    Oxtail stew plate.
    Tonessa C.

I wanted to like this place. One of my favorite Black-owned Southern Cooking restaurants closed in Bayport so I was looking forward to this new one. My man and I went there for lunch. The young man at the cashier seemed unbothered as he watched television and appeared to have no idea what was happening. He knew nothing about the menu. I ordered the stewed oxtails and my man ordered the Cajun Salmon and Shrimp plate. We waited an hour to be served. How can you wait an hour for stewed oxtails which should have been cooked in the morning? The place was empty and the only person waiting other than ourselves was a man who only ordered fries. We complained to the lady who doing the cooking. She was very apologetic. She told me she was the only one cooking and was taking care of her call-in orders. Only three or four customers came in to pick up food while we were there. Finally, totally frustrated because our lunch hour was almost up, I went to the counter and asked where our food was. The lady said, "I know you were waiting a long time. The cook/owner is here. He just came in. Don't worry the food will be good." I was so angry that I asked to speak with him. The owner offered no apology and didn't even speak with us. He only glared from the kitchen without giving us eye contact. The "untrained" young man at the counter acted like he didn't know anything and was defensive. We angrily took the food and left as our lunch hour was over. Now, on to the food: The Cajun plate, which was salmon, shrimp potatoes, and some sausage was beyond terrible. The fried salmon was dry. The shrimp were not fresh and salty, and the sausage was dry and hard. The oxtails were unseasoned and had a funny taste, the cabbage was greasy and inedible, and the rice was like Uncle Ben's 5-minute rice and lacked flavor. There was more flavor in the burnt plantains. This was a total disappointment. I am from a restaurant family and have made everything mentioned above myself. I was in total shock that they were in business. Hopefully, this was an off day -- a very off day. I may try them again in the future, if they are still in business, to see if they got their act together but for now, I will stay away.

Nasty food! Fried pigeon wings and some potato slices, served ice cold. A cup of Morton Salt with some water and a few bits of celery added to it and they call it soup. You have been warned!

Love the wings the owner is cool. He makes it just like I like it. Wednesday is $1 wings but you have to get 10 or more. Each day has a special. The ambiance is quite low key how I like it

After a brief chat with the owner, William, who happened to be there during our Friday evening visit, we discovered this gem In Bayshore has only been opened for six weeks. We found him via social media and wanted to pay a visit, not only because we love burgers, but to support a black owned business on Long Island. The business sits on Main Street in Bayshore. If you've frequented this part of bayshore, you know it's a very busy area, replete with various restaurants, coffeehouses, medical offices and clothing shops. If you do visit, once done eating one of the hearty meals, you can walk it off near one of the parks that abutt water. I had the cheeseburger combo with wings and fries. Very filling. The food came out quickly. While tasty, we both agreed we needed more salt added. Initially, we were the only two in the restaurant. We thought it would be crowded on a Friday warm night. William said he's awaiting his beer and wine license. Until then, enjoy the tea and lemonade on tap. The one bathroom was clean and unisex. No music when we there, but a large tv was broadcasting sports news. Parking can be tough on Main Street, but there are lots not too far in walking distance. Walking Main Street after the meal, we didn't notice any other restaurants like WM BURGER SHACK AND WINGS. Please visit.

I am giving a 5 because of the food. These are one of the best wings I tasted in a long time. There is only one other restaurant on main st that comes close. I got the garlic honey and all I can say is yum yum. I also got the lobster roll. It was different. It reminded me of lobster in a good potato salad. Not the potato salad from the grocery store. My only suggestion would be to add a little more lobster. The service was good. We went in a Friday night and they were very kind, explained the menu which is large and extremely kind. After we ordered we stayed to eat and they bought the food to us rather quickly. The ambiance and the menu reminds me of the Caribbean islands small food spots. They also played Caribbean music. I will definitely be going back to try different things on the menu.

Burger was hard and tastes like fish. . Fries were about a 4/10 also. A burger shack should certainly have edible burgers. They did not.

Great burgers, fries, quick service, reasonably priced. Parking is a pain but that's just BayShore.

As someone who has traveled to all 50 states, I couldn't resist checking out Roadtrip Bayshore. The…read moreconcept is fantastic: the menu changes regularly to highlight a different state, and during my visit it was Georgia week. The food was outstanding from start to finish. The Vidalia onion soup was honestly the best onion soup I've ever had, and I'm a huge onion soup fan. The crab cake bites were among the best crab cakes I've had anywhere, which is saying a lot because I've spent years searching for great crab cakes. I also loved the maple bacon mac and cheese, which struck a perfect balance between sweet and savory. My daughter enjoyed the Georgia wings and sweet potato fries with a marshmallow dipping sauce. Everything was packed with flavor. The cocktails were equally impressive. I had the Georgia-themed Old Fashioned, while my daughter tried the Guy Fieri-inspired Georgia margarita. Both were creative, well-balanced, and memorable. As a mobility disabled person, accessibility is always important to me, and Roadtrip did very well. There is plenty of parking behind the restaurant with an accessible route to the entrance. Inside, the aisles are wide, the seating is flexible with movable chairs, and the restroom is fully accessible. The only thing keeping it from a perfect accessibility score is the lack of automatic doors. Food: 11/10 Cocktails: 10/10 Accessibility: 9/10 Roadtrip Bayshore earns my highest recommendation. Great food, great drinks, a fun and unique concept, and accessibility done right.

