I haven't had this since I was a kid, and decided to give it a try again since my colleague is a huge fan. The location is exactly like any other Five Guys location, clean and efficient. The burgers are very customizable, and the prices are fair. I've always appreciated the free peanuts and still do. I recalled the fries being memorable, so I decided to give them another go. You can definitely taste the starchiness of the potatoes. I love that you can adjust the salt level, so I said no salt. They also don't salt their burgers. The food wasn't oily or salty, like the feeling I get with something like Shake Shack's burgers. These burgers are simple when you don't want anything special. They have a homemade feeling to it. Great burgers made fresh when you order. Just know regular burger comes with 2 patties and a junior is single patty. And if you have peanut allergy, stay away. Free peanuts everyone eats and not sure how well tables are cleaned from patron to patron. So if you have contact allergy, steer clear. Also the fries are made in peanut oil. They make a damn good burger. Juicy & delicious. Only knock..cheeseburgers. Cheese isn't melted enough. You can see they add at last second and don't keep on grill long enough to melt it. Still, tastes awesome but I don't want to see fresh corners on my slice of American. I went with bacon cheeseburger. Bacon is crispy, not greasy and plenty of it to go around. I've had five guys once before which was pretty good, but my evening visit to get food to go here was rather disappointing. Mixed up my specific requests for my order, which wasn't the end of the world for what I wanted but felt like the burger patties really just lacked in any flavor whatsoever. Found a random mushroom in my patty. Only had like one bacon in my bacon cheese burger. Many things I could overlook but to have the burger itself just be so lack luster really just tainted this place in my head. It's simply a take on "quality fast-food", and though the fries may be some of the best in the franchise game, the burgers are not. The traditional burger meal is always extremely messy and greasy, and for the expensive price, it doesn't meet the standard. The cajun fries also take away from the original fries, doing too much with something supposed to be simple. However, if you get the grilled cheese and add a patty, it's a must. The shakes are also great, but I wouldn't go too far from the traditional vanilla, chocolate, and cookies&cream; as the other flavors are very inconsistent. As long as the burgers are not over cooked (which was the case this time but I've had many a juicy burger here before), it's a solid burger, second to Shake Shake and tied with Smash Burger. Get the Cajun fries if you like a bit of heat. Seasoned perfectly. Ingredients are always fresh and no extra cost for the toppings. Always good service and this location. For some reason, tonight this location was like an icebox. You couldn't really enjoy your meal and I had a hat! I've been to this location when it was cold outside and it wasn't this cold. What's not to like about made to order never frozen burgers with fresh chopped toppings to add to a toasted bun. And the fries, omg the best fries, regular or spicy of any of chains bar none. For tasty burgers and possibly a coronary, this multi location chain will satisfy. Went to the Bay Shore location outside the Sunrise Mall. I made a mistake ordering: you can get a large (two thick patties) or a small burger (one patty). I ordered the large thinking it was just a "regular size" but got two thick patties. My bad... It was still tasty and in spite of its huge size, I really enjoyed it. The fries are just okay and they give you a lot. Counter service was fine and prices are quite low making it a bargain for what you get. Worth coming back and recommended. read more

I thought these were single burgers so I ordered 3 because my wife eats one and when I am really hungry I can eat 2. I also ordered 2 orders of large fries, and 2 large milk shakes. With the tip it was close to $70.00!!!! I guess you are supposed to order and wait by the back for your order but no one said anything so we just stood there waiting. A lot of people that came in after us were getting served so I went to the back and told them to cancel it, but just then the lady came over with our order. When we got home we found that the burgers were doubles with 2 patties on each, and it was like a bushel bag of fries. If I had known that I would have only ordered 2 burgers and 1 order of fries. In contrast, the shakes were in small cups. After we started eating my wife got a piece of bone in her burger and almost broke her tooth so all of the rest of the burgers went into the garbage. Why the hell can't any of the restaurants keep the bone fragments out of the ground meat?? This happens to us all the time with burgers and sausages. For $70.00 these should have been the best F#*king burgers we ever ate!!! Never again. I generously gave them 2 stars because the fries were good and the dixie cup of vanilla shake was tasty. Just got a regular cheeseburger, fries and a shake here tonight. Though I haven't eaten at a Five Guys for quite a few years, I found nothing to complain about. Everything was excellent, the same as I remember many years ago. The burger was one of the best fast-food burgers you can get (despite a couple of extremely small pieces of gristle). The fries were also very good (though a bit undercooked). And the shake was also great (though a bit too small and too thick, it needs more milk to really be thirst quenching). One minor quibble: they really need to specify that a "Little Hamburger" is not little at all. It's simply the same size as the regular burger but with only one patty instead of two. On the plus side, when you order two small fries you get enough fries to make up three small fries from any other fast-food restaurant. All in all, Five Guys burgers are easily the equal of the burgers you'd get at Long Island's other top fast-food restaurant, Shake Shack, and for a couple of bucks less, too. read more
