I liked the exercises she does, it's different than the other places I've been to. When I went, she had us use a step, so we were doing step aerobics type of exercises which I haven't done in about 10 years, but we had a full body workout by the end of the session. The studio can probably accommodate about 10 - 12 clients per class. I like that she is constantly keeping an eye on all of us to correct our form while we are exercising. In addition to the power workouts, she also does nutrition and offers Pilates, yoga, and Zumba classes so you can take care of yourself mind, body, and spirit!

He has this uncanny ability to gauge exactly how much I can lift just by watching me do a single set--which I'm guessing comes from years of experience, but it's still impressive to see in action. Here's the thing about Kacy that might throw you off at first: he often looks distracted, like he's not paying attention. But don't let that fool you! He's tracking everything--your form, your reps, your timing--and he'll call you out if you're slacking on your sets. It's actually kind of amazing how dialed in he is even when it doesn't look like it. If you're looking for a knowledgeable trainer who will push you and keep you accountable (even when you think he's not watching), Kacy's your guy. Highly recommend!

My dad had diabetes, and his A1C levels were too high. Phillip created a tailored meal plan for him and worked with him on a fitness plan that's helped him reverse his diabetes. Seeing my dad's health improve so dramatically has been incredible, and it's all thanks to Phillip's expertise and dedication. Johann brings an unbeatable energy to every class - it feels like a party, but you still get an intense, effective workout! Having now experienced FIT Brea, I'm definitely kicking myself for not trying this gym out sooner. I've only done their group fitness classes so far, which range from 8-12ish people in size, and I'm looking forward to trying out the personal training sessions when my schedule opens up! Here are a few ways that make FIT Brea a standout: COACHING: The coaches here are the whole package! 1. They all have stellar credentials, with many of them holding advance degrees and multiple certifications. In short, they know their stuff. 2. At the risk of sounding facetious, I just want to make the point that the FIT Brea coaches actually coach. It might sound like a no-brainer, but it hasn't always been my experience that coaches do much more beyond demo-ing the moves and saying "good job" or "keep going" every few minutes, especially in a group class setting. Here, the coaches constantly move throughout the room to offer individualized pointers on form, differentiated movements depending on individual strength and mobility, alternative movements for injuries, and encouragement and motivation to keep pushing so I can get better and better. 3. They are all super patient, encouraging, and welcoming! PROGRAMMING: The programming for the group classes are thoughtfully and methodically designed. From what I can tell so far, the workouts are structured in mesocycles with a progressive overload pattern. This is important because if we do the same thing over and over, our bodies will adapt and we will not make appreciable gains over time. With progressive overload, our bodies are constantly challenged so that we can keep increasing strength and improving hypertrophy. COMMUNITY: The FIT Brea community is so nice and helpful. I felt welcomed by the coaches and the other patrons from day one. Several people who recognized that I was new introduced themselves and helped me find and set up various equipment. Others even put my plates and dumbbells back during transitions. Just last week, the whole class broke out into spontaneous applause and cheer when I pushed out that last rep of bench press, haha! The mutually encouraging environment really underpins the whole vibe and experience here. It's a special thing. MANAGEMENT: One of the things that I didn't realize would make a difference in my overall gym experience is having direct access to management/owner. In my past gym experiences, the questions/concerns I had would typically have to go up a chain of command before I got a response. Since FIT Brea is owner-operated, the patrons can directly talk to Andrew, the owner, who is so nice and provides exceptional customer service. SPACE/EQUIPMEMENT: It's spacious, well-maintained, clean, and an overall pleasant environment to train in. CLASS OFFERINGS: I'm a busy mom who works full-time hours plus daily commute. I'm thankful that classes are offered as early as 5am and as late as 6:30pm so that I can get my training time in! If you are looking for a gym where you can optimize and maximize your fitness goals (whatever they are), look no further because FIT Brea is it! I'm a serial Yelp sleuther and almost never write reviews, but my experience thus far has so far exceeded my expectations that I felt compelled to share this gem of a place with others!

I noticed more overall strength, feeling better mentally, and last but not least, locking in on a clean diet thanks to Phil's guidance and support. Aspire is a private gym, so I enjoyed not having to deal with the rush one would expect at a bigger commercial gym. I took labs before starting at Aspire and after. The results were lower LDL, triglycerides, and BMI amongst others. The changes made in terms of nutrition and exercise at Aspire paid off! I highly recommend coming here if you want to improve your health, strength, and well-being.

At the time, I was going to the gym, following random workouts on social media, and eating to my hearts content. I had very little knowledge regarding training, body composition, and nutrition. After a few months of working with JP, I started to not only gain momentum with my training but also began to see drastic changes to my body. I was so convinced and confident of my progress that I decided to take it to the next level, and compete in NPC as a figure competitor. In April of 2017, I competed in my first NPC show and placed 1st in women's figure. JP's guidance helped me overcome some of my deepest insecurities. In addition to all the things a personal trainer is expected to teach you, weight training, cardio regimen, and nutrition. JP also indirectly helped me with my confidence, mental clarity, advanced methods to training and nutrition, how my body responds to different types of foods, and the list goes on. These photos speak for themselves. The success and results I achieved with the guidance of JP are beyond exceptional. Although these achievements are great, what I cherish the most is the knowledge I gained from working with JP. I asked myself, "Self, is that what I want to be?" I decided to find a personal trainer, and I found JP. JP is very different than many other trainers that I talked to who try to say many good things about training and attempt to get you in. The first thing I was told is "It is going to be tough, and it is all about you. Are you sure you want to do this?" I knew I was at the right place the moment I heard this because JP does not sugarcoat the challenges that I will face to get my business but serious about training me and helping me to reach my goal. The journey is challenging but fun. JP is dedicated and knowledgeable. He always tries to push you to a limit while paying great attention to the form and your reaction to make sure you do not get hurt. Trough out the time that I train with him, my body does fill sore but not pain. He also designs the session to train different muscle groups in a different way and different date so the muscles have enough time to recover. Besides training knowledge, he is also a very positive person who always shows his passion for helping others to be better. To me, JP is more than just a trainer but friend. I am glad that I met him and will keep up my journey with him.
