We only ever stop here because it's right next door to the car rental company we use every now and then. It's pretty much an average McDonald's in terms of food, service, quality, and cleanliness. The parking is pretty small and it sees a lot of people since it's the closest location to the Reagan National Airport in Crystal City. Parking is pretty small so when you're entering through US-1, it could get backed up due to the drive thru immediately on the left. You may need to drive around the building if the line of the drive thru gets backed up. This location is a 2 story building and it looks updated with its interior decoration. You can order 4 different ways: through the counter, the self-ordering kiosk, mobile app, and the drive thru. The day we decided eat inside, the stairs to the second level was blocked (not sure why or for what reason). It was also not busy for a weekday afternoon, so we were able to sit at a large booth. There were even counter height seating available. Food is as expected, just average, but at least it was hot and came out fairly quickly. Service was good and decent. read more

If you're to make an order here, I highly recommend ordering on their mobile app and either getting it delievered if you're okay with delivery fees or parking outside McDonald's and picking up at counter. There's always a never-ending line. You're also only able to park for 20-30min and there's a sign that also says to limit your time to 30min while eating inside. They clearly want you to be in and out as fast as possible (but I'm here wishing the quality of their food was like In-N-Out haha). The only "ambiance" to note about this location is that they play music whereas other locations do not. Food Highlights from AMOE Monopoly McD: Shout out to the worker that gave me a perfect cone on Halloween. Ranch snack wrap is better than the spicy snack wrap. Staying at the hotel next door. I stopped in 3 times, twice for coffee only and this morning for breakfast. Each time was a quick and pleasant experience. My coffees were prepared as I wanted them and the breakfast was fresh and tasty. The Staff were friendly and efficient. I sat and had my breakfast. The staff is over worked and absolutely stressed with the amount of customers coming in! The parking lot is completely packed and all the open spots are closed off by cones, and angry customers are driving through the drive thru area creating double the traffic. Management really needs to figure something out because the environment is tense for not just the works but the customers as well! The food was cold, and it seemed like the kitchen was moving at a good pace, but due to the amount of complaints people are waiting in line before their number is called. I do not say this lightly. I am nearly sixty years old, and have been to McDonalds in 49 of the 50 states (no Hawaii), and in most countries in western and central Europe and Scandanavia (all but Spain and Portugal). This is, without exaggeration, the WORST McDonald's I've ever been in. It's so bad that I stopped intentionally coming here years, even decades ago, and I only eat here when the terrible McDonald's App sends my order to this restaurant -- which I am intentionally driving past -- rather than the much better one at 1000 Henry Street. I cannot remember the last time I received food that was piping hot here. The cheese is always sad and unmelted, the meat lukewarm. It is no exaggeration that it's better to be hungry; when the McDonald's app sends orders here, I routinely either just abandon it or after scoping out the unappetizing cold mess put it to the side and eat some nuts instead. As for service: If you go through drive-through, there is a 0% chance there's a napkin in the bag. And if you try to request one, the drive-through clerk's back is already turned so he can talk to his friends rather than attend to your needs. Please, listen to me--this place survives solely because of sad busloads of tourists who pass through, to their regret; locals know to shun this hellhole. This McDonald's was close to our dinner spot and we all wanted dessert. This location has two floors, and the interior was clean for the most part. I think most of us got a McFlurry (a couple got shamrock -- one person asked for less shamrock syrup but we could not tell the difference between his and a normal one). The Oreo McFlurry here was pretty solid and I had no complaints. We also got an order of large fries to share for the table but the fries felt "under-fried" and were pretty bland. Meh. This was the first restaurant that I saw after arriving at the airport. I had actually eaten something this morning before I left and I wasn't that hungry. I really just needed something to hold me over until tonight. The Happy Meal seemed to fit the bill and of the few options that they offer, I chose the 6 piece McNugget happy meal. It included a small fries and small drink, and these apple slices as a small desert. I always chose barbeque sauce for my nuggets, and they were surprisingly hot. The fries weren't that bad either, although there was a fair amount of salt already added. This small meal is really designed with kids in mind, but for me it was just the right amount of food. Everything else on their menu board was expensive and they had more calories than I cared to deal with. I came here with my Husband for breakfast before our workshop and I wasn't happy. I asked for 2 number 10's with cream cheese. I knew I had to pay for cream cheese, but they didn't charge me and didn't add it to my order. I had to pay again with my credit card. They don't listen. I also asked for a number 10 minus the steak for one of the sandwiches and they still put it on there. I don't eat breakfast meat and I only wanted the eggs and onions. But anyway I really like how they have their menus on the outside wall as you drive up. Their menu is updated and have the correct proceed on it too. This location is consistently rude to delivery drivers. I can't count on one hand the number of times I've tried to pick up food here and been either completely ignored (they will look at me and continue on with their business) or they will run through virtually every other customer in the building before they decide to assist. I've seen this when other delivery drivers are ahead of me in line as well. None of us are being pushy. It's just a bit frustrating when a to-go order is visible and ready to go and people refuse to hand it to you. Not an issue at any other location, just this one. Customer service needs to extend to everyone. This location is severely lacking in that. read more

