What I love about Artillery Outlaws and his programming is that things are constantly refreshed and different and we aren't doing the same things all the time. Sometimes we focus on a certain movement or upper body etc. You walk in and you may not know what's the workout of the day but that's not something you need to worry about which is awesome! You go in, kick some ass and come back for more the next day! You go in and almost feel like dying but you're never alone and always have someone cheering you on! I remember the first week I went here and I was terrified everyday because of the intensity in everyone's faces but these wonderful girls I met there, Emma and Bailey told me to just keep coming! This is NOT a "dude bro" gym where some meat head screams and belittles you until you puke. 2. EVERYONE is welcome. I haven't worked out in at least a year and my boyfriend is in great shape and truly pushes himself harder than anyone I know. We take classes together and are both challenged and sweat our a$$es off. Don't let lack of fitness or strength be an excuse not to try this place. 3. Coach Rock is super nice, knows what he's talking about and has been incredibly responsive and helpful in getting us set up with our free week trial + membership. He's passionate about what he does and has a super positive/motivational attitude + somehow makes you feel comfortable going outside of your comfort zone. 4. Price is reasonable + tons of class times which means smaller class size. 5. I hate mornings but I actually look forward to waking up and going (Throwing Hands class). This is the type of gym where the new beginner getting to the gym just for health and longevity can train and be taken care of by experienced coaches, while the competitive athlete is able to train at the same time! I've always been an active person but I quickly get bored with other workouts. Spin? Tried it…read more Crossfit? Tried it. Regular weight room by myself? Tried it multiple times.... There's just something about Kaia that keeps you coming back. I've been coming for almost a year and I truly love it. The workouts are most like a HIIT (high intensity interval training) class. They're designed to work multiple muscle groups for short intervals without taking too many breaks. They're also modified to fit your personal fitness level. Have a shoulder/back/knee injury? No problem. There's always a modification or an alternate movement you can do instead. Worried about looking out of shape, or going by yourself, or any other excuse you use for a regular gym? Don't. These ladies are seriously a family. Not only do they push me to work harder, but they inspire me when I see the work they're putting in and the results they're getting. I started by going to the 5am class but switched to the 6am when I realized I couldn't consistently get up that early. The 6am class accepted me with open arms and the 5am ladies still reach out to me to see how things are going. I even crash the 5pm class sometimes and I feel welcome each time. And all of this is just speaking of the OTHER MEMBERS, not even the coaches. The coaches might just be the best part of the whole thing. These women truly care about you. They will push you on every exercise to do the very best that YOU can do. They will support you both physically and mentally. And they'll play some kicka$$ music while doing it. They will become your friends on Facebook and recognize you when you've accomplished something great. Whether it be you survived that day's workout, or you were able to do an unassisted pull-up, or maybe you just showed up (which sometimes is VERY hard to do at 6am). I could go on but I won't. You should just come try it out and see for yourself!
