There are free weights and equipment ALL OVER the floor! Nothing seems like it's placed in its rightful spot. I quickly learned that members here don't rerack weights or put equipment back after they are finished using. The place is already fairly small so the fact that there is equipment scattered all over the floor makes getting a good workout almost impossible. Speaking of equipment, it's very limited. I can only speak for the women's locker room but it wasn't clean. Also you can only sign up for a year contract which gives scam to me so I'd just avoid this place altogether if I was you. You can find someplace better.

We have paid faithfully month after month for a decade. We recently even added a brand-new membership for our 13-year-old son because we believed in this gym and planned to continue here as a family. Tonight was supposed to be a meaningful family moment. My older son, who is ACTIVE DUTY U.S. ARMY, is visiting and wanted to work out with us. These moments are rare when your child serves our country. We were excited to train together as a family. All I asked for was a simple one-day courtesy pass. Not a free month. Not special treatment. Just one workout. The front desk didn't even try to help. They did not offer to check with a manager. They did not try to find a solution. They did not show any empathy. They simply said, "That will be $20," and that was it. After 10+ years of loyalty, a brand-new youth membership, and an active-duty soldier standing in front of them, they showed zero flexibility and zero humanity. This wasn't about money. It was about respect. The lack of appreciation for long-term members and military families is shocking. My children watched this happen -- including my son who serves this country -- and it was embarrassing and heartbreaking. A company this large should understand loyalty, family, and service. Unfortunately, LA Fitness Kearny showed none of those values tonight. We left feeling disrespected and seriously reconsidering continuing our memberships. Very disappointing.

Cons The gym wasn't full but there were a lot of people at 9:30am on a Tuesday morning so I assume it gets packed during peak hours There were some guys loitering near my car in the parking lot which makes me wonder how safe the area is in the evening I didn't interact with any of the staff members so I can't comment on that.

Planet Fitness commits FRAUD…read more... I live in California & have a membership with planet fitness. While checking my bank statement, planet fitness charged my account twice in April & May for a different amount. I called the California facility in regard to this matter & found out that a planet fitness in New Jersey use my account for someone I don't even know. I called the New Jersey planet fitness & 1st I was told no manager was on the premises, then I would receive a call back from the regional manager. It has been 7 days with no call back or results for this matter. I also made another call to the facility yesterday & the same female told me that " no manager was on site" again. Then all of a sudden another woman gets on the phone & stated she was the manager but could not assist me. She would not provide me the regional manager email or phone number. Then she hung up in my face. I feel like it's a inside job & they know it. Why keep brushing me off? Someone needs to refund me my money no matter what. DO NOT trust these people with your information.

The weights that were once my challenging weight is now my starting weight. My arms and legs have become much more toned and defined, which is what all women want when wearing a cute top or dress . Walm is definitely a True Motivator who pushes you beyond your self limits because he sees the strength and greatness with all of his clients. He also recently upgraded his gym with tons of new equipment, so there's never expect a basic cookie cutter workout. Each session is a variety of body weight and weight training so you won't ever get bored. The gym also offers a variety of different classes targeted towards any specific goal you have in mind such as circuit training, boxing, and group classes! He can also help with creating a meal plan for any of your goals and will hold you accountable too lol. Plus his post workout smoothies are always a treat after a great workout. Great staff, and awesome location make this an amazing deal compared to the other over priced gyms in the area. Emmy at the front desk is fire on the customer service tip! The patrons are mixed and the great staff is the best in town. This includes dedicated owner Craig, mangers Erin, Mayrin and Caesar, and Franklin, Vika, Emily, Carly, Igor and Ebai, to name a few.
