I was craving Chick-fil-a and decided to try a few different things on the menu. I ordered thru DoorDash delivery and chose the spicy deluxe sandwich, waffle fries, chicken nuggets and side salad. It took about 25 minutes for my order to arrive and it still remained hot and fresh. I can't speak to the ambiance of the spot this time. Starting with the sandwich, the buns were so soft and pillowy! The chicken was perfectly breaded and fried, without getting soggy and still held a nice crunch. I always love the pickles as well as the cheese that goes well with the heat. I also used more hot sauce and honey mustard which brings the flavors to the next level. The chicken nuggets are equally bite-sized and juicy. They're not dried out at all. They're perfect when dipped with any of the sauces. The side salad with the avocado lime ranch dressing is fresh and delicious. I appreciate the plump tomatoes, the shredded cheese and crunchy lettuce in the salad. The waffle fries are always a hit in my opinion. I like that you can control the salt and you also can't go wrong with any of the sauces too. I stopped by this Chick-fil-A and decided to try the new Chicken & Waffle Sandwich with a side of hash browns. The combination of the chicken, bacon, waffle, and syrup was actually really good, and the flavors paired nicely together. The waffle was a little soggy, though, and I was surprised they didn't include a side of syrup with the sandwich. I had to ask for it separately. The hash browns were also a bit soggy. I normally prefer them much crispier, so that was a little disappointing. The staff was friendly as always, and the atmosphere was pretty nice. This location was very busy when I visited, which may have contributed to the food not being as crispy as usual. Overall, I enjoyed trying the new sandwich and would probably give it another try. Chick fil a is one of the better fast food chains in my opinion. I had the waffle fries and the chicken nuggets. The waffle fries have nice texture, but I'd like it if they were saltier so that they're less bland. The chicken nuggets are good--not too dry. The breading is pretty good, too. I've had the chicken sandwich before, and I didn't like that because the chicken was too thick, making it a bit bland. I still prefer McDonald's fries and McNuggets, though. read more

I haven't been to Chick-fil-A in years. The last time I had it was back when I lived in San Jose, so since I was in the area, I decided to stop by because it sounded good. This location doesn't have a drive-through, so I placed an online order instead. When I got there, I thought it would be like McDonald's where you park in a designated spot and they bring your food out, but that's not how it works here. After placing your order, it gives you an estimated pickup time and you can track the status. Once it's ready, you go inside and give them the last four digits of your phone number to confirm your order. The whole process was actually really easy. I ordered a spicy chicken deluxe sandwich meal with a side salad. I really like their side salad with the ranch salsa dressing. I asked for extra red fried bell peppers, but they only gave me one packet. My meal overall was good, but the chicken sandwich didn't taste as fresh as I remembered. The cheese wasn't melted and the bun wasn't warm, which was a bit disappointing. Still, it satisfied my Chick-fil-A craving. There appeared to be more than one way to order at this restaurant: the orthodox by the counter, the second is by the app and pick up the item later. The last option is by scanning the QR code that is stuck on each table. We took the first option and ordered via the counter. We were pretty hungry at the time, so we ordered the deluxe and then a large box of fries. We first thought of getting the original, but deluxe offered more vegetables, so we decide to add that extra for the extra. The order came in pretty fast and a handful of condiment packets (special sauce, mustard, and mayonnaise) and napkins were included in the paper bag. For this round, I tried out the special sauce on the chicken patty sandwich and then dipped fries into it. The special sauce tasted like muted barbecue sauce. I couldn't make out what the other flavors other than the subtle barbecue flavor. Overall, the sauce was pretty oily, so it didn't provide a balanced punch to the already oily and fried chicken patty. If I were to try this sandwich again, I'll skip the special sauce and go for the mustard. Maybe ketchup would have been a better alternative. (also, not sure why there was no ketchup, is that common in Chick-fil-A?) The chicken patty was good, not crispy but it was very juicy. The breading was lightly seasoned, so I didn't have a salty mouthfeel afterwards. The buns are pretty soft, so after taking the photo, the moment I grabbed it, the bread easily surrendered by my hand pressure (I wasn't even squeezing it). By two or more bites, the bun was as thin as a tortilla. The fries were piping hot, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, the ideal fried potato. However, for ordering a large, it didn't have many. Generally it feels like a good place to have a snack but its portions are light. read more

