I purchased a Life Fitness elliptical machine here, and they gave me a very reasonable price, and did a great job of delivering it to my home (with professional installation into my basement). The one negative critique I will make is regarding their "warehouse". They're running a business where you have to go visit their facility to check out and choose a piece of equipment, but the building is located behind a house, in a very remote location, with absolutely no signage outside at all. I'm not sure why they wouldn't put up a sign for their business, so that potential customers can locate them more easily (it took me a couple of tries to figure out the right place)....but once you get past that part, the rest of the process is very smooth, with great communication from both Shane and Vicki. i would highly recommend anyone interested in purchasing gym-quality fitness equipment go check out this business first.

Decided to get an economical (ie Amazon) elliptical trainer. The instructions for assembling the…read moreelliptical trainer were written in fonts that needed strong magnification to read and interpret. We reached a major snag when we were putting the trainer together -- there was a small connecting wire that went through the vertical housing to attach to another wire, so that readings on the unit would transmit from the pedals to the LED screen. Ken made great efforts to help get the wire fixed, so that we could put the unit together. Between the two of us, he knew how to splice two separate millimeter wires together, reattach it to the plastic plug, and send us on our way. Although I insisted on paying something for his excellent repair skills, he refused any compensation for more than an hour that we spent on the unit. It was a flat bench with an upper and lower pulley ~~ pretty simple. These units are sold with a "lifetime warranty," which is a main reason to buy one. About four years ago I had a pulley cable break. I tried calling and e-mailing Tuff Stuff, which is headquartered in Chino, CA. No answer either way. Fitness Gallery was sympathetic but it was a "manufacturer's issue." I bit the bullet and had Fitness Gallery repair it. This cost me around $150. Last month the cable started fraying again. FG sent out another repair guy to replace the cable. This time it was $318. So I'm into this for around $500 ~~ just for cable repairs. Keep this cost in mind when you are looking at buying any Tuff Stuff equipment from Fitness Gallery. The "lifetime warranty" isn't lifetime, and the Tuff Stuff isn't tuff. Buyer beware. * The max load I put on these cables is 180 lbs for back rows.
