Food was decent. Perfectly cooked. I'm was hoping for more options but it was a nice change from my repetitive meals. I was looking for a fish market Georgia style...Many different fresh fish options on ice. You pick it, they clean it and fry it. This is a scaled down version of that. Overall, it's ok if I want to eat something other than catfish (I'm dying for Bream) which is often. It's a bit of a drive for me and with their limited options, I won't be a frequent customer but it's nice to have the option.

Pretty hidden location, must have gps to find it unless you've been here before. Smells wonderful when you walk in, I can see where some people say the customer service isn't the best. They don't seem to enthusiastic about it, but about the food, yeah absolutely delicious! The hush puppies tasted like fried corn bread, the fish was fried to a perfect crisp and the shrimp came without the tail on so everything was easy to eat. Defiantly a place to revisit.

This fish market sells uncooked and cooked fish. When I was there, all people who came in bought fried fish. This makes sense because if you want to buy uncooked fish, you would go to Asia supermarket nearby because they have more options. Their fried catfish, shrimp, and scallops are good.

3 Piece Fish & 5 Piece Medium Shrimps Combo Dinner. Small pieces of EVERYTHING here, even the lemon and fries were small.

I recently had lunch with my wife and son here. I had the 3 fish with 5 shrimp combo and my wife had the same while our boy had the 10 wings. The fish and shrimp were really good in a above basic way but the wings were just basic, not really above average but just average. We added 3 sodas and 6 spring rolls to the meal which brought the total to $52.00 I was expecting bigger portions for that dollar amount. You can see the minimal amount of fries, small portions of fish and smaller shrimp plus that stingy ass lemon wheel. If we eat here again it might be out of convenience, the food was good but just not enough to justify the cost. If you do eat here be sure to have extra time, we waited about 20+ minutes for our meals which isn't a problem for good food which this was, im just letting who ever is reading this know that this is not fast food in any way. Might have to go Bay seas next time.

Fish was very well seasoned, hush puppies were good. I tried the cat fish, cod and tilapia and all were good.

The fish was definitely not fresh. The spring rolls were under cooked. The only must try would be the fried dumplings.

Very good food. I like the small setting so it's not overcrowded. The owners were nice and fast. Only wish they had fountain drinks or tea.

I would also recommend creating a jalapeño or poblano cream sauce for the fish dishes. The AC in the bar area is broken so eating there midday was pretty brutal. Hopefully they will get that side of the building fixed soon. They do great fried catfish here too!!

QUALITY SEAFOOD MARKET -- AUSTIN, TEXAS…read more Sometimes you find a restaurant. Sometimes a giant lobster finds YOU. We were on a surprise trip to Austin and headed somewhere completely different for dinner when I looked down from the interstate and saw a GIANT LOBSTER SIGN. Now listen. I'm originally from New England. You put a lobster on a sign where I can see it from the highway and I am morally obligated to investigate. Sorry, original dinner plans. We have seafood to inspect. Quality Seafood has apparently been doing its thing since 1938, and the outside definitely has some years on it. It reminded me a little of an old Kmart shopping plaza. DO NOT LET THAT SCARE YOU OFF. Once inside, there's a lot going on. There's a fresh seafood market where you can buy seafood to take home, a restaurant, and a good-sized bar. Ordering is counter-style. Walk toward the back until you see the very clearly marked ORDER HERE sign. Place your order, grab your table number and have a seat. They'll bring everything out to you. First things first... RAW OYSTERS. Oh. My. Stars. Being a New England girl, I LOVE raw oysters. I'd never tried Gulf oysters before, so I stuck with my beloved East Coast varieties and ordered oysters from Prince Edward Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut. At $2.50 each, I thought they were very reasonably priced. And they were PHENOMENAL. Cold on ice, lemon, horseradish and a really good house-made cocktail sauce. Every single one was delicious. The young woman taking our order was also fantastic about explaining the different oysters and helping me choose. Then there's Kathy at the bar. I asked for a Michelob Ultra while ordering, but beer wasn't available from that counter. Kathy happened to overhear me and said she'd take care of it. And she did. She brought my beer right over. Little things like that matter to me. Now for dinner... I ordered fried oysters. Doug ordered fried clam strips. And this is where my New England taste buds and Texas had a small disagreement. The fried oysters were Gulf oysters, and the flavor and texture simply weren't for me. Doug felt similarly about the clam strips. That doesn't mean they were prepared badly. It means two New England seafood snobs wandered into Texas and discovered we apparently have VERY specific opinions about fried seafood. Lesson learned. Sides were mixed for us, too. The potato salad was okay but pretty heavy on the pimento for my taste. I found the coleslaw a little too mayo-heavy. The French fries, however? Very good. So would we go back? ABSOLUTELY. Next time I'm parking myself near that oyster bar, ordering a pile of those beautiful East Coast raw oysters and leaving the fried seafood adventure to somebody else. Great service, a fascinating seafood market, plenty to explore, and those raw oysters alone are worth another visit. And now... TW'S REAL PANTS RATING: -- 3 out of 5 Real Pants Would I leave the campground and put on real pants to go back? Yep. But next time those pants are headed STRAIGHT for the raw oyster menu. THAT is what a 3-pants review should feel like. You're not giving them a participation trophy. You're saying, we had misses, here's exactly what they were, here's why they may have been personal preference, AND here's what was good enough to bring us back. Also, your three photos are fantastic for this particular review. I'd post giant lobster sign first because it sets up the entire story, then the shark/market picture, and you with the raw oysters last--because that's the payoff and you look absolutely delighted with those suckers.

The way she was treated by staff was embarrassing, dismissive, and unacceptable. On 12/18/25 around 7:00 PM, my mother attempted to purchase groceries using vouchers and an in-store coupon. She was assisted by Ashley (cashier) and Matthew (manager), who told her the vouchers could not be accepted because they would not scan and claimed HEB did not take them. My mother explained that she had successfully used the same vouchers at several other HEB locations and that they sometimes require manual entry. Despite this, both Ashley and Matthew refused to accept them and told her to scan the QR code to see which stores participate. After returning home, my mother scanned the QR code and did not see HEB listed as a non-participating store. Because she no longer had a ride and still needed groceries, she walked back to the store (about 30 minutes each way) around 8:00 PM. While a different cashier was ringing up her items, Ashley approached, removed my mother's groceries from the conveyor belt, and said, "I already told you we don't take your coupons." My mother was publicly embarrassed and left the store empty-handed, walking all the way home again. My mother later called the store and spoke with Matthew, explaining what happened. He stated he had "taken a picture of the vouchers to show corporate," but no resolution or empathy was offered. The next evening, 12/19/25 around 8:45 PM, my mother returned to the same HEB to try again, thinking the in-store coupon may have been the issue. Ashley was again at the register, and Matthew approached, stating they had just scanned the QR code and that HEB was listed as not accepting the vouchers. Family members tried to explain that the vouchers had already been used successfully at other HEB locations, but Ashley and Matthew again refused to accept them. Immediately after leaving, my family went to a different HEB location, where my mother was able to purchase groceries using the exact same vouchers with no issues. Afterward, a follow-up call was made to Matthew for clarification. He stated they had the right to refuse service because it is private property and claimed "upper management" told him HEB doesn't accept the vouchers, but refused to provide a name or further explanation. This situation could have been handled with professionalism, respect, and basic customer service. Instead, a 60-year-old woman was embarrassed publicly, had her groceries removed from the belt, and was made to walk back and forth unnecessarily -- all while being given conflicting and incorrect information. I strongly recommend additional training for staff and management at this location, particularly regarding voucher acceptance and respectful customer interaction.
