2 filet (I chose cod) dinner with oysters and shrimp, fries and onion rings. (I already ate the shrimp! )
    Gary M.

Wow! This is the best hole in the wall meal I've had in years. I was looking for a seafood place to take a family member for lunch. We usually eat at a seafood place in Austin, so I searched for a similar spot in SA. Man, I'm glad I found Bayseas! The portions were huge and inexpensive and the best part is that everything was hot, fresh, and delicious. My wife had the shrimp lunch special which was 5 shrimp with fries for $7.99. two other family members got the B. lunch special - 2 catfish filets and two shrimp. My daughter got the catfish sandwich which contained two huge catfish filets, dressed , on white bread, with fries. The filets were so big she could only eat one on the sandwich and had the second one as a leftover for later. I got the 2 filet dinner, with 2 shrimp and 2 oysters ($17.99) . I chose cod for my fish. It was nice and crispy on the outside and tender inside. I got fries and onion rings, which were so good. The folks that ordered Mac and cheese loved it. It's not a creamy Mac and cheese, more of a "cheese pull" homemade Mac and cheese. No Velveeta here! We ordered delicious hush puppies to start, and to finish we had banana pudding and chocolate cake slice, made by the owner. We are definitely coming back and I've already texted pictures to friends that travel to SA and they are all excited to try it. Thanks for a great meal!

I ordered the catfish with yams, coleslaw and hush puppies. It was all amazing! I also sampled the Gumbo and oh man, it did not disappoint. The one minor exception was the sweet potato pie.... It was not to my taste. The service was very welcoming, friendly and quick. The music was on point! Ole school southern soul made me dance in my seat and sing-a-long to a few songs. When you're craving catfish, check them out

First time here and it definitely exceeded our expectations!! Everything was so good, fried fish was perfectly golden and crispy on outside and flaky inside, shrimp was plump and cornbread was awesome!! Service was fast and friendly, with good music playing too. We will be back soon for sure!

had to but hate to split it because it so delicious and rich. Can i just say that Bayseas, after 40 some odd years is still pumping out consistent, home town food. Finger lickin and the prefect addition to my mardi gras celebration! keep up the great work Bayseas.

Loved the hush puppies and the catfish po boy! The flavor and crust on the fish was excellent! The service was order at the counter and my order came out within 10 minutes for togo. It was fresh and the Mac n cheese and fries were super tasty. I thought everything was great but I wasn't sure if we got mayo or we got tartar. The tartar sauce was different than the usual so we ended up throwing some bbq sauce and it was a yummy lunch.

This place is a little gem it isn't fancy - you get great food, hot and fresh! I love a nice catfish fillet - the batter was light and crispy, fish was well seasoned and not over cooked. Loved the hush puppies corn meal, celery and onion - crispy and hot! I paired my dinner with wonderful malt vinegar, creamy tarter, cocktail sauce and fresh lemons.

Was wanting some fried catfish and thought we'd try this place out. We ordered the fried catfish, fried shrimp, onions rings and Mac and cheese. The batter was the right consistency. If you want your fried food a little spicy just ask for some Cajun spices and you can add it to your meal. Or you can always add some tobacco to your ketchup. Enjoy!

But every time we go, I remember exactly why we keep coming back. The seafood is consistently great, the seasoning is on point, and those buckets disappear embarrassingly fast when they hit the table. I swear I have to remind myself to slow down because I practically inhale the food every time. One of my favorite parts of the experience is the margarita flight. It's a fun addition, lets you try different flavors, and pairs surprisingly well with all the seafood and spice. The service has always been solid, the atmosphere is lively, and the food never disappoints. It's definitely a splurge, but it's one of those places where I leave happy every single time. If you're craving a seafood boil in San Antonio, Smashin Crab is tough to beat. 10 out of 10.

Not enough to dip the food in and left the potatoes extremely dry. The trinity sauce level 2 lacked flavor and any sort of heat. The crab was hard to break as the shells just kept bending and wouldn't crack. For the price, I have had better.

He was attentive but very minimal. I got the oysters david for my appetizer, which was very mid. Basically, oysters and cheese baked with no extra flavor. For entree, I ordered the surf and turf because I needed some red meat. Meat came out very rare when I asked for medium rare. The tart lemon wine cream sauce was okay, but not the best. The mashed potatoes, however, was the best out of the meal. Warning about this restaurant: they charge you an additional 8% food tax on top of regular taxes. This is a huge red flag!

