search private sales but after another failed attempt this past Saturday, we decided to look at a 2006 Honda CRV that we had seen online at Fisher Honda. I called from a parking lot where we had just viewed a very poorly maintained private sale CRV. Our idea was that we would just be looking at the engine of a CRV in Excellent condition. We had no intention of buying a car on Saturday. We were in the mindset of still looking and not in a rush. When I called Fisher Honda DJ answered and said he would pull the car up front and would be there to meet us in 15 minutes. We arrived and I walked around the car while my husband looked underneath to see if there were any oil leaks. There were none and we instantly knew we were looking at an exceptional car. Within 3 minutes of our arrival DJ was with us and telling us details and history about the vehicle. He was friendly, informative and both my husband and I felt that we could trust him. We took the car out for a test drive and when we returned to the dealership my husband opened the hood and looked at the engine. Within 30 minutes DJ gave us the car history, the carfax, the details of what Fisher completed on the vehicle which included new tires and rotation and an oil change. We knew within 30 minutes that we would be buying this car from DJ and Fisher Honda. We cannot say enough good things about the salesmanship of DJ, his kindness and communication skills are top notch. We are so thrilled that we found the perfect car in well maintained excellent condition that we were looking for! I'm not from the area and when I had to get a new car in a hurry, I relied on Google reviews to help me find a good and honest dealership. I'm hoping that my review leads you to choose Fisher Honda also. I knew that I wanted a Honda CRV because it has the highest or nearly the highest rating by both professionals and consumers alike for a compact SUV. The reviews from other buyers of Fisher Honda cars led me to one of the best experiences I've ever had in buying a car! It was my lucky day when I walked in the showroom and was directed to Alex Kelly to help with my search. Alex is exceptionally knowledgeable about his product. He is a good representative of Fisher Honda in that he isn't interested in selling a car no matter what but is more interested with listening to what the customer wants and then matching the car to the client's needs. Alex is also very polite, courteous and personable as well as being very professional. After Alex helped us pick out a car, we had another pleasant experience with Ron in the finance department. Ron was most helpful and also humorous, which added to a pleasant experience. We were able to drive a new car out of the parking lot at Fisher Honda in the matter of only 2 hours. I have a feeling that the positive experience that I had buying the car is going to only continue. Fisher is an honest dealership who stands by its product. I'll be taking my car there in the future to be serviced and in the meantime contacting Alex directly with any questions I might have. I recently came to Fisher to purchase a used car, and I was a bit nervous as this was my first car purchase. I had found a specific car online I was interested in, and when I came in for my appointment at 9, DJ welcomed me in and had the car already running and warmed up! He set great expectations every step of the way, and was honest and clear with me. While we spent some time waiting he was great to chat with and so friendly! His customer service skills are phenomenal, and it's so wonderful to meet a salesman who cares about their customer. I would highly recommend anyone to see DJ for their next purchase. When we went to meet Ron, he was quite friendly at first, until I told him I was not interested in purchasing a service contract. He pressured me about why I would not purchase one, as if I was stupid for not doing so. I found it extremely unprofessional and inappropriate for him to try pressure me into it, and then shame me for declining. I am a salesman as well, and it was very disappointing that he felt that he needs to sacrifice integrity and customer experience in order to try to make a sale on the service contract. A no is a no, and shaming your customers just makes them feel like a dollar sign. I certainly felt that way to Ron. Overall, I had a good experience and DJ was amazing! I am utterly disappointed and frustrated with my recent experience at this Honda dealership. After extensive communication and agreement on the price of a new car, my family and I were excited to finalize the purchase. However, this anticipation turned into dismay when, after a 30-minute drive back to the dealership, we were casually informed that the car had already been sold. The lack of professionalism and basic courtesy was startling. There was no prior notification, apology, or attempt to offer a suitable alternative. The overall attitude of the staff was indifferent and unapologetic, which only added to our frustration. This experience has not only wasted our time and effort but also significantly diminished our trust in this dealership. It's disheartening to witness such a lack of integrity and customer service in a well-known establishment. I strongly advise potential customers to reconsider visiting this dealership. Their lack of respect for customers and unethical business practices are reasons enough to stay away. **Conclusion:** This dealership's conduct was unprofessional and disrespectful. David R. My 2003 Honda Accord's front left ball joint broke last month after my car struck a large pothole. The car came to a grinding stop with the wheel turned outward leaving the vehicle disabled. I had it towed to Fisher Honda in Boulder. I bought the car there when it was new and I've always had the car repaired by their excellent service team. I called Honda Service Manager Harry Snyder and he came outside when the tow truck arrived. He personally assisted with installing an undercarriage wheeled-brace to help unload my car without causing additional damage. Service Advisor Jason Norman presented a timely and accurate estimate that included control arms, axle shaft, left front ball joint, bearing, stabilizer, etc. Since my car had almost 200,000 miles on it, aftermarket replacement Honda parts were recommended, which saved a lot of money. Jason also provided me with a Honda rental car for the length of the repair. We went to Fisher looking for a used CR-V with specific features. We worked with Rich Moss, who said they simply didn't have what we needed. He did not try to switch us to something else and just said he'd let us know if they got something in that would meet our needs. Within days he let us know he had one, even before it was out on the lot, and came in on his day off so we wouldn't have to start over with someone else. Everything was smooth and easy. Recently I took my new-to-me Honda Fit back to Fisher Honda for its first oil change. The oil change includes several fluid and system checks, so I was concerned when a dashboard light the next week told me there was an issue with the brakes...and I hadn't left my parking brake on. So I took it back to Fisher for their express service. They were very kind to me and showed not a trace of condescension when they explained to me that the brake issue light and the low tire pressure light did indeed look a lot alike, and that they had topped up my tires with air. I give Fisher 5 stars b/c DJ, my sales man was great. Typically I'd choose an alternative mode to shopping a dealership, as I've had some less than great experiences in the past. However, finding the right vehicle used these days is tough and my broker wasn't getting the job done. So, I sucked it up and went. DJ was not only a great guy I really liked chatting with, but someone who helped me get the deal i wanted and made the process (which we all know isn't fun overall) smooth.
