I'll be honest, I really don't get what the big deal is with Five Guys. It seems to be a place that is given so much praise and recognition. I came here for the first time the other day to give it a shot. It really did not impress me the way I hoped. The food was not bad by any means, however I've had burgers from McDonald's that are just as good...and FAR less expensive. A single patty bacon cheeseburger with fries cost about $13 and that does not include drink. In all fairness, the staff was nice and the restaurant was clean. However, would I come back to Five Guys for the quality of the burger and the price I paid? Probably not. read more

I feel like the quality of this Five Guys is like a burger restaurant yo-yo. One minute it's up, and then it's down. When Five Guys is on their best game, it is easily the best burger I've ever tasted. Any other time, and you might as well go somewhere else. I have to show up right when they open just to get a properly made burger. Their expensive prices don't help the matter. Between 16 and 20 dollars I've paid for a two patty Bacon Cheeseburger, Cajun fries, and a large drink. If I'm going to shell out that kind of money for any kind of food, it needs to be top notch. The grilled onions and mushrooms I get on my burger really aren't grilled. They really should be called "sautéed onions and mushrooms." I guess, when I think of grilled onions, I should call them caramelized onions. That could just be a failure on my part, but for these prices, am I really that wrong? Their Cajun fries are good, but they're greasy. The one thing I will say in their defense is that they do know how to make bacon for a burger. But even then, anybody in my position could make bacon for a cheeseburger at home and save a ton of cash over going to this place. Sorry, Five Guys. I'm not impressed. read more

It's a burger joint. Nothing fancy. Doesn't claim to be. Burgers are made with real beef. Real beef! (still can't figure out what Sonic uses, yuck!). Lots of fresh toppings to chose from. I keep it simple so I can taste the meat. I can't figure out how some people are claiming the fries are frozen. The bags and bags of potatoes lining the order line kinda gives it away, and the board on the wall that tells you where the potatoes of the day are grown. The fries are fried to order and need to be eaten immediately because they are so fresh, they will get soggy if ordered to go because they don't stay crispy as long as the frozen ones. In the past, we were impressed by the great service and fun atmosphere. Not so on our recent 1.20.18 visit. The young lady taking my order didn't take it correctly. Then the music was so loud and obnoxious it was uncomfortable to even be in the place. I did talk to the manager and she refunded our meal and was gracious. She explained the music is picked by corporate and they can't control anything but the volume. I do appreciate her working to make our experience more pleasant. I'll think long and hard before I visit this 5 Guys location again though. read more

I love their burgers! and fries... lol. There is nothing more American than a good ol' cheeseburger & if you haven't tried it, DO IT! I promise you won't be disappointed. You pick from a simple menu and load it up with lots of toppings (FREE) Get those veggies in! haha - Prepare to do a little extra work out the next day :) I've been to this location a few times and have always been treated great- friendly service and good food for cheap... can't beat that! I want to add, their fry portions are crazy (regular & large) and they throw some in the bag too, so for 2 people a regular is more than plenty! and get some cajun fry seasoning on the side - yum! Enjoy! Also, they have an app so you can order from your phone and swing by and pick it up. Blech!!! This place is awful... These burgers are a "gut bomb" waiting to give someone a heart attack. I ordered a "small" burger with mustard lettuce tomatoes and pickles, but the patty was super, super greasy and the bun was soggy. Then the kid who put the fries in the bag just threw them in on top of everything and it was gross. I had to dig past the fries to get to the burger, and you could see all the fry grease seeping through the paper bag. I almost gave it back and asked for a refund. The fries were were waaaay too salty and greasy. I tried to eat some of it, but threw it out and left. On top of that, the meal was super expensive. A tiny burger, fries and a coke was over $11.00. I wish I could give this place negative stars. I'll never go back, and definitely not recommend this place to anyone. Yuck! read more

