Simple burger place quickly made to order burgers and savory double-fried French fries in peanut oil. Lots of toppings to choose from - only the bacon and the cheese increase the cost of your burger. They have the Coca-Cola Freestyle where you can flavor your soda however you want it. The mobile app makes it easy to order ahead and come in to eat or take-out; just be aware they won't make the fries until you are there so you will have to wait for those, but they'll be fresh. We've been coming to this place since they first opened in Albuquerque years ago. Other Five Guys locations have since opened up, but most take a lot longer to make your food and are often behind, so we prefer this location. Only downside is the price. For what you get it costs more than their competition. It's still worth it if that's what you are craving though.

My memory of Five Guys was not good: Too loud, too crowded, too expensive for over cooked burgers. So glad that we went again!!! Partner and I ordered double burgers with mustard, mayo and chopped onion. They were over-the-top good!!! I wish that the bountiful fries were a bit crispier. That said, they were tasty. One order is more than enough for two people. Absolutely planning to go again. Fast and friendly service. Delicious burgers!

Great classic burger and fries all over the world. A little high priced but worth it. What else can I say.

Burgers in NM with no option for green chile? I've even been in a McDonald's that offered green chile. We walked out.

Then they constantly bring the order to the cars behind the cars in front so you have to wait and wait for the cars in front of you to be served so you can leave. These folks are always my first choice but if there is any line at all I just pull around and go to McDonalds where I know I won't grow a full beard waiting to get my order.

The room is kept clean by a laser-focused staff who display the effectiveness of Indy pit crews. The owner is on-site and working shoulder-to-shoulder wherever needed. . The drive-through lanes show exactly why this corporation's business model is studied in universities. Lord, but it's chaos even during the tail end of lunch rush. Not because of anything anyone is doing wrong, simply because it's so popular. There are people EVERYWHERE. Parking is hard to get, and you have to approach from odd angles because the drive-through is so popular that it affects local traffic. And, sadly, not all the customers share the same idea of the civility that is the hallmark of this chain: my chair was rocked by two sets of rotten kids (whose mothers were with them) in the booth behind me (cleaned in a flash after the first bunch left by the amazing Chick-fil-A staff). Oy. It's hard not to give the place four stars because everything was so well done - my kudos to the owner, management and staff - but this late-lunch visit only rates an "okay" because the super-popular place was such a madhouse. Frankly, it convinced me to never return anywhere near a mealtime.

Now, where I live every time there is news about a new fast-casual chain burger joint opening in town there are are always people saying that they wish it were such and such instead - and Whataburger is often that such and such. Since I didn't have any other plans for dinner I decided to walk over and check it out. On the cashier's recommendation I decided to try the hatch chile burger (yeah, it's Albuquerque after all!) with onion rings and a prickly pear-raspberry drink. I felt like the burger was a pretty standard fast food burger - while large, I don't particularly judge my food by volume. It is nice that they have southwestern flavors, but per the menu it doesn't seem like they are available on smaller burgers. I was happy that the onion rings were battered & fried, rather than those weird breaded rings that seem to be extruded minced onion. They also have a spicy ketchup that isn't really all that spicy but is a nice change from regular ketchup. I was glad to see that they had more than just soda available for drinks. However, I did feel like it was a tad expensive for what it is - I probably won't seek them out even if they do eventually open a franchise near home.

We were cheerfully greeted by the Hostess at the counter who presented us with menus and stated she would be happy to take our order when we were ready also stating, "I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have. We ordered a basket of Fried Pickle Slices with a seasoned dip for an appetizer. I ordered a Gucci Sandwich with Fresh Fruit as my Side. My guest ordered a Reuben Sandwich with Macaroni Salad as his Side. We ordered two Self Serve Beverages, for which we were given two drink glasses. The Hostess then gave us a total due and I presented her with a credit card to pay. She promptly processed the card, asked me to sign the receipt and presented us with a receipt and table stand with our order number atop. We selected a table, seated ourselves and unloaded our table stand, flatware and napkins. I stayed seated at the table while my guest took our Drink glasses to the beverage center and filled the glasses with our beverages. I selected a Craft Root Beer, while my guest selected Iced Tea with lemon wedges. The Fried Pickle Slices were lighted battered in a delightful seasoned batter before they were fried. They were perfectly cooked and not at all greasy. The dipping sauce was lightly seasoned with the same seasonings as the Pickle slices and blended in a combination of plain yogurt and sour cream. It was a great appetizer. My Gucci Sandwich was sliced turkey breast, crispy fried bacon, green leaf lettuce, sliced tomato and mayonnaise. The sandwich was served on a freshly baked Kaiser Bun that was soft and a perfect complement to the exquisite sandwich. The Fresh Fruit consisted of Orange Wedges, Red Grapes, Strawberry, Sliced Pineapple and Sliced Honeydew Melon. The Reuben Sandwich was generously created with lean corned beef, sauerkraut, melted Swiss cheese, homemade Thousand Island dressing all served on freshly baked marble rye bread. It was served with a side serving of Macaroni Salad. The Ice Tea was freshly brewed and delicious, with a selection of citrus wedges from which to choose. The Craft Root Beer was a refreshing surprise. It was a premium version on tap that featured a rich creamy flavor and creamy foam. It was very reminiscent of the Root Beer that we made at home in the 50's and 60's. The overall experience was epic and I highly recommend this local treasure! Chances are you may run into me when you visit as I plan to introduce many of my "Foodie friends" to this delightful discovery. We are very blessed in North East Albuquerque!
