Five Daughters is based out of Nashville and has several retail locations across the region, including this one in Westside Provisions (newly opened) and the one in Ponce City Market in Atlanta. Having heard about their famous 100 Layer Doughnut and drooling at the thought of it, I had to try it. Once there, I quickly found it in the breezeway next to Room & Board. The lady working there wasn't friendly at all and hardly said anything throughout my transaction. No "hello", "how are you", "what can I get you?", just impersonal. Being a lover of all things bacon, I went for their King Kong doughnut, which had a partial cream filling, maple glaze, and several pieces of bacon on top. When I bit into it, it was just as flaky and flavorful as I had imagined it would be. The sweetness of the doughnut and the saltiness of the bacon went together perfectly to produce a complex yet delicious taste. The doughnut did come with a nearly $5 price tag, but is bigger than your average and is worth a try, if nothing else, for the experience. The next time I come back though (my family has already requested that I bring them some), I just hope that the service is a little more friendly. read more

I love the donuts here! They are very unique. I ordered the maple doughnut which has a very sweet icing on top filled with vanilla cream. The vanilla cream has no taste in particular, not sweet. This donut can be paired with a great latte with no sugar. I also ordered the dipped cone donut which had vanilla cream on top dipped in chocolate, no filling. The taste was bland since the vanilla cream has no flavor. But it does have sugar around it which helps. read more

Got the lemon strawberry and hot chocolate flavors. The lemon strawberry didn't have much lemon flavor and was far too sweet because of the jam, icing, and granulated sugar on the outside. Cute little donut shop in an inconvenient spot! Parking can be scarce and it is located on the upper level of a shopping plaza. This is food-truck style, so there's no restaurant or place to sit, save for a couple chairs nearby. Better to grab these to go! Vegan, gluten-free and paleo options. We stuck to the original donuts. These average $4.50 each, but they are double the size of a standard donut! The texture was amazing and the flavor was great. We bought a lot and they were still fresh two days later. This is a small "grab and go" style shop in the breezeway at Westside Provisions. It could be easily missed if you didn't know where to go, but it's a great little doughnut shop. The selection is made offsite so it's an "until sold out" situation so be sure to get there early for best selection. I had a maple covered doughnut. It was a cronut style with cinnamon sugar on the outside and a vanilla cream inside. The maple flavor was very light. The employee on site was extremely friendly and helpful with suggestions. i have only ever been to five daughters when they had it in seaside, but i'm so glad to know there is one down the street for me! located in one of the alleyways of westside provisions and easy to park and get your destination. i always enjoy the different flavors and the seasonal ones. the peppermint bark was fun and and the boston creme pie was creamy and delicious. i usually love to get the chocolate sea salt, but tried something different. a little expensive but totally understandable for the quality and variety of donuts you're getting and worth it in my opinion! it's my favorite place to take visitors because it's easy and delicious and super cute. read more

Stopped by here on my yearly visit back home to ATL since I live in NYC now and it was probably one of the best donuts I've ever had. We usually settle for Sublime since it's also close by but these cronuts make sublime look like a joke (still love sublime though, don't worry).
