    Oxtail stew plate.
    Tonessa C.

I wanted to like this place. One of my favorite Black-owned Southern Cooking restaurants closed in Bayport so I was looking forward to this new one. My man and I went there for lunch. The young man at the cashier seemed unbothered as he watched television and appeared to have no idea what was happening. He knew nothing about the menu. I ordered the stewed oxtails and my man ordered the Cajun Salmon and Shrimp plate. We waited an hour to be served. How can you wait an hour for stewed oxtails which should have been cooked in the morning? The place was empty and the only person waiting other than ourselves was a man who only ordered fries. We complained to the lady who doing the cooking. She was very apologetic. She told me she was the only one cooking and was taking care of her call-in orders. Only three or four customers came in to pick up food while we were there. Finally, totally frustrated because our lunch hour was almost up, I went to the counter and asked where our food was. The lady said, "I know you were waiting a long time. The cook/owner is here. He just came in. Don't worry the food will be good." I was so angry that I asked to speak with him. The owner offered no apology and didn't even speak with us. He only glared from the kitchen without giving us eye contact. The "untrained" young man at the counter acted like he didn't know anything and was defensive. We angrily took the food and left as our lunch hour was over. Now, on to the food: The Cajun plate, which was salmon, shrimp potatoes, and some sausage was beyond terrible. The fried salmon was dry. The shrimp were not fresh and salty, and the sausage was dry and hard. The oxtails were unseasoned and had a funny taste, the cabbage was greasy and inedible, and the rice was like Uncle Ben's 5-minute rice and lacked flavor. There was more flavor in the burnt plantains. This was a total disappointment. I am from a restaurant family and have made everything mentioned above myself. I was in total shock that they were in business. Hopefully, this was an off day -- a very off day. I may try them again in the future, if they are still in business, to see if they got their act together but for now, I will stay away.

Nasty food! Fried pigeon wings and some potato slices, served ice cold. A cup of Morton Salt with some water and a few bits of celery added to it and they call it soup. You have been warned!

Love the wings the owner is cool. He makes it just like I like it. Wednesday is $1 wings but you have to get 10 or more. Each day has a special. The ambiance is quite low key how I like it

After a brief chat with the owner, William, who happened to be there during our Friday evening visit, we discovered this gem In Bayshore has only been opened for six weeks. We found him via social media and wanted to pay a visit, not only because we love burgers, but to support a black owned business on Long Island. The business sits on Main Street in Bayshore. If you've frequented this part of bayshore, you know it's a very busy area, replete with various restaurants, coffeehouses, medical offices and clothing shops. If you do visit, once done eating one of the hearty meals, you can walk it off near one of the parks that abutt water. I had the cheeseburger combo with wings and fries. Very filling. The food came out quickly. While tasty, we both agreed we needed more salt added. Initially, we were the only two in the restaurant. We thought it would be crowded on a Friday warm night. William said he's awaiting his beer and wine license. Until then, enjoy the tea and lemonade on tap. The one bathroom was clean and unisex. No music when we there, but a large tv was broadcasting sports news. Parking can be tough on Main Street, but there are lots not too far in walking distance. Walking Main Street after the meal, we didn't notice any other restaurants like WM BURGER SHACK AND WINGS. Please visit.

I am giving a 5 because of the food. These are one of the best wings I tasted in a long time. There is only one other restaurant on main st that comes close. I got the garlic honey and all I can say is yum yum. I also got the lobster roll. It was different. It reminded me of lobster in a good potato salad. Not the potato salad from the grocery store. My only suggestion would be to add a little more lobster. The service was good. We went in a Friday night and they were very kind, explained the menu which is large and extremely kind. After we ordered we stayed to eat and they bought the food to us rather quickly. The ambiance and the menu reminds me of the Caribbean islands small food spots. They also played Caribbean music. I will definitely be going back to try different things on the menu.

Burger was hard and tastes like fish. . Fries were about a 4/10 also. A burger shack should certainly have edible burgers. They did not.

Great burgers, fries, quick service, reasonably priced. Parking is a pain but that's just BayShore.

