For those traveling and seeking a breakfast sandwich, this particular Five Guys has added that item to the menu ... and it's really good! I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich. The bacon was piled high (unlike other places) and the egg was cooked fresh (not reheated). The only negative was that it was served on a bun (versus something else like a bagel). But given the other great qualities I mentioned previously, I could easily look past the bun. This will be my GO TO breakfast sandwich next time I am in DCA in the morning. read more

Regan National Airport location. Hamna seemed attentive when I was ordering a meal for my flight but I was very disappointed when I was able to eat. This is the new location inside of the DCA airport - I'm not sure how long it has been there but the "coming soon" signs were still up. It looked fully staffed and like the team was ready for anything. Lucky for me, there was no line to order when I arrived, just a few people already waiting for their orders. I went there for breakfast and ordered the bacon egg and cheese sandwich and an order of French fries. Food was made to order and it was very tasty, they use the burger's bread for the sandwiches so it's a pretty great egg sandwich with melted cheese! The staff is friendly and the wait is minimum. Had my teenager with me today. He wanted Five Guys burgers. Can't win them all. First off the prices here are too high. I can cook the same burgers on my grill. They have a breakfast menu, where they make various versions of sandwiches. I tried an egg & cheese with jalapeño and fried onions and it was excellent! Really good! They make everything fresh to order, so it took a few minutes for my sandwich. When traveling, the hubs and I particularly like their breakfast sandwiches, as they still use their regular soft hamburger buns, but fill it with a nice abundance of American cheese, tons of bacon (can request extra!), and a nice fried egg. This was one of those solid moments of desperation when you decide to go drinking at the bar with your loved one till 4am and you're supposed to leave for the airport at 5am and are massively hungover and possibly still drunk but your layover is in Washington DC for god knows why because Detroit is an hour and 20 minutes away. But life is hard and then it was made that much harder by Dunkin having absolutely no food in its kiosk or any other milk than whole milk for the matter and has no idea what you're talking about when you mention the $2 iced coffee special and that you want to get your points. Insert, hey Five Guys, I think I've only ate here once maybe ten plus years ago, let's go! But my little eye sees that you sell breakfast sandwiches! Glory be to god. So this breakfast sandwich is sad. But it was exactly what I needed. A super soggy bun, an unexpected runny fried egg (thought it would be scrambled/color me surprised) and barely melted American cheese with just a hint of ketchup. The one kudos to them is that they did give me a heaping amount of extra fries when I ordered a small. They probably saw this look of pain in my face. Environment :Came here a bit early for my American Airline flight to LAX and had a craving for a good ol' burger. Line was long but the wait was not that bad. Its right off the corner of the gates and can be hard to miss since its not central. The pictures do it justice to where its a small little spot with a simple menu. The prices are ridiculously expensive but rightfully so since it is located inside an airport. The employee, Jasmine A. was as sweet as can be! She was helpful in explaining the menu and what they were known for. She made the overall experience pleasant. Food: Burger was great! Gave the feeling of it being homemade with plenty of lettuce, onions, light mayo and ketchup and a decent a little beacon to top. However, the Cajun Fries that it I ordered were soggy as can be. Not a single one had a crisp to their bite and I was about to board so there was no reason for me to even go back and ask for another batch. There are a lot of food choices at the airport. This location was busy, the crew was working like a well oiled machine and they have the best prices on the concourse. All the Five Guy options are available. Although there is no dining room, there is a 'public seating' area at counters just outside this location. This includes at a bar so you can grab a burger from here and a beer from there. Or take out a soda and dine in the gate waiting area. I opted for a veg sandwich on this visit. It was tasty if a bit messy to eat. There are forks, napkins, salt, etc available in the order pick up area. Okay, this location wasn't as generous as the one in DC we hit up, but still, there was still plenty to go around! I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and was concerned it would end up on a burger bun. Nope, not at Five Guys. They use sandwich bread here and I'm loving that! (Correction: I have since discovered that they do use a hamburger bun, but they flip the buns the other way and grill it, which fooled me indeed!) And we gotta talk about the toppings. Any place you go, mushrooms cost extra. Not at Five Guys. Grilled mushrooms are FREE! So my simple grilled cheese sandwich was loaded with mushrooms, lettuce, and tomato! This is a real sandwich! And I have to love that Five Guys at the Washington Reagan National Airport does not raise its prices just because it's at an airport. We haven't eaten at Five Guys for a few years for various reasons most of which are obvious but when you're in an airport and traveling you take what you can get. * The multi-ethnic staff is about as friendly and efficient as anyplace that I've ever seen. * Unlike 99% of Five Guys this place serves something other than the core menu as they offer a small breakfast menu. * The burgers are still entirely too greasy. * The fries are still entirely too salty. * Unlike a lot of Five Guys there is no free style Coke unit here. * While grilled cheese is on the menu it is grossly overpriced (over $4) for what you get and it takes way too long to render. Overall this Five Guys will fit the bill because it's somewhat fast and familiar but even with those two positive attributes it by no means makes the stuff here great or even good.