Is Chick-fil-A has got to be one of the quickest locations I've ever been to. Literally in five minutes your order will already be finished and they will have it ready for you. However, this location has some of the absolute rudest staff you will encounter. I asked where I needed to go to retrieve my food and was ignored. Even even more when I finally found the location, the employee who is serving me had an attitude. She asked me my name, and at first denied my order. Even though she saw that my name was on the board, and that there are two bags in front of me, which are literally right by her that had my name on it she opted to go to the back to waste time. It came off like she didn't like being told what to do, but I was just trying to help her save time. Now, when she finally gave me my food, she said absolutely nothing just handed it to me and didn't even respond to me thanking her for it. Her rudeness didn't ruin my experience, but it definitely put a damper on that Chick-fil-A reputation that is known for excellent service. Other than that, parking outside is very hard to find. That's not surprising because it's a Chick-fil-A but having to go above and beyond circling for an open spot, definitely doesn't give you the best set up to enjoy a meal. When you answer the restaurant, you will notice that the environment is very fast and chaotic so if you like to enjoy your meal in peace, this most likely is not the place for that. The food that I receive tasted fine, but they did forget some of the sauces to our order and the large Coke that accompanied my meal was practically flavorless. So if there is one thing to praise about this location, it literally is just the speed. They can get you in and out of there and it feels like a record-breaking time for a Chick-fil-A. There are two entrances -- the closest one to the parking lot is actually for delivery only, so walk toward the street to get to the main entrance where you can order in person. The inside has plenty of seating but can fill up during the weekend/peak dining hours. Staff was friendly and quick to take my order, and my order came out quickly after ordering. The deluxe sandwich didn't really feel that deluxe, as it just adds a slice of American cheese, lettuce and tomatoes to the sandwich. When it came time to order, I told the worker that I wanted to use my points on one of the sandwiches. I scanned my app and didn't see a change in price. Line was to the door. Dine in areas were full. Which I would consider very busy for 8pm on a Friday. The line moved fast. All the staff was super nice and efficient. I received my food quickly. We're a regular at the Emeryville location just because it is closest to us in Alameda. My boyfriend loves Chick-fil-a so much that he chose his health insurance to be in Dublin and Walnut Creek to justify the trip so he could get his hands on their chicken before this location opened up. (Not that he needed any sort of excuse to make the drive). However, this visit, our fry and bread quality was very poor -- like level 2 out of 10 poor. Our large fries were filled with only small bits; no whole waffle fries. They were burnt and hella brown as you can see from posted photos. They were not hot or warm at all so definitely been sitting out a bit. The taste was disgusting so I'm thinking a fry oil change was overdue. As for the buns, they were soggy and one set smelled/tasted like bananas which was off putting. I'm not sure if bananas were stored next to the bun sack while it was open or it was present during baking at the warehouse but the essence was very much there. Service was good. We received all expected sauces, were given extra when asked, and food came out within 12min after arriving post mobile order. With the exception that we received no napkins and no straw for the frosted lemonade so we had to go back in and ask which was annoying. Drive-thrus make alot of money. Somewhere, someone had to make a very hard decision not to put a drive-thru in this restaurant. Lots of people love the convenience of a drive-thru. Maybe they feel safer in their vehicle. But the problem with a drive-thru in a busy restaurant like a Chick-Fil-A is it requires alot of space. The card was for a sandwich or chicken, but like any good working mom with a real hunger, we also ordered a salad from the menu... and what a delight! As a mom, you appreciate not having to stand around waiting, especially when you come with kids or after a long day. But what gets a 10 out of 10 is the service. Finally a Chick Fil A closer by my house! I was really happy to see this location being built and then opening up. So far, I have came here around 3x since they first opened. Their food IMO is pretty standard to their other locations around the Bay Area. I have not become disappointed with the quality or the taste of the food from here so far. I ordered a Cobb salad today and the filet was super crispy! It definitely satisfied me. Service on the other hand is OK and the employees I've encountered were friendly and maybe overwhelmed (I don't blame them). They have been operating for less than a month so there's definitely some tweaks that need to be smoothed out but that is something to be expected. This is a very busy location and there is no drive-thru. There is indoor and outdoor seating if you choose to eat at the location but if you are ordering to-go and grabbing just a few things, I HIGHLY suggest downloading the app and ordering for pick up. I gave the worker my name and she retrieved my order. The sandwich comes in a white buttered bun with tomato, lettuce, and pickles. There's eight different sauces, mayo, mustard, hot sauce and honey that you can request with your sandwich. The chicken patty is good sized but thought it looked dark golden brown, it was not as crispy that I would have liked. It was a good fried chicken sandwich, but my favorite is still at the place with the name of the cartoon sailor. Finally open! They gave out some freebies at opening. This was previous a Panera bread, This shares a parking plaza with Target. No drive-thru. However, at grand opening, everything was done so fast and efficient that there was always parking available. The line went quick even if it looked full.
