Buyer beware. I purchased a gown from this store based on measurements taken by their staff, trusting their expertise since they only carry one sample and order the dress to your size. When the dress arrived, the measurements of the actual garment did NOT match what was taken in-store and are clearly incorrect (I verified and documented this). Instead of acknowledging the error, they chose to hide behind their return policy and refused to take responsibility for what is clearly a measurement/order mistake on their end. This is not an issue of preference or fit -- it is a failure to provide the product as measured and promised. I am now forced to dispute the charge with my credit card company. This has been an extremely disappointing and unprofessional experience, and I would not want others to go through the same situation. read more

Very beautiful prom store, but unfortunately I had a horrible experience here. I came into the store and tried a dress on but wanted it in a different color. I purchased the dress being promised that it'd be ready in time for my event, mind you the first thing that they ask you is WHEN your event is. They are then supposed to then only present to you what can be ready in time. Dress was purchased March 28th, only to call on 16th & be told that the dress would not be complete, leaving me less than a week to find something for my senior prom. Store has a great selection online but stock is ridiculously limited and you are only left with around 5 racks of dresses to chose from. Has the potential but just isn't there yet. read more

This store has a good number of selections in various price ranges, but the size variations are very limited, meaning you will see a dress and it will be in one size. Having an seamstress on site was very helpful because I didn't have to make any additional stops after my purchase. Parking is a huge issue. There is no where to park which was a challenge. They mentioned they were moving so maybe the next store will have more dress options by size and parking. read more

I had to give at least one star in order to leave a review. Unfortunately, I came across their page and decided to send my niece there who is a senior in High school. The store was very nice and they had nice dresses to select from. We picked a dress, paid for half and was told the dress would be ordered and in at the store in three weeks. That was not the case. It has been a month.; I decided to go into the store and speak with one of the associates, I was then told the dress was ordered but the tracking number was not available because a manager is only able to view tracking (which seems like a lie) I got a little upset and the next thing you know, the associate got in my face(unprofessional). After calling them Wednesday, they told me the dress was not shipped and would not be at their location in time. I was told that I would receive a refund but have not received as yet. I would give no stars if I could. I had high expectations for this place after hearing good things, so I brought my friend here in hopes of finding her next gown. We found the dress and were ready to purchase. We told them that the event was in 2 weeks so we would need it ASAP (for alterations and to practice in). They assured us that they will check and make sure its in stock before proceeding. Apparently there was one more in her size left, so we continued on to purchasing the gown and left satisfied. A week later, she calls the store to see if her dress has arrived and they said that it should be coming in the next few days because it takes about 5 business days. This is a week before the pageant so time is becoming a crunch. The next day and the two days after that she calls again only to hear that the designer hasn't even SHIPPED the dress out yet. Now there's only 4 days til the pageant and she still does not have the gown. The manager said she will call the designer and see whats going on and give her a tracking number. The day after that she calls again and is given the tracking number. Apparently the dress that they said was in stock was actually NOT in stock. The tracking number said it will be delivered by that Thursday and once it was delivered she calls again only to hear that THEY GAVE HER THE WRONG TRACKING NUMBER AND IT WAS STILL NOT SHIPPED YET. Then they give her the right tracking number and now her dress will not come until the day before the event. They also tell her that they will offer to do alterations (she thought it would be on them since they were causing so much trouble). BUT once she picked up the dress, got fitted and was about to walk out, one of the employees told her to wait so she can give her her alterations invoice. So instead of giving free alterations like she thought they said, they were charging $400 JUST FOR ALTERATIONS. Keep in mind this dress is VERY simple mermaid dress with absolutely no beading or anything. It should be very easy to alter. She refused to pay $400 for alterations and so the owner decided to take off $125, which still is WAY overpriced, especially after all the trouble they had put her through. In the end, despite their no exchange policy she was able to get a full refund and just decided to wear something else. I am highly disappointed with Fit for a Queen and would never tell others or consider purchasing from here again. read more