These were good, crisp, hot, and the general tsos sauce it's coated in is bright, sweet, and tangy. Onto the main event. The french onion burger which includes a double stack smash patty blend of brisket, chuck, and shortrib, topped with caramelized onions, provolone, garlic aioli on brioche with a side of au jus. I tempered my expectations but this burger just blew me away. The beef blend itself is incredible and makes for a juicy and ultra beefy bite. The garlic aioli wasn't overpowering and the caramelized onions added that nice bit of sweetness. Dipping it in the au jus just took it to another level. I was truly in bliss eating this. The fries crazy enough were strikingly close to the ones offered at the golden arches, which I'm fond of. My only knock is that they were a bit well done so while they were very crispy, they were also a bit hollow inside. Our waitress was lovely on this night, shoutout Taylor R. She took the time to offer food suggestions for my friend and he ended up loving it. She also did the REALLY cool thing where she noticed my drink was empty and brought me a refill before I needed to ask. Will be returning for this burger.

The wings were tasty, but they were small in size. The steak was just okay. The flavor was good, but the portion was pretty small. Our favorite thing was definitely the frozen Miami Vice, half piña colada and half daiquiri. It reminded us of the frozen drinks you get in Miami by the beach. Service was great. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, checked on us frequently and showed our pup some love, which we appreciated. We enjoyed our experience and the dog friendly outdoor seating was a plus. The food was more along the lines of typical bar food, so I would say this is a good spot for drinks, wings and a casual bite rather than a destination for the food itself.

I went to their Bayshore location about a 25 minute drive from where I am... Ambience was really nice for a sports bar and they were pretty crowded but their TVs are of super high-quality. I felt like I was in the game.! Our waitress was nice, but she didn't really seem to know the Food of the place that well which is fine. Place was packed and loud but what do you expect from a sports bar on a game day? Down to the food::: Normally I can do about six meaty wings by myself, but we tried to order the smallest portion of bone in (12) and split the sauce, but I understand that that can be a lot for the kitchen! I got 12 of the garlic Parmesan and he got 12 of the buffalo; wings are delicious and these were... I prefer a meatier wing myself but my husband likes wings on the smaller side; sauces were delicious so it was a happy medium! I ordered a burger as well and I knew I had to slow down on the wings if I even want to have remote room for the burger! Eating an every day type of butgerand this one did the job but it wasn't anything amazing and nothing to write home about! I would eat here again, but I wouldn't necessarily say I'm feigning to go back! If this place was local to my house, you could bet the ranch that I would be there more often. I was not disappointed, but I also didn't get that. Wow, factor that I was expecting.... I wanna miss food at a place that I haven't eaten at. I want that one bite that keeps me wanting more and this was a good meal, but didn't quite hit the mark as far as food experience service. Would recommend but I don't think it's worth it for the travel of 40 minutes

The…read moreconcept is fantastic: the menu changes regularly to highlight a different state, and during my visit it was Georgia week. The food was outstanding from start to finish. The Vidalia onion soup was honestly the best onion soup I've ever had, and I'm a huge onion soup fan. The crab cake bites were among the best crab cakes I've had anywhere, which is saying a lot because I've spent years searching for great crab cakes. I also loved the maple bacon mac and cheese, which struck a perfect balance between sweet and savory. My daughter enjoyed the Georgia wings and sweet potato fries with a marshmallow dipping sauce. Everything was packed with flavor. The cocktails were equally impressive. I had the Georgia-themed Old Fashioned, while my daughter tried the Guy Fieri-inspired Georgia margarita. Both were creative, well-balanced, and memorable. As a mobility disabled person, accessibility is always important to me, and Roadtrip did very well. There is plenty of parking behind the restaurant with an accessible route to the entrance. Inside, the aisles are wide, the seating is flexible with movable chairs, and the restroom is fully accessible. The only thing keeping it from a perfect accessibility score is the lack of automatic doors. Food: 11/10 Cocktails: 10/10 Accessibility: 9/10 Roadtrip Bayshore earns my highest recommendation. Great food, great drinks, a fun and unique concept, and accessibility done right.

The premise of the…read morerestaurant is that every week they highlight a different U.S. state, creating entrées, appetizers and drinks that showcase the selected state's leading agricultural industries and cuisine the state is known for. The menu and food were excellent, there's truly something for everyone. We opted for the spinach and artichoke dip appetizer, and our entrees were the Brisket Horseradish Stack and the Blue Summit Burger. The service was great - the wait staff, attentive. What unfortunately has left a lasting impression and may be the reason I don't go back is they're okay, and likely encourage (based on their IG) content creators to visit. I understand in this day and age, exposure means everything. Getting a viral video could mean the definition of sink or swim in a competitive industry. What's not okay is having content creators with their bright lights blinding the patrons next to them. Having a bright camera light shone in our faces several times through our dinner soured the experience. I hope in the future the staff, and the owner (who was there), are more conscious of the dining experience for others.
