We have now had two poor experiences. The first one was shortly after the shop opened. The swordfish we got was terrible. Had definitely been frozen. When we told them they did not stand behind the product, had a very defensive attitude, and didn't offer a discount or a replacement. So yesterday I decided to give them another chance by ordering 10 cooked lobsters for our family and out of state guests. 5 out of 10 the lobster meat was slimy and undercooked. Sorry and disappointed to say we won't be giving them our business a 3rd time. read more

Traveling on I 95 in a motor home the food options are limited. I was so excited to find this place that was not far off the highway and opened at 10 am! We just got to Maine and lobster was calling. We got 2 Lobster rolls , quart of seafood chowder and 2 steamed lobsters to go. Rolls were a perfect breakfast. The chowder and lobsters will be lunch later. Absolutely the best clams I've had all year. They melt in your mouth and none are stringy or sandy. Fries are nice and crispy, cooked to a light brown. Apparently this business is for sale, hope it takes time to sell or that the new owners don't change anything. read more

Great little lobster shack not far from I-95, worth a stop if you're in the area and hungry. Lots of lobster roll options. Note that it's takeout only (but they have four little picnic tables outside). Minus one star for not having ("plain old") clam chowder or real iced tea. SO satisfying! Drove up from southern MA and after a long drive, this was a great start to our vacation. We ordered three lobsters, fries whole belly clams, and clam chowder. Everything was great! Had a great experience here. Pleasant place to sit, as far as seafood shacks go. Nice and clean and comfortable. Very friendly service as well. In terms of the food, the lobster roll was stuffed with big chunks - they definitely didn't use the cheap stuff here. The bun itself however, was perhaps a bit more than what is needed ... very bready, and more like a brioche (which is itself buttery), than a standard bun. I'd prefer simpler bun, but that's nitpicking - the main ingredient was lobster, and this was the best we've had in a while. Price good too. Beyond that, we got an order of scallops, which were nicely fried, generously portioned. Also got a shrimp roll, which was very mediocre ... tiny, greasy shrimp in a very buttery bun. Better would probably be if they offered a jumbo fried shrimp roll, or a shrimp salad roll, neither of which seemed to be on offer but maybe were if we had asked. In any event, we enjoyed it so much we thought about going back 2 days in a row, but ultimately decided to check a new spot out. I ordered 1lb of scallops, 1lb shrimp, 1/2lb of calamari and 7 1 and 1/2 lobsters at 10am for 5:4pm,no problem; however at 4pm they leave me a message and spoke to my wife when we wanted to add scallop dinner , so sorry we only have chicks, take it or leave it, at 6pm we don't have alternatives. They told me they must have sold them all because they did have them when I ordered them. I ordered 10 &1/2 lbs and I got 7lbs and no compensation for screwing us. The icing on the cake, yesterday i ordered roughly the same meal and we received 4 cocktail sauces and 4 tartare sauce, tonight with calamari and extra scallops only two tartare and nothing else. I order lobsters and seafood every night we are at the lake, but I won't order from this place again. So disappointing! read more

This place is under new management of some sort. The seafood is good and fresh, but the price was extreme. $38 for lobster roll and haddock dinner. Their eat-in game needs a lot of work. Doesn't make it tourist friendly at all. Sat down to eat at their children size picnic tables and their seafood delivery pulled up right in front of us and left the engine running. Exhaust...yum. We arrived, told her we were ordering cooked food. We stood there for 10 minutes with no one else in the shop but us and the employee. Theres not enough parking for a large vehicle (18 wheeler) but the parking lot behind them was empty, allowing me to turn around. I have been going tot this place since it opened and have nothing but good things to say about it. They have all of the best seafood Maine has to offer and I don't have to Portland to get it. I probably go in at least 2 or 3 times a week to either pick up something to make at home or to get take out. My personal favorite for take out is the crab rolls but they have so many other great things on the menu. All of the people in there are friendly and always willing to help out. Over the winter I needed a lot of lobster meat for a family gathering, I called them one afternoon and they came in early the next morning to cook and pick the lobster for me. In a word, awesome. Stopped in after getting a recommendation from a local fishing guide. There are tons of places in the area to get seafood, but I am ecstatic that i ended up here. Stephanie, the owner, was very nice and super helpful! The lobster roll there may be the one that I chase the rest of my life. I tried 4 different and all were excellent. One of those rolls and a Maine Root Ginger Beer and that's about a perfect lunch IMO. I also bought fresh lobsters there and they were also excellent. I just want to come back and update my review. I decided to give this place a second chance and listen to the other reviewer on here. I gave the cooked food a try last week. It was amazing. The fried clams were as good as my homemade ones. I tried the crab roll, but it wasn't my thing. The ladies who work there were quite friendly too. I highly recommend the cooked food. It is classic downeast seafood fare. However, I am still hesitant to purchase raw product from them. read more

We are visiting from Pennsylvania and decided to try this for some take out for our campsite. We walked in and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Prices were good. We have twin toddlers and the boys were giving us a Hard time. One of the employees asked if she could show the boys the lobsters in the tank. She let them touch the lobsters.