The premise of the…read morerestaurant is that every week they highlight a different U.S. state, creating entrées, appetizers and drinks that showcase the selected state's leading agricultural industries and cuisine the state is known for. The menu and food were excellent, there's truly something for everyone. We opted for the spinach and artichoke dip appetizer, and our entrees were the Brisket Horseradish Stack and the Blue Summit Burger. The service was great - the wait staff, attentive. What unfortunately has left a lasting impression and may be the reason I don't go back is they're okay, and likely encourage (based on their IG) content creators to visit. I understand in this day and age, exposure means everything. Getting a viral video could mean the definition of sink or swim in a competitive industry. What's not okay is having content creators with their bright lights blinding the patrons next to them. Having a bright camera light shone in our faces several times through our dinner soured the experience. I hope in the future the staff, and the owner (who was there), are more conscious of the dining experience for others.

The servers are all well versed in the menu items, including the oyster selection, which is always a plus for me. Each time I've visited I ordered a few different oysters and have never been disappointed. You really cannot go wrong with what you order. The fritto misto appetizer is outstanding, perfect for 2-4 people. Also had to try the oysters Rockefeller which are always delicious. My first visit (NYE '26) they had octopus on their specials menu. I PRAY they bring it back because it was memorable, even 6 months later. My first visit I tried the barramundi which, at the time was a special menu item. It seems they added it to the Mains but with a different preparation. This time I tried the salmon which was excellent. If seafood's not your jam, they have plenty of menu items to choose from. In addition to the food, they also have great cocktails and a stellar looking happy hour menu I can't wait to try. I recommend making reservations, especially if you're visiting on a Friday or Saturday night. Both times I went here the restaurant was packed, particularly the bar area. My only real critique is that the restaurant gets a bit loud, making it a tad difficult to hear but it's also a sign that the place is doing consistently well.

However, the seating in my opinion is on a tight spaced sidewalk where people and cars pass you by. It was crowded and our waiter was fine. The food took way too long to come out. It was like they forgot our order. It was happy hour for clams so that could have played a part. However, others had received their food before us. When the food finally came, the oysters were sad. Such small oysters for a place that's on the coast and bases it menu off the ocean. Our tuna tartar tacos were great. Best I've ever had. The flavor is towards the bottom of the taco so take a big bite to get all that flavor. IMO this is a nice place. I would not make it a go to spot for their oysters. But I would return.

Robin entered the building it's Memorial Day and there was just a three top there so when we walked in, Joe was attending to the people at his top but when he saw us, he expertly expedite himself from them to come and greet us and welcome us to your establishment top shelf automatically we sat down. We were waiting for another couple to join us. We had a nice conversation with him and he gave us drinks at the bar explained we're waiting for another couple to come. He said no problem when they get there we'll take it through table and that's what he did. The other couple of rides we sent the table. Wonderful service came up spoke to us very very attentive went over the menu with us gave the specials was absolutely incredible. Then I realize that he was all alone in the bar, not only was attending to us. He was only also attending to the other top plus, he was the bartender and the waiter and whoever was working in the back though your kitchen also wonderful then the place lit up there was a table of four came in another table of two and another top of two. This kid didn't even flinch. Continue to take care of every one of us very attentive and then the doors open up he had about 25 people altogether came in and came up to the bar. This kid did not flinch. He took care of them still attentive to us taking care of that baby at the bar, he put a high chair from this kid, amazingly took care of the whole bar and the dining room by himself. I am saying this to you because I am I am was previously a borrower in many many years I own two bus I have never seen one guy take care of a place of drinks, bar table tops food, greetings hospitality. You have a gem with this guy Joe I offered to help him as much as I could cause I saw that you know it was just overwhelming. He said I will take care of everything as his quote to me. I got you I said if you need me, I'm right here because I've seen it before this kid took care of a full bar too deep I might say also six tables of average three to table and just made your place run amazing so my advice is this when you find the guy like Joe you hold onto this kid like Grimm death and don't let go employees like a guy like Joe a few and far between you would do your company and yourself a service to make sure that you hold onto him and make him happy and keep him with you because there was never I've never seen a better ambassador for any place that I've gone to then watching this kid work today again I'm a bar owner. I've been a restaurant business. I'm a chef and I have never seen one kid run a place like that kudos to him. Kudos to you for hiring them and kudos to you if you hold onto it again unbelievable great experience. I will recommend your place. I will recommend to my friends as I had that my friends called to stay today. I will continue to do so as long as you continue to have people like Joe work for you. Great job all around. You got a little hidden gem there and they should make sure people know about it thank you very much. The tacos were only $1 off the regular price, and they were the smallest tacos I've ever seen. Even with the discount, they still felt overpriced for the portion size. We ordered three carne asada tacos, one chicken taco, one al pastor taco, and the cotija fries. The food was just okay, nothing that stood out or made me want to come back. The service was also just okay. Our waitress wasn't very personable. I ordered the Island Rum Punch, and it was terrible. When I mentioned that it didn't taste right, she explained they were out of one of the liquors that normally goes into the drink. She never offered to replace it or let me choose something else. Instead, I ended up asking for more simple syrup just to make it somewhat drinkable. The entire experience felt mediocre and lackluster. Between the disappointing food, underwhelming service, and poorly handled drink issue, it just wasn't money well spent. Unfortunately, I don't see myself returning to this establishment.
