Good burger, great fries Received it through delivery and it was still hot I would definitely order from them again

Good food but is it that much better than In n Out or a locally owned burger place? $9 for a small hamburger? $5 for a small order of fries? $4 fountain drinks? $7 milkshakes? A family of four is going to spend $100 in here. Is it because of Oakland's onerous anti-business climate? No, this is in Emeryville. Is it their high labor costs? No, there are only 5 people (lol of course) working on Saturday. High quality ingredients? In n out uses similar quality stuff and their prices are still reasonable. The food is good but not that great. They don't even melt the cheese, and then don't care if you order for here. They thrust a bag at you: here's your food, sucker, now get out. Ordered online, arrived & door dash app didn't show order completed yet Inquired, then they dropped the fries that then joined the awaiting burger. Drove twenty minutes away, fries & burger were still hot, and very fresh. The big cheeseburger cost $15+, however, they really cooked it well exactly to my specifications online. I had not visited this location in several months, but will surely return frequently in the future. Staff was polite, and welcoming upon me entering the restaurant. Honest workers, I came back the following day for my shake that wasn't handed to me when my number was called and left and went home to realize I didn't have it. The next day I came back and they remembered me. Only downside is their phone lines don't work, I tried calling multiple times. Parking is easy, and inside is clean. read more

The staff here are friendly and competent. I always want to like Five Guys and the concept seems great, but every location I have gone to makes me reconsider whether I should ever eat fast food again. The buns taste like play-doh, the meat is greasy, and the fries are limp. Five Guys is not for me I suppose. This is my second time visiting this location for a simple cup of ice, which is A32 ounce to be charged $3.86 for a cup. That's probably only $1 is completely uncalled for the first time I did this was about a month ago, then did it again today. Same price. I'm being charged for a soda but only having a cup of ice. Someone needs to look into this like yesterday. read more

It is rare to find a restaurant that prepares an amazing, lettuce wrapped burger. Ooowee Five Guys does not disappoint! I wish they had more than one cheese option because wth is "American cheese" anyway The shakes are perfect and no one has better seasoned fries. I don't know how I'm able to eat here since I have a major peanut allergy, but I've never had any issues. read more

First time to this location! Super clean space, friendly staff, and tasty burger and fries. I get the little bacon cheese (all the way) with a side of A1 sauce and cajun fries. I grew up with one of these in my hometown, so it's nostalgic. But these taste like the best fresh burgers you make at a backyard bbq. read more

This review is for Five Guys @ 3839 Emery Street in Emeryille, CA. I ordered through GrubHub for delivery on June 19. I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich, a bacon cheese dog, and regular size fries. The cheese dog was disappointing where the bacon was burnt and the lettuce was one small section of one leaf. The hotdog itself was delicious. The bun wasn't toasted, but it was warm. The grilled cheese sandwich was okay. But again the lettuce portion was very small like the bacon cheese dog. The fries were delicious. They are cooked skin on. You get a lot of them. Both items were smaller than expected. On the website they look bigger. They give you a lot of fries, more than expected. I give this store a 3/5. read more

So clean. The burgers were delicious as usual and the Cajun fries were abundant. Order came out in about 5-10 minutes with 3 burgers. There were plenty of people right before us so it didn't seem like an excessive wait. It's nice to see where I'll eat every time I have to do some frustrating home improvement with Home Depot very close by. read more

I love 5 guys.... I'm not sure what this is. I've never tasted.... Nothing? The burger has no flavor at all. Meat isn't salted or anything. My fries were drenched In salt. After 25 dollars you'd think you could enjoy a piece of your meal. Won't be back to this location. read more

I was so happy a location finally opened in Emeryville! The worker Danny was so nice and friendly, he gave us warm greetings, was super helpful and kind. The burger patties were cooked to perfection, so juicy! And the fries, wow so fresh and crispy! Love this place, I can't wait to go back. It's a tiny location but it also had outdoor seating. I have been to many 5 guys but all are too out of the way, I can't say how grateful I am this one opened ! read more

Welcome Five Guys! Stopped by Home Depot while during an errand at lunch and happened to look down the street and saw Five Guys! What a surprise and how convenient to meet my lunch time hungries. Classic menu where the burgers are double patties - so I order a "little" which is a single patty. You get to pick from a million toppings. The regular fries are huge too, I could have a spilt a small order - but make um cajun! Space is nice but the music is a tad loud, seating inside and out, lots of condiments on the side and don't miss the gigantic mound of salted peanuts to munch on while waiting for the burger. All the orders are bagged the same way so doesn't matter if you stay or go. read more

Was walking by and didn't see a line so decided to pop in. When I entered I was greeted right away by a friendly cashier. I ordered a hamburger and fries, and the cashier was thorough and repeated my hamburger customizations to me. It took about 10 minutes for my order to be ready. The hamburger tasted great! Done just right, was juicy and had the toppings I requested. I remember the fries getting better though. Not bad, just not to as good as other Five Guys I went to, but as always they give you a generous amount. As for the space, it's pretty small with only a few tables inside, so this will mainly be a to go spot for me. But the restaurant is very clean and well staffed. I will definitely be back to get more burgers here. read more

How nice to have a five guys close to home. Amazing staff, working their butts off. Right clean dining area. Typically good five guys food. Only concern, vagrance often live on the sidewalk outside their door. I will revise this review if that becomes an issue. For now I'm sticking with five stars. Great job five guys! read more

I never would have thought a restaurant could put more salt on its fries than burger king. I was wrong. What a shameful thing for a fast food restaurant to do, than provide harmful levels of salt to its customers, all to get them to buy more drinks or cover up the taste of the fries.