I walked into the store roughly 3+ weeks before a major, history making, black tie Gala & Brunch held over a 2 day weekend (Oct. 5 & 6) in ATL to see if FFAQ could help me with either finding a gown or making one & a brunch outfit. After asking several times if it was really possible to make not only the 1 but both in that time frame the designer assured me she could. We only had one fitting scheduled & I was to pick up both finished pieces 6 days later & 2 days before the event! On day of fitting the designer calls in sick & I was offered 2 rescheduled dates that didn't work since I had to travel so I offered 2. I said I was available the next day at 9am for 1 & 1/2 hours before I had to catch a work related flight or Sunday morning when I returned because I had another flight at 6ish am the next morning Monday & wouldn't return until Wed. Oct 2! It was agreed to by the store manager, designer & myself that me & the designer would meet at my house (since the designer offered to meet me at a place of my convenience for the inconvenience)& all was a go! Next morning by 9:38 I am emailing & calling FFAQ to find out what's going on! The owner was only made aware of the entire situation because of the email sent through their calendar reminder! The store manager arranged a 3 way for all of us minus the owner & the designer tells me her eta is 9:59! In total she arrived 1hour & 5 minutes late & had an unacceptable incomplete mock up for the brunch outfit but when I said just show me the gown: She froze up & said nothing at first! She had NO gown, no mock up & never sent any photos! Never offered a way to rectify the situation either!! This goes on & becomes a situation where this designer said she'd drop off the dress, I could try it on & she'd fix it & also that she'd send photos to FFAQ to send me while I was away!! She never did either & stopped contacting the owner & store manager completely!!! I found this out on my return to them on Sunday! The owner said they would fix it! She had a plan to order a dress for an emergency backup & she found another designer who said she'd help! This designer happened to be in LA where I was going the next day & in the midst of all that I already had to do, we met, measured & she bought fabrics in 1 day & we both happened to be on the return flight to Atlanta & had a fitting for the gown on Wed the brunch outfit on Thursday & I was to have them on Friday!!! All was going well until Friday's appt was delayed which wasn't a problem but just before final fit & delivery I was informed that it wasn't ready & at that point the owner & the designer could no longer tell WHEN or IF the gown would be finished! We set a pickup time for 8am & ended a 3 way call. Later I called the owner & asked if I could be notified in the morning after the designer arrived because I couldn't take it if I arrived & had to wait & that's when I learned that no representative of FFAQ that I'd been dealing with would be there to see the dress other than me & the designer because they had another event!!! The owner suggested notifying me once the store alarm was tripped as that would mean the designer was there & I agreed! Next morning I don't hear from anyone by 8:15! I called both the designer & store owner twice & finally sent one last text to the group text started by the owner asking 'Is my gown ready for pickup'! After a few minutes of receiving no answer I broke down!! A few minutes later the designer calls, says it's finished & beautiful & heard me crying & asked what was wrong! I said I just wanna come get my stuff! She (Laura) was comforting but I still had to wait for her to go to the salon. When I arrived she was still sewing on the appliqués! I didn't want to try on anything as I was now in the 2hour last minute timeframe I had left to fix ANYTHING before time for my team to start doing hair & makeup for the event! THIS WAS THE DAY OF THE EVENT! I took the clothes, cried on the shoulders of the designer, thanked her for her work under pressure & for at least SHOWING UP period & showing up with SOMETHING, but I was no longer objective & asked my guest if they thought it was presentable enough to make through the event or if I needed to scrap it & come up with a plan B! We discovered it required fixes & alterations so I had 2 tailors/designers on call & one was able to come, pin & mark fixes, take it away, reconstruct the entire top & get it back to me by 3;30ish! 11/2 hours before the Gala! FFAQ sent an invoice for the balance but when I didn't respond right away they charged my credit card without consent or signature! Which I was lead to believe was a requirement for final payment! This was the worst experience I've ever had & it may not be over legally!! If I'd seen/read previous reviews I may have saved myself from misery that I hope I save ANYONE ELSE from! So I purchased a $600 dress from Fit for a Queen of Atlanta. I went to pick the dress up but needed alterations. So Nina (the Asian girl who was supposed to take the alterations) said I could make an appointment to come get my alterations done. I showed up on time for my appointment at 4:30pm but Nina was doing someone else's alterations during that time. I understand that appointments may run over sometimes but she didn't even acknowledge the fact that I was waiting for over 45 min for my 4:30 appointment. The first 15 min that went by was okay. But as 30 minutes went by, I started to get agitated because she kept walking past not even acknowledging that I had been waiting. She went to the register and started taking her time with the same lady's alterations. At this time, me and my sister decided to take our alterations else were. As we were walking out, Nina STILL did not acknowledge us or speak. One of the ladies then shouted my name and called us back to the boutique. The lady up front asked why we left, keep in mind Nina was still standing there STILL not saying anything, and my sister told her that it's been over 45 minutes and no alterations or acknowledgement has been made. The lady apologized and suggested we try an alteration place next door but my sister declined. Nina, still there, NEVER said a word. Customer service is everything but she had poor customer service. If she would have just communicated with us that she was running late on time then we would have understood. The rest of the ladies were nice though. read more

They had my daughter dress for about two weeks & when we was giving a date to pick up, the dress was like we left it. I'm so heartbroken because I had to pay someone else to do my daughter dress. So the store itself I give two stars, it is generally quite small. There is no where to park outside the store so you probably have to park in the back near kroger which is annoying. The dresses in there are over priced for no reason. There is nothing different about the dresses they are selling from any other prom store , yet they feel the need to jack up their prices. The girl who stands at the front, Nessa, decided to get a attitude with my mother when my mother told her we were not going to buy a filthy dress. Then proceeded to tell us that there's nothing wrong with the dress and that they can clean it but wouldn't be giving a discount because there would be nothing wrong with the dress, or we take the filthy dress and get it cleaned ourselves but get only 70 bucks off of a almost 700 dollar dress. The owner evidently doesn't know how rude this employee is but maybe now they will. Basically this store is way over priced for no reason and it isn't worth it. The only reason I don't give one star is because of the dresses. They have a few nice ones, but majority is stuff you can find elsewhere and I suggest you do. read more

My four adult daughters, our two older grandchildren (ages 8 and 9), and I came to Atlanta to find gowns for my husband's and my 40th wedding anniversary celebration in January 2019. Because that's the "ruby" anniversary, we needed all the gowns to be in red. We had an appointment but were delayed due to air traffic and descended upon this store nearly at closing time on a rainy Friday night. We were greeted by Ranessa who was the most professional, fun, knowledgeable young woman ever! Our ages are 64, 45, 37 and 30, one of us is expecting (not me) and our body styles are all across the board. It's not an easy task to come up with red dresses for this diverse group, but Ranessa did. She brought out gowns we'd never have considered, cajoled us into trying them on, and was dead-on right almost every time. Ranessa is an absolute jewel. This shop is small but lovely, a true boutique, with a wide variety of gowns and accessories. It's located in a charming, trendy location (there's a wine shop two doors down which we also visited), and we were able to park on the street close by. We heartily recommend Fit For A Queen, and especially Ranessa. read more
