My boyfriend and I have been going to five guys for 9 years, spending like $40-80 a month; you can do the math. We decided we won't be going back after tonight due to poor food quality and lack of customer service. I was just at columbus five guys around 5pm 01-10-2024 and ordered 1 little cheese burger, 1 regular cheese burger and 1 little fry . First I'll explain the fry issue then the burger issue. To set the scene: we come in to an EMPTY dining room. 2 couples came in from the time we sat to the time we left. Meaning they were NOT BUSY, in fact they were dead for 5pm! Little fry was $4.35+tax. When we got the bag we were extremely surprised by the LACK of fries. There were like 14 fries in all haha! It was literally JUST the small tiny white container of fries , no extra. We have been going for 9 years and always get more dumped in, like extra fries at the bottom of the bag... so we're like "maybe with inflation they can't do the usual amount?" Which we would have been understanding of - we were totally cool with it at first and mentioned eventually it might happen. We decided to ask for confirmation. I got up from eating and walked to the food grab table where the young teen boy who was manning the fry station stood, and asked "have you changed the amount of fries you give customers for little fries?" He responds: "no" . (No other inquiry back, no "how can I help you".) I say "we are used to getting like a healthy helping in the bag, bottom of bag full of fries". Teen boy responds by just *smirking* and *shrugging his shoulders* at me. No words spoken at all, so I just go back and sit down. The response blowing us off is what really pissed my boyfriend off and I! We are like 15yrs older than this boy and always very careful with not coming off as Karen's. My boyfriend and I believe that as soon as a customer is even remotely sharing unhappiness, go get the shift lead. Don't smirk and shrug at customers! We didn't recognize this boy, but the other workers are usually so friendly and chitchat with us about so much; they even know our order by heart because we literally were going once a week for like a year in 2022 haha.. then we tried to ween to once a month. But the way he just blew me off and wouldn't offer more than ONE word to us was weird & surprising to us and the other 2 employees (whom we didn't recognize either) acted like nothing was amiss and ignored my standing there and my comment about the fries. We continued to eat but it wasn't good because our bread was stale (possibly not enough butter during toasting because it was like hard & dry but still white and flaking off, not golden buttery toasted and not keeping integrity . ), the cheese was not melted - it was cold cheese; not drooping over the sides of the burger, just sticking straight out like a square and cold. This cheese occurrence has happened to us a handful of times in the past year and we were already getting weary that food quality was going downhill...and lastly, the hamburgers were dry, not yummy, not dripping with oil like we love ha!. Reminder: they were dead slow, we ordered food in an EMPTY dining room and then only 2 couples came in staggered in the duration we ate. They were not swamped. They had plenty of time to get the food right, especially for dine-in. If a DM or GM reads this, check your receipts for timestamp proof. We wanted to go up and give them the burgers back and explain about the quality issues, but after that response we just knew there was no reason. My boyfriend commented "place is going downhill". The fry teen kept looking at us while we ate like he knew we were unhappy, so I kept thinking he was going to ask the shift lead to come to our table, to save the customer satisfaction, but nope! he never did anything or let anyone know that we were possibly unhappy, he just kept staring at us. . It was really awkward and frustrating . We are the type of people to ask 1 time, give 1 chance and then we drop it. We don't go harp over and over again, we just gracefully tap out - so we are tapping out of this. No more five guys for us. read more

Food was mediocre, at best. We were so excited due to how much they pushed how amazing the fries were only to receive fries that tasted like they were cooked in old oil and had been sitting. Not good at all. It was so expensive too! Very disappointed and will not be back. read more

Burgers are great. The french fries are plentiful and tasty. The restaurant is always clean and the service is fast.

Ordered here for lunch, as it had been quite awhile since I'd had them. The service was decent, and the restaurant was clean and orderly. However, I feel that the quality of the food was less than what I would expect. Maybe it's because I don't go here often, but I seem to remember the sandwiches being a bit bigger. And the taste was mediocre.... The burger didn't have much seasoning. Overall, it was ok but not what I had hoped for. read more

Five Guys is a chain restaurant that you can count on to have excellent burgers. Their everything burger reminds me of the best Wendy's burger I ever had, before Wendy's took a downhill slide. This is everything that burger was and more. The burgers come standard with two patties, and lots of free toppings you can specify. I recommend adding jalapeños if you like it spicy...they are fresh sliced, not pickled, so they add a pleasant flavor. The best burger in my opinion is the one with everything add jalapeños. The fries are "eh," because they're those carny type fries you can get at the fair. Very potato-y and kind of limp and burnt tasting. Some people love those kind of fries though, so if that's your thing then you'll be happy. They also have peanuts to snack on just loose in boxes around the restaurant, so if you've got a peanut allergy stay far far away from this place. Overall a great addition to the Columbus eating scene. read more

Everything tasted good. But I feel like it's a little overpriced for what you get! And the music was so loud, I could even hear the person sitting across from me! Turn that crap down some! We tried the new Five Guys in Columbus for dinner. Other than a couple people cutting in front of us in line, we had a great experience! I love being able to add on as many toppings as I want! I ordered a little cheeseburger and it was enough for me! We ordered a regular fry and they were delicious! Cooked perfectly! Our food was prepared really fast for being as busy as they were! Everyone working there seemed really nice and were enjoying being at work :) nice to see! We will be back! read more

It's a burger chain. Tasted similar to every other five guys I've been to. The burgers are above average. The fries are fresh cut, but super soggy. This location in Columbus is terrible. In a small strip mall with very little parking. The parking lot is very narrow. I watched a truck try to park 3 times in the same spot. During lunch if you drive by it, traffic actually backs up in the street. Not sure what's up with their ventilation system. Got home and we smelled like onions, really strong. Had to wash cloths and coats immediately. Nothing to write home about. Average. read more

OMG. That was a great burger! I've been to Five Guys in locations from DC to Indy, but today was an exceptional burger. You need to remember that a regular hamburger is a double and a "little" burger is a single patty. I like mine with bacon, cheese, and mushrooms. Fresh cut fries should be shared with 2-3 people. Peanuts to snack on while you wait for your always cooked to order fresh never frozen worth the wait food items. Large bright location, lots of windows and bright red trim. Coke Freestyle machines for nearly infinite drink choices. There is not enough parking, but there is more behind the building. It's a short walk and you could use the exercise. read more

Maybe I'm just missing something because I don't understand the popularity of this place. The burgers are average at best. The cajun fries are pretty good. However the overall price you pay here is unreasonable. Five Guys simply doesn't live up to the hype. It's a one and done for me. read more

This is amazing place to eat my mom and son and I went to eat there yesterday it reminded me of in and out burger in California. People were great the service was so over the top. Sometime, you just can't go wrong to go to Five Guys. Easy parking and always felt the same no matter what type of burger that you are going to order. It is not cheap, but taste good. The waste time was short. Staff is very helpful. read more

I've had Five Guys in a few other locations. My first trip to the Columbus location was a disappointment. When I arrived there was no line so they took my order immediately. 15 looooooong minutes later I got my food. I had forgotten there regular burger is gigantic and feeds a family of four. I dived in an attempted to make it through the beast. I love all of the fresh lettuce and condiments but the burgers were way over cooked. The edges were dark brown from being dried out from the cooking. Very rare to have a dry burger but that is what I got. Could be a start up learning curve but I know I also don't want to wait 15 minutes for food when you arrive around 11 am. We'll see if they get better... read more
