I like Five Guys, but not so much the one in East Windsor. I ordered for delivery this time because I don't have the means to pick up my food at the moment. The order was wrong, so I called the store. The employee asked me to hold and instead of muting or putting on hold, I guess they left the phone on the counter where I heard him complaining about me calling in to let them know that they gave me the wrong order and that I should just eat what was given to me. After 5 minutes of me listening to the complaints, he finally picked up the phone and said I could pick up the correct order. I told him i couldn't pick it up because i couldn't drive at the moment which was why i ordered for delivery to begin with. He said to have a good night and hung up. I ended up calling customer service and they said they would give me a refund. The next time I want Five Guys and am able to actually drive myself, I'm going to Plainsboro or Hamilton. read more

My second visit to this location. I'm usually a pretty generous tipper, but it irks me that as I place an order at the counter the receipt asks how much tip you'd like to leave. The employees at this point are just doing their jobs, ringing up and placing the order, and cooking the food. There's obviously no waiter/waitress service at this location. The burgers are good as are the fries. The store is nicely decorated. The price of $50 for two burgers, one fries and two drinks is definitely too expensive. read more

In my life, I have written only 2 reviews generally for restaurants. Both were positive, actually. However, this is my first negative review. I typically don't like to bash businesses online, but I felt like I should say something here. Generally, I love Five Guys and typically go to the one in Plainsboro. However, I've been to this location (East Windsor) twice and both experiences were uncomfortable for me. The food was good both times. However, the communication in this location is appalling. Today, I ordered my food via the Google App and received an update that my food was going to ready at 1:05 pm. I decided to give it an extra 3-5 minutes because they were super slow during my prior visit. What do you know, the same thing happened here too. I pulled into the parking lot and left my car running with my son and dog inside, figuring that I would go in and come out. I went in and stood by the "pick up" area and waited patiently for my food. During this time, nobody actually acknowledged me. Fine, as long as my food gets done and put in a bag, I don't care. A young employee asked me what name I was here for. I told him, Elizabeth. He said, ok. then he proceeded hand me a big bag and I looked at the name, and nope, it was Lisa. I gave it back to him. I waited more. Then, the same employee found my bag on the side and told another employee (manager? female?) that part of my order was still missing. The manager then turned around and yelled at the employee, "Well, YOU didn't tell me that "Elizabeth" was here for her order. YOU didn't tell me this. YOU didn't say anything." She was so mad that I didn't now if she was yelling at me, yelling at him, yelling at whoever would listen to her. So this poor employee stood quietly as he was being berated, and I had to step in and say, "In all fairness to him, I didn't tell him my name either." The manager stared at me blankly. A few minutes later, this young employee tried to give me the bag again thinking it was fulfilled, and again, she scolded him really badly for trying to give it to me too early. This kid was awful at his job, but the manager's loud communication, mean comments, and general attitude were actually the things that made me feel like I was stepping into a family intervention or divorce proceedings. Finally, my food was ready, and this young employee spent EONS trying to put on this red sticker. I eventually told him that I didn't care about the sticker. I walked out with my food at 1:21 instead of 1:05. If it had just been late, I would have been irritated still but not written this review. However, the whole place has this weird, uncomfortable, environment. I don't plan to come here again. I will focus instead on the other locations. read more

Burger well done. Fries well done and over seasoned Burgers seen to be shrinking but very tastey never the less. Seem like the fixing have been scaled back in order to fit the bun and patty. Service is still exemplary even if the complimentary peanuts is salty as hell. read more

