This used to be another burger spot, which I never went to, but my sis -in law had a massage and we were hungry so we just went across the street to here. I think it supposed to remind you of the old 1960's diner but not really. However, the staff was great. You can order at the kiosk and add/remove items from the burgers. I decided on the Bulgogi burger and my sis in law had the cheese burger. We both ordered onion rings. The bulgogi was delicious with the grilled red onions. The cheeseburger was a bit sad. Met some friends here on a Sat night around 5:30. It was pretty empty. Order at the counter. Lots of tables downstairs and more upstairs so a good place to have a conversation wih friends. I had the Monclair Burger came with grilled cheese, mushroom and carelized onions. Friend had the Caesar Salad. Portions are very good size. Love me a generous portion of tater tots! Burger very tasty - not too big but could order a double or triple. Staff was super nice, especially the young lady. EEven though she didn't have to, she brought all our food and drinks out to us. I found out about this place through a yelp event and could not go because I was sick. But they were always on my mind, I love the story, it sounded like they had great food, and they had a gluten-free bun. So I was all in and wanted to go. I was disappointed that I could not make the yelp event, but I was confident that I would have a time to go there and enjoy my burger. I did enjoy my burger. And despite the description, it was a burger. They said it was a Smashburger and that's probably the case, but nothing was special about it. I went into the location and they were a little hard to find, but I managed. But that wasn't why they lost stars. The problem is that the burger is only OK. I paid way too much money for a burger. That was just OK. The place that makes the burgers has a really beautiful ambience and I love the art on the walls and the truth of the matter is that I wanted to like them way more than I did. The first time I can on a Friday night, it took longer than expected as this spot is popular and not large, so they don't have too many cooks in the kitchen.