There's almost always enough space to eat there now, and no one has to sit too close to people outside their party. It remains, as the latter part of my last review described, a pretty efficient McDonalds that consistently gets orders right and serves freshly made food. This is a two-story 24-hour delivery-enabled McDonald's. I would be so heavy if this were located where I live--so I'm grateful it's far, far away! Luckily it's close to the airport, so I swung in. It was open around 4:00 am so I just went inside. It is really new and modern looking inside and even has a waterfall/rock fountain outside to enhance its landscape. However, the condiments station needing cleaning while the manager was just chatting away with a customer in Spanish. I don't mind messy if employees are all busy, but don't have a personal convo when there's a mess to clean up yourself or a mess you can delegate one of your staff to clean up. It was fairly slow, but it took an inordinate amount of time to get two hash browns ready. When they were, they were piping hot and extremely fresh---simply delectable. While I ate, I witnessed an arrest. A homeless man was interrogated by like seven cops and eventually handcuffed. Another woman who was either a witness or maybe involved with the handcuffed guy was also being questioned. I felt safe, although another homeless man came by and sat at the table next to me and stared directly at me as I ate. I ignored. The homeless population seems to flock here, but they didn't bother me or talk to me. read more

I've been here a few too many times with T. Mcdonalds is Mcdonalds right? So really the biggest change from rating one to another is the customer service in my opinion. Cause usually the food is pretty consistent. That's what McDonalds has built it's brand on- consistency. In here the service has been not just cold, but pretty straight up rude at times. I asked for some big mac sauce one time and then the lady told me I needed to pay for it very curtly. So I was like... ok, I don't mind! I get it- nothing's free in life. I told her if I was paying, then I'd like 2 sides of big mac sauce. She then tried to enter it on the computer... didn't say anything (I think she couldn't find the button) then went to get a side and told me I was getting one side and handed it to me. Uhhhhh, ok. It was just such a rude interaction that it left a bad taste in my mouth. What did I do to you? I just want your delicious Big Mac Sauce to dip my chicken tenders into which I'm purchasing from you. It also reminded me of a Jim Gaffigan stand up line where Jim is talking about ketchup: " They always give you three packets... and you go and ask for more, the guy handing them out always treats you like you're taking from his personal stash. Oh... looks like my kids aren't having ketchup tonight" The last time we were there we ordered on one of the new large screens and ordered a ton of chicken selects. We had asked for like 6 different sauces cause it gave us options to get three with each order. Guess how many sauces we got... 1. Literally one packet. Terrible service. Placed mobile order through app. Their system only showed my order existed but didn't show what I ordered so they asked me to come inside. After waiting awhile they said there was a problem with my phone. I closed the app. Opened it back up. Continued to show I'd placed the order. Paid for it. And had a confirmation number and confirmation email. The manager said my phone must have a bad internet connection. How would I have received a confirmation number and email if the problem was with my internet connection? I understand there's a tech issue. That's not their fault. But to walk away and blame me for the problem, wasting 40 minutes of my time, was unprofessional and terrible customer service. I was looking for a place to get something to eat within walking distance from the hotel I was staying at after missing my flight connection after 2 PM and this was the only option. The great: at a peak time on the weekend, this McDonald's location was powering through the drive-thru line like nobody's business. Barely waited for our french fries (was trying to quash a recent craving), which came out fresh and just as salty as you'd expect. The good: appreciate that they have their employees spaced out around the drive-thru outdoors, as opposed to cooped up inside, taking orders and payment. Hopefully that's reducing their risk to COVID-19. The actual window where you get your food also has a big plexiglass shield covering at least half of it, though a big slot to hand your food over. The not-so-good: it can be a little tricky to drive into here off the highway, especially into the small one way entrances and exits that some airport employees (i.e. a pickup truck sporting an airline logo) ignored. read more

I've been to this McDonald's a couple of times because it's close by to my home and I'd say its probably one of the worse ones that I've been to. The drive-thru moves extremely slowly and blocks the road for cars trying to get in and out. In addition, the drive-thru speakers don't seem to be working, so workers come out and take your order and money from your car window into the store. Inside, the seating area was rather dirty the few times that I'd been. This McDonald's, unusually enough, actually has 2 floors. The second floor seems to usually be clean enough, since less people go up there. As for the food, quality is all over the place. The filet-o-fish I got was nice and fresh, but the Big Mac I ordered was cold and had like a tiny drop of sauce on it. I will say though that the employees here are quite nice. read more
