Horrible staff. Cancelled my membership verbally but got charged still. Had to pay nearly $50 because I trusted an employee.

Way too crowded. Membership staff tricked me into a 12 month contract plus annual fee. Not enough plates or dumbells.

Is there a sauna? tanning bed? and group fitness classes such as full body fitness hiit classes?

The men's changing area does have a sauna, I'm sure the women's area does as well and as far as group fitness classes, they are promoting it, but I haven't seen it yet. I will say this, they have an all inclusive gym just for women. I will also say…

I have yet to find one that is both really new and also really popular and has no issues. However one thing I have noticed is that a lot of them have really friendly service, and the people working here are so nice it was ridiculous. They kept coming up and asking if we needed anything because we had been in a hurricane. And if they could get us some snacks, drinks, and so on... and they were just so nice and empathetic and sympathetic and friendly and they did not need any kind of security check to let us in their facility - we got in straight away. As for their facilities it was a bit of a mixed bag. The cardio stuff is generally good but they don't seem to have any of the kinds of bikes that I need, so I would never be able to use this gym regularly. The machines were okay, but some of them are really old and rusty and made weird creaking noises which makes them really difficult to use. The leg machines are absolutely awesome. They are just like the ones in our favorite gym. But even newer. However the free weights were a real problem. All of the Dallas gyms seem to have the iron grip kind which are hard to hold and a little rough on your hands, and these particular ones seem like they had been bought in the 1950s at the latest. So it wasn't much of a good experience especially considering the benches felt like they were made of wood and were extremely uncomfortable. As for the mats, they would have been okay except they felt they were they were from the 1920s, so they were very dirty and old and worn down and were not the kind of mats that you would want to lay on unless you're really dirty like me. I'm so dirty. The showers are pretty good but the pegs are away across the room from where they need to be, so I don't know how anybody would use them while showering. Parking is okay and is right in front of the door with a little bit of a walk. Overall it's a really nicef acility with some issues and the service and employees go way above and beyond what we have experienced in most YMCA locations. 10 stars for the employees. 3 for the facilities. Averages to 4. Now I'm Grand Prairie Dogging so I have to gtfo.

First let me say I genuinely do not like to complain or leave negative feedback…read more I am much more enjoy telling people when they do good and leaving positive feedback. With this being said I need to leave some concerning feedback about my first experience with this location. At approximately 5:30 Am I was taking a shower and a couple minutes after I move from the shower stall to the changing stall I heard what I assumed was a employee rolling a cleaning cart in the shower area, 3-4 minutes later when I exited the changing stall took 2 steps and he was so close to my stall I nearly bumped into the employee and the cart he rolled in to what I assumed to do some cleaning when I noticed he was actively using his cell phone. He was on his cell phone less than 4 feet from the changing stall I just exited. I walked past him and proceeded to grab my things from my locker and started to change but when I looked over he was still on his cell phone. I then confronted him and asked what he was doing on his cell phone in a shower stall. He said he was texting his coworker. I told him it was really weird for him to be on his cell phone in the shower area and he just said oh, I'm texting my coworker. About 2 minutes later he rolled his cart outside without doing any cleaning or any work whatsoever. ? What??? I don't understand. Why was he even in the shower area if he wasn't going to do any work? I see lots of policies in regards to members and their cell phone use. I would assume that these policies apply to employees? It doesn't seem unreasonable to not allow employees to actively use their cell phones in the locker room, bathroom or shower area. To be honest there should be no reason they use their cell phones whatsoever anywhere in the gym. This was a very very uncomfortable situation. Again, I really hate spending my time complaining, but I strongly feel this situation needs to be addressed. I looked everywhere on Planet Fitness website to try to send a message directly to management, but was unable to find any "contact us" tab so I'm leaving this review in hope this matter will get urgent attention. I'm not looking for any compensation or any empty apologies. I feel like any member of Planet Fitness would agree employees should not be on their phones in the bathroom, locker room, or shower area ever for any purpose. I look forward to your reply to this unfortunate matter. Thanks.

I've tested it on several visits and added a pic of it here. It's unusable. This isn't a deal breaker for me as I have unlimited on my Verizon plan and stream videos using my cell signal on the treadmill. Just FYI if you were counting on using the wi-fi. 2) Free weights can be a mess. People don't put them back, or take several pairs at once (who does that? Greedy!). Also, the free weights are right by the Women's Only room, and I have seen women come out of there, take dumbbells and never return. Kind of sucks. I can't go in there to get them. Do they not have free weights in there? Either get more for in there, or put up signs to not take weights in there. I will say I did once see an employee take weights out of the women only room and put them back so that was nice. 3) Free weights and benches are a mad house at 5-6:00 pm. I usually go mid afternoon which is great. I once couldn't make it and went later- wow. Lotta bros. Still - it's a huge place so really you will always have space to workout. Couple tweaks would make it killer. But overall it's a great gym!!!!

Extremely Disappointing Experience…read more This was only my second time visiting CLUB4 Fitness Grand Prairie, and unfortunately, it will probably be my last. I'm getting back into working out, and a friend of mine who is already a member recommended that I come with him because he thought this was a good gym. After my experience, I definitely don't feel the same way. While people were actively working out, staff were coming around the equipment with dusters and blowers, literally blowing dust around while members were trying to exercise. It was distracting and uncomfortable, and I couldn't understand why that type of cleaning needed to happen directly around people who were actively using the equipment instead of during a less busy time. What bothered me even more was how watched and scrutinized we felt while working out. My friend and I have worked out together before, so naturally we encourage each other, help each other stay motivated, and occasionally show each other how to do an exercise. Apparently, that was enough for staff to approach us and question whether my friend was "training" me. There is a difference between someone conducting paid personal-training sessions and two friends simply working out together. I came there as a guest trying to get back into my fitness routine, not to feel like every interaction between my friend and me was being monitored. For a gym that should be creating an environment where people feel comfortable working on themselves, this experience did the complete opposite. My friend spoke highly of CLUB4 and recommended it to me, but after two visits, I would not recommend this Grand Prairie location based on how I was treated. I hope management takes this feedback seriously because people should be able to work out with a friend, encourage one another, and use the equipment without feeling uncomfortable or unnecessarily watched.