Usually get good burgers and fries from here. Ordered on the phone app as usual and stepson went and picked it up. Two burgers didn't have cheese as ordered. Ordered a small Cajun fry for one person and a large regular to split with my wife. This place does have a good berger but I'm pretty sure its only because it's swimming in grease. I do like that you can add any topping at no extra charge but I hate the way they mash the berger into the foil so when you open it, the bread is soggy sheets of paper with grease running out every where. The menu at Five Guys is so limited I refuse to go any longer. No onion rings. No salads. Only burgers and fries. How boring. You have to ask for mustard. There is no salt or pepper anywhere to be seen. The bathrooms are solo, so if someone is hogging up the bathroom, you just have to wait, even if it's lunchtime, and you're on a short time fuse. The 5 guys burger is decent- they have a good variety of toppings and all the burgers are double meat. With that being said, the burgers are still pretty small. Maybe its the bun size, I'm not sure. Think McDonald's $1 burger bun compared to a Whataburger burger bun. The cajun fries are good, but over-seasoned. I end up trying to brush some of the seasoning off just to make them enjoyable. Had these burgers a couple of years ago when I lived in Norfolk, Virginia because everyone raved about them and their awesome fries. Well, I wasn't much impressed then and I finally stopped by again this past weekend just to get it out of my system again.....Same place, same experience! - Most people will jump out of their seats to give this establishment a 9?? - Sorry to disappoint, but I've had better cow on a bun off the back of a meat truck on the southside of hTown! - Sure, they're burgers look huge, but there's more lettuce and tomato than anything else......Cheesy with lots of bacon is always a great combination to hide the fact that the meat is pretty average, to say the least. No complaints. I got the single patty cheeseburger with sauteed onions and mushrooms and some Cajun fries. I thought the burger tasted about equal to MooYah's and better than Smashburger. The fries are similar to MooYah's (medium thickness) with a tad more grease (just how I like em) and with the Cajun flavoring on them it was just enough salty vs. seasoning. I've been to Five Guys several times and thought it was time to write a review. It seems like this is one of those places that you love or don't. I'm one of the don'ts. While the hamburgers are decent enough and taste "homemade", it isn't the kind of homemade I like. I don't like the hot burger with cold toppings wrapped up in foil. It reminds me of something my mom would have made in the 70s and I don't pay money to feel like I'm eating at home. I find their menu confusing for sizing of the burgers and fries. We always end up with too many fries. Also, there isn't a kids meal which makes it a little expensive. Overall the place is okay but there are so many other places I would rather go. Wife and I were in the area, and we didn't know of any good places to eat. We'd heard pretty good things about Five Guys, so we decided to give it a shot. First off, we walked in and it felt like a walk in cooler. Don't know why they have thermostat set on 60 as it was in the low 70s outside. Wife gave the guy at the counter her order, and I asked for a beer. Turns out they don't serve alcohol. I ask the counter guy how they make money without selling beer, and he says they charge 20 bucks for a burger. After waiting 15 minutes (I checked the ticket), her food was ready. Burger was not bad and the fries were ok. Not worth $13.50 IMHO for burger+fries+drink at a counter-service joint. We won't be returning. read more

I went around 5:30 to pick up an Internet order. The young guy at the register was very disinterested in helping me. He told me my food would be ready in a few minutes. I could see two internet orders sitting above the fries. He then turned away from me and continued his conversation with another employee without checking the two Internet orders above the fries. After 10 minutes, I asked the manager to check the two bags above the fries and amazingly enough my order was one of them. Now I wasted 10 minutes and my food was cold. Very poor service. This location has to have the worse customer service by far. The past 3-4 times I have been here I have ordered online and showed up a few minutes past when my order was supposed to be ready. It's never ready and I always have to wait 10 minutes atleast. No point in online ordering. The workers today really pissed me off. I show up, my burger is on the table with all the toppings, just waiting on the meat, ok no big deal. Once the meat was placed on my burger and there were no other orders in front of me, the lil curled haired African American girl looked at me with an attitude when I showed I was getting impatient and sit my food down for the next 5 minutes looking back and forth at me, I made no fuss thinking they were waiting on fries, but after a few more minutes the other kid who has attitude pulled fries that had been done the whole time and threw them in the bag. Unnecessary and petty, if you don't like your job. QUIT and don't give this franchise a bad name. read more
