I ordered ahead for a cheeseburger and fries today. When I arrived, the food was done, and they had waited to put the fries in the bag so that they didn't get cold. They were polite, quick, accurate, and looked like they were having a good time working. The value is very good and the food tastes great. I have never had a bad experience here. We just ordered pick up and ate it in the car 2020 style. When my husband ran in to pickup the food he was very impressed with their social distancing and cleanliness protocols. Every either was properly wearing a well-fitting mask and gloves. He even saw several people change their gloves after touching items that would necessitate a change. Even the table spacing was very intentional. Plenty of space to distance and the tables were set up so people wouldn't be walking right by them to exit, enter, and get their food. I love me some 5 guys. Unlike the location on 82nd, this place is easy to get to from any direction. Came here last Sunday after our realtor had told us she just had it. Damn her for planting the seed, we were trying our best to eat healthy, and that just doesn't happen here. I'm not going to go into too much detail here, as I've written about other locations, suffice it to say their burgers and fries are wicked bad. They always come out fresh, and are more than enough to fill you. I didn't realize this was such a popular "brunch" spot, as we found ourselves in a sea of church goers, trying to find a table (keep in mind, this place probably seats about 30-45 people. Fortuantely, a table opened up, and we were able to enjoy our meal in peace. Also of note, the people working here were super friendly, which, considering how busy they were, was pretty impressive. I've heard good things about Five Guys from friends ever since it finally made its appearance in the Indy area, but never had the courage to give it a shot until today. I had the "small" cheeseburger and Cajun fries. I wasn't disappointed, but it was way too much for lunch -- I could barely stay awake for the rest of the afternoon with all that food in my belly! One of the best things about Five Guys is all the topping choices -- your typical veggies, plus relish, A1 Steak Sauce, BBQ sauce, jalapenos, sauteed onions and sauteed mushrooms. I opted for the sauteed onions & 'shrooms, which were great. The burgers are deliciously greasy, with just the right amount of gooey cheese and a buttered, grilled bun. Altogether, I was pretty happy with the burger. I probably won't order the Cajun fries again, as the seasoning was just a tad too spicy for me. Another great bonus about the place is that there are peanuts for you to eat while you're waiting on your food. Five Guys also serves grilled cheese and hot dogs. I swear they are the only fast food place that will grill the onions before tossing them on your burger. That's the right way to do onions on a burger my friends. None of that raw onion crap. Five Guys is right around the corner from my home, so I stop in for lunch at least once a month, depending on my business travel schedule. I really go for the fries more than the burgers. The fries are 5-star material, as fries go. Sliced on site in strips that are just the right size- thicker than all the other burger chains, but not nearly as thick as wedges, always cooked just right. I don't like 'em super crispy or soggy, and they strike the happy medium. The regular size is a huge serving. If I go large, that's all I'm getting. I love that they have malt vinegar available. The burgers are 3.5-star. I find that they are way too well done for my liking, even being fairly thick patties. For my money, Five Guys burger is still wishing it was Nickel Plate's when it grows up. You aren't getting out of here as cheap as other burger chains, but I prefer them by far. read more