I walked into this five guys on 130 and walked away with a very sad feeling for 5 guys. I order a junior cheeseburger medium fries and a shake . The shake was good although had to ask for whipped creme. But the fries were soggy and limp and the burger was terrible. Not sure if they are trying to save cost but the burgers seems smaller and they charged me for cheese and did not put it on. I had to take it back and request they add cheese. No Mustard No mayo no onions absolutely nothing. There burgers used to be things I raved about. Not anymore Not sure if all 5 guys locations are suffering but stay away from east windsor location. Okay so listen, it's a fast food chain so I am totally taking that into consideration but GUYS, take the "veggie sandwich" off the menu. It's my fault for ordering a veggie anything from a burger place but I'm vegetarian and my family wanted Five Guys. Here's the thing, this is condiments in foil. Why is there relish?! Who's idea was that. Fire that guy. Do you like relish? I don't. And I don't like it most when it's added to my food for no reason. This is silly. You don't have to have vegetarian anything at a burger place. I'm just annoyed that it's $4 for iceberg lettuce, a tomato slice and some relish. The fries are over salted. The 5 Guys in East Windsor is finally opened after being in construction and pre-opening for what felt like an eternity! The layout of the store is modern and spacious. The business was well-staffed with friendly employees. I've eaten at numerous 5 Guys in the past. For this particular location, the cooks are too liberal with the salt shaker. The burger and especially fries were too salty. Hopefully they tone it down so that I can return. read more

Delicious, juicy burgers and fantastic french fries. This is the best fast food restaurant for burgers and fries. And I love that their standard burgers have two patties and they are very generous with their french fries portions. No matter size fry you order the dump an extra scoop of fries into the bag. Usually love Five Guys East Windsor, NJ not so much this evening. My daughter ordered diner for the family, ordering 2 cheeseburgers well done, and 2 medium orders of fries. When she arrived home there were not enough French fries in 1 cup to feed 1 person, the burgers were cooked almost medium not well-done. Again we generally we enjoy Five guys burgers. The location in East Windsor is different from the location in Hamilton, Plainsboro and any location that we have patronized. We enjoy patronizing businesses in East Windsor/Hightstown and wish to continue to patronize Five guys. Love this place! Burgers aren't cooked medium rare but I don't mind because they are always juicy and hot! Share a little fry because they always give you a TON! Fast service just order when you walk in and take a seat. Grab some of the peanuts to snack on while you wait. They have milkshakes and all the mix ins are included, extra charge for whip cream. Five guys is a great chain and most locations are awesome and will give you everything you order on the first try. However, I do not recommend that you order delivery from this location because they will skimp on fries (like less than half the amount of fries I ordered) and burger size (I guess they didn't think I would drive 8 minutes and have them fix my order) Three teenage boys were behind the counter, I asked them to remake the order and give me the correct burger sizes and the correct French fry sizes. They gave me a more appropriate amount of fries but they refused to give me two large fry cups for the two large fries I ordered. If you go, make sure you pick it up yourself and make sure you check the order before you leave the restaurant because they don't always hire workers who will read your order and they will just give you whatever size burger they feel like giving you. Definitely not acceptable for $30 spent. read more

Very disappointed!!! Walked in to Five Guys right at 10pm with my daughter to get one of their amazing burgers! People were still in there eating but was told sorry we can't help you...most restaurants will serve their customers up until the closing time but I guess not this one?! I even ask to speak to the manager and she said we are cleaned up alright (it was 10:01 at the time) It seems like they were hope not to get anymore customers...well they got there wish because the just lost one!!! My wife andI were very disappointed in the Five Guys in East Windsor. First, I think that the burgers are overpriced. I am fine paying more for a really good burger, but I really didn't think this one was anything really special. My wife and I decided to share a large double patty cheese burger [no bacon or anything extra] and a medium fries. No drinks. That came to over $14.00. We ordered at the counter and then our number was called to get our order. They put the burger, wrapped in aluminum foil on the bottom of a brown paper bag, and then dumped the fries, which were overflowing a paper cup on top. So, we had to dump out the fries to get to our burger. There were no plates, just a big greasy mess. I asked for some plates, so we could dump out the fries to get to the burger and they gave us two small aluminum take out trays. Once we dealt with the fries, we were able to cut the burger into two halves and each eat it off of the aluminum foil The place has all the charm of a middle-school cafeteria. The ambience is enhanced by fairly loud, annoying music that bounces off of the tile walls. When we were done we had some fries left over, that we had to take home in the grease soaked brown paper bag hoping not to get the grease on anything in our car. We are in the boomer generation. They are probably aiming at Gen z. Maybe they have a different clientele than us in mind, but that is fine, because my wife and I are certainly never going back. There are too many other places in town to get a really nice burger and some fries that are much more pleasant, and where you don't have to deal with the mess. i think i am being generous giving it two stars.