It reminded me of a previous space that now houses a restaurant. It was fairly busy on a Thursday night, reservations were suggested. Our service started with the grilled oysters, spinach, bacon, cheese and seasoning. They were good but not great. The blackened grilled trout with dirty rice was one of the entrees. It was flavorful and a very good dish. The grilled red fish with crab meat, grilled shrimp, tomato, garlic, serrano peppers, and creamy buttery sauce over dirty rice was our other entree. It was tasty, not over-salty, and quite tender. The dirty rice was good but not great. The food at Bourbon Street Seafood Kitchen was good but not memorable. I was not sorry we tried them but also don't feel drawn to return. The decor and setup of the restaurant felt like a temporary pop up with no individuality as to who they are. There was nothing unique about the entire evening. I would hope you would give Bourbon Street Seafood Kitchen and chance and make up your own mind.

The outdoor patio seating was nice, and they even had a sand pit with toys for the kids, which was a great touch. The service was attentive and quick. I was a little confused about the drink setup since I didn't realize some drinks were self serve, but our waitress ended up bringing them out for us anyway. For an appetizer, we tried the Macaroni Brisket Balls, and they were phenomenal. I'm usually pretty picky when it comes to dishes like this, but these left a great impression. They were packed with flavor, super cheesy, and served hot. Definitely something I'd order again. For my entrée, I had the fried shrimp, which was delicious as well. Whatever batter they use has a great texture and a perfectly crunchy finish. To end the evening, we tried the bourbon bread pudding and the apple pie. Both were delicious, but the apple pie was my favorite and finished the meal perfectly. The bourbon bread pudding was good too, it has a strong bourbon flavor, so if you're not a fan, you may want to skip that one. Overall, it was a nice time, super relaxing, and I'll definitely be back. Thank you!

We had a bad experience in the past but the restaurant had turned itself around with new management. Since then, we started to come all the time again, especially during Crawfish season. I frequently buy 1-2 pounds of crawfish and my husband 1 pound of shrimp so we are VERY familiar with the portions expected. Two visits ago, I ordered 2 pounds of crawfish but the portion appeared closer to 1.5 pounds but my server said that ai was the only table that ordered 2 pounds so it was correct. I let that slide. I decided that in the future, I would order 1 pound and order another pound later to ensure that I can see the exact portions. Yesterday, I stopped by after a long run. I ordered 1 pound of crawfish and my husband ordered 1 pound of shrimp ($21.99 for 1 pound and $13.99 for 1/2 pound). When our order came, the portions were half of what was expected. I approached the front manager. He took to the back and weighed it, we receive 1/2 pound each but was charged 1 full pound. To fix it, they remade the order and to our surprise, added the wrong weight portion at no extra charge. Because of that, I did not post of what felt like the kitchen cheating the customer. Today, we returned. I had a free Chicken Tender coupon so after running 12 miles felt it was a good time to use the coupon, enjoy a margarita and my favorite, crawfish. Thinking yesterday was a fluke, we expected the correct portion size. Well, stupid me. Again, the crawfish came out with the portion size smaller than expected. I just asked if my waitress could weigh it. Nothing more, nothing less. The kitchen manager came out and spoke down to me that I do this all the time. And he was NOT going to weigh it. First of all, yesterday was my first time demanding our crawfish and shrimp to be weighed and we were indeed cheated. The way I was spoken to was definitely not appreciated. Being someone who order a a pound of crawfish from different establishments, I know what a pound should look like. Did they weigh the potato and corn as part of the crawfish (or shrimp)? If so this is a new practice and false advertisement. Should we be charged $10,99 a pound with the crawfish or $21.99 pound with the shrimp. We think NOT! The only reason why we come to Willie's is because of the great margarita deals. So, if you are okay with the kitchen at this establishment cheating you on your meal, feel free to come here. We will no longer be coming to this Willie's. It is NOT the only Willie's in town. F we get the same treatment at other Willie's then it is a Corporate issue and we will eat elsewhere. Stay tune for my update. Yes, I really would love to hear from a higher level Manager. And, please teach them some etiquette. Don't be RUDE to customers.

The indoor lighting had a slight blue tint to provide more of a layback experience. The coconut shrimp appetizer was a good choice and very tasty.