What's with five guys at this location? The last few times we've been there and we get takeout at least once per week, we've noticed that we get fewer and fewer French fries. The medium size is now the small. My wife commented that she thought the burgers were smaller in size also. I felt the same but said nothing until she made the comment. I don't understand!! I do like how everything is fresh and cooked to order and wait time is usually reasonably quick. The offer a comprehensive selection of add ons to choose from but be careful because while some are free others can add up quickly. Nothing worse than burger sticker shock! The only thing keeping me from a five star on this place is the awful loud music, am I too old now??? Five Guys, you are my everything! Had my first taste of Five Guys in Texas, but quickly researched the distance between my apartment and the nearest Five Guys here in Indy after that. These burgers are and always will be the best burgers I've ever tasted. I dare you to challenge that! So juicy and the toppings are great! I always get the cheeseburger with mayo, ketchup, and grilled mushrooms. Now, I admit, I'm a bit boring when it comes to toppings on my burgers, but simplicity is the ultimate sophistication, right? Order the fries, you won't be disappointed. But, order a large serving. It's good enough for 2-3 people. While you wait for your number to be called, scoop up some peanuts to munch on to pass the time. My brother-in-law took me here for my first time the other day. Glad he did. I'm so tired of "bar burgers" and steak house burgers. I'm tired of seeing them piled high with tons of JUNK. Good location. Good service. Good food. Love getting as many toppings as I want with no extra charge. My family of 5 left without a complaint and full tummies! Little sister ordered Sea Salt Caramel milkshake and when we received it we thought it was vanilla but they made us another milkshake without a complaint. When we received the new milkshake it tasted the exact same and looked the exact same. It barely tasted like caramel and mainly vanilla. We talked to the manager and he patiently explained to us that the vanilla base is a little overpowering and he had received similar feedback. After realizing it was actually Sea Salt Caramel and not Vanilla we felt SO bad and offered to pay for the second milkshake but the manager declined. Point is, great customer service. Just watched an employee using the same dry rag, wipe down the front of the drink dispensers and countertop between them, then continue wiping down all the table tops and service counters after placing the same rag on the trash receptacle. This is unacceptable even without COVID-19. He succeeded spreading germs and bacteria all over the store. We will not be eating here anymore. read more

Maybe this isn't fair, but are the burgers getting a lot thinner? I got a regular (2 patties) and my wife got a little hamburger and she showed me that her patty was as thin as a regular McD's hamburger. Mine were too! I don't think I would have came here the past few years if they had started out that way and $13 for a couple of small burgers is disappointing. They tasted great, but were all bun and toppings. I walked up to the grill to watch them make others and they were just as thin. As a Five Guys veteran let me say my visit to this location yesterday was more than a little disappointing. I think they were understaffed based on my other visits to different locations, but the long (23 minutes) wait for my lunch was made to seem longer by the totally disinterested crew working that day. Another customer could barely contain himself as he had waited even longer. The burger was almost as good as with my other experiences at different locations. I regularly go to this location and the location on 82nd and Allisonville. Good food and customer service at both locations. I like that their fries are always fresh and actually *taste* like potatoes, and that they don't over-salt them like a lot of places do. Also like that the burger patties are made to order, rather than just sitting around under some heat lamp or something. And this may be part of my OCD, but I also like that the burgers have numbers on them that correspond with the seat number on the receipt, so if you're ordering for more than one person, you don't have to worry about unwrapping and manhandling the wrong burger. read more

This is my favorite of the Five Guys locations because it's the only one that I can ask for and get grilled, rather than uncooked, jalapenos in my grilled cheese. Having found my ideal fast food grilled cheese sandwich (grilled onion, grilled jalapenos, mustard) here, it's a rare event I'll have something other than that. At other locations, I typically swap out the raw jalapenos for mushrooms. As at all Five Guys, the small fries is more than enough for the two of us. The fries are fine, nothing special in my opinion, but I love that they have malt vinegar to put on them. If you're avoiding wheat, it's easy to order the burgers and hot dogs either in a bowl or wrapped in lettuce. For obvious reasons, that isn't an option for the grilled cheese, but it is for the other sandwiches. The service is always fast and polite and the tables are typically clean. read more

Stopped in to give into my burger crave and since it had a coke machine i decided to get a drink also. I only get one thing from machines, the strawberry lemonade. Well the first machine had no Lemonade at all and the second had all flavors of Lemonade except strawberry. I then told staff and manager came to change but his only option was to take strawberry from one machine and add to machine that had Lemonade unfortunate thing was it was busy and several people wanted drinks so I had to wait. It was frustrating but my fault for wanting sugary drink I didn't need. When i was gonna say never mind just refund me the manager beat me to it... he said I will still fix for you but also give money back for inconvenience.
