This might just become my favorite location! Great customer service and my order was correct.

I had stopped here since I was out in Westfield. I wanted a chicken sandwich and salad from here. The order taker took a minute even though it was only one car in front of me. I would've thought it would be quicker but I think they may have been having some difficulties going on. I opted to do the drive thru since it was cold outside and I didn't really want to get out of my car. The order menu was lit up well and the pictures were nice. This place is a little on the expensive side but it is good. I was satisfied with my food.

Food is good and service is fast. Patio is a beautiful place to eat. Prices are a little expensive, and I didn't like that.

Great fast food spot. Service was quick if not exactly friendly. Old school diner style inside. Everything was hot and as described.

Service was so fast! We tried Portillos for the first time. We tried the dipped Italian beef loaded with sweet veggies, a loaded hot dog and cheese fries. Sweet pickled veggies, tomatoes and a sesame seed bun with the hot dog was SO GOOD! The dip?! Even better. Great beer in a big glass goblet. Clean lobby and tables. Family friendly. Delicious food. Friendly staff. It was worth the hype.

Another Portillo's? They seem to be everywhere these days and that's fine with me. The 1950's decor is nostalgic in every way to the tables, the records hanging on the wall and the signage. There's plenty to look at between bites of that dipped beef sandwich, with hot peppers. Maybe the chicken sandwich or a salad. How about the chicken tenders? Definitely the cheese fries, and don't bother with a small order of fries. Why is a small fry even an option? The correct option is a large cheese fry. The 50's music makes the experience all that much better as you eat away relaxing and enjoying this well done nostalgic themed Portillo's.

Portillo's is always fun. The facility is large m, clean and beaming with activity. The staff her hustles and is moderately friendly as those focus on hustling you along. On this day the place was packed with ball players. This facility is close to a large ball park. So.. you might hit long lines if you don't time the ball games correct. The lines and wait times were long. This for a little frustrating for our party of four. The food moved right along until it got to the person who assembles the sandwiches. I thought it was odd that no one stepped up to help this per lady who was the bottleneck of the food assembly line. The outside patio was a great choice on this warm day. Lots of space inside and outside. All areas were comfortable and clean. I had the cheese burger on this trip. The meat was very tasty and cooked perfectly. The burger was moist and oozed taste. The lettuce, tomato and pickles were a good complement to a very good sandwich.

I've always been a fan of Portillos. I was happy when one opened up in Westfield. Now that they've been open for a few months, I am surprised that it takes this long to get the order from the drive-through. With it being a new restaurant, I was more than patient with the new location and it's employees. However, over the past few months, the service and speed of the food being delivered has diminished. Disappointing.

The building facade is unassuming in a strip mall off the main drag in Carmel. Inside, the place oozed character. We love dive bars and Fat Dan's is an original. The place is a dive but in the best sense of the word. The interior is worn but everything was clean and inviting. The staff were warm and welcoming. We sat in a booth with tattered seats and a wobbly table and we loved it!! We ordered breadsticks, a Cuban sandwich, wings and fries. Before I describe the food, I have to write about the way they deliver the food. I saw one of the staff bring out this boat of food wrapped in white paper to a table near us and thought that was an order of a specific type that warranted such a delivery. When I asked our waitress about it she smiled and said that was how she was going to bring out our food. It's a little thing but we thought it was unique and just added to the feel of the place. A few minutes later we received our food in a white paper boat and it was awesome. The breadsticks were good; the nacho cheese wasn't the best. The coleslaw was a hit with my wife and son. The Cuban sandwich was really good. The chicken wings were outstanding! The wings are smoked and meaty...and the blue cheese dressing that came with it was delicious. The waitress told us that they make the blue cheese in house and I believe her. The fries were tasty- our waitress was right in saying that a small order would feed a family. We did our best but there was no way we were finishing anything. The portions are large.;) All in all, we had a great meal in a unique place with really friendly staff. Thanks, Fat Dan's!!!

Allow me to back up to our arrival. It was a nice day out, a little warm, but the patio is shaded. We asked if we could sit outside, as there were no other guests seated there at the time and the interior seemed rather dark and drab. Shortly after we were seated, my husband went inside to use the facilities and overheard the hostess telling our server that there was a table outside. She responded with a disappointed sounding "OUTSIDE?!" He returned to the table and told me about this as we reviewed the menu and specials while enjoying the little bucket of popcorn that they provide to each table, free of charge. The server, and her trainee, did take a while to come to our table, but she had a great attitude when they did. There was another server with a trainee shadowing him. They are also hiring, for anyone interested. We chose a peach margarita pitcher for $15. It was advertised on the sidewalk chalkboard like a special, but that is the regular menu price. It was the world's tiniest pitcher, but we still didn't finish it, so I guess it was perfectly-sized for the price. We also ordered potato skins as an appetizer. They were a bit stingy with the cheese, but extremely generous with the green onions. They were cooked well. Crispy skin with a fluffy, pillowy, potato inside. My husband, feeling more snacky than actually hungry, ordered two appetizers as his meal. He had the mini corndogs (very crunchy and delicious) and the onion rings. He said that everything hit the spot. The beer-battered fish came with two HUGE filets. They came to the table hot and crisp, but by the time I got them home, the beer-batter had gotten a bit soggy and grease-soaked. The side salad had huge chunks of iceberg lettuce (barely chopped) and some of the pieces were a bit brown around the edges. Sitting on the patio was nice and although there were several bees in the vicinity, the real flowers in the planter boxes surrounding the patio kept them distracted. After we ordered, several more patrons arrived and requested seating outside as well. There was a country playlist going and at least one of the songs had some pretty colorful language. As I heard the "MF" bomb drop for the second time, I looked around at the families with children sitting nearby. They appeared to be unphased. We noticed a dog bowl with "Roots" on it, so I'm guessing that they are pet-friendly. Eventually, I do want to return and try some of their burgers out.
