I came in with some friends after a couple years of not eating here after a friend highly recommended it. I ordered a cheeseburger which is two patties, and I added tomatoes, lettuce, pickle, and onion. I also ordered a banana milkshake and a little fry. I thought the burger and the milkshake were absolutely fabulous, super flavorful and delicious, but the fries were awful, wet and so soggy and kind of cold. We came in on a really busy evening so it took a little while for our order, but the weight wasn't too bad. They had people waiting for food. The staff was super friendly in the restaurant was pretty clean. Overall, I would probably come back again, but I would not get the fries. read more

A pretty decent burger place here in Rochester. I'm vegetarian so I ordered the grilled veggie sandwich. It was pretty good and it was really exciting to have a vegetarian option at a burger place. I have to say, though their fries were pretty sad and soggy. I was not a huge fan of those. The service was pretty good for a busy evening and we got our food relatively fast. You usually can never go wrong with the guys. Out of the countless times I've eaten here. Not just this location, but also in other states. You can always get a good burger. This particular location, is my least Favorite and I usually drive across town to another. But this time, thy looked like they were putting a lot more effort. It was much cleaner than my last visit. Five Guys is on our list of continual favorites. You can probably call us "regulars". With all due respect to all the local "ground steak" and burger places, there's just a little something that Five Guys has that makes their burgers taste better. When it comes to burgers, I break them down into 3 categories: 1.) Smashed on a griddle top. 2.) Grilled over an open flame. 3.) Thick and juicy. Five Guys falls into the smashed griddle category alongside Bill Grays, Tom Wahls, Wendy's, McDonalds. Thin patties sizzling in its own grease. Today's food was on par with what we come to expect from Five Guys. Mouth watering juicy burger patties, ooey-gooey cheese, and yummy toppings. A little skimpy on the lettuce today. If you haven't been to Five Guys before, do note that the French fries are like "family size". Don't order separate orders! Share! So, a few recommendations for improvement: 1.) Floors need a thorough degreasing. Even with slip-resistant shoes, I was slip sliding everywhere, especially in the restroom. 2.) The air conditioning is always cranking and it seems every table has a vent blowing full blast at it. 3.) The wall decor has GOT TO GO! Newspaper clippings dating back to the early 2000s isn't really credible anymore. "Best Burger" banners from Washington DC or Florida don't impress me much either. I placed an order for pick up and when I arrived to pick up the food I was completely ignored by the staff when I was asking about my order. They stared at me and walked off with out a word like I was speaking a foreign language. I attempted to engage 3 xs and it was 25 min past my pick up time and no one would assist me. Finally I demanded a manager to get my money back and the manager was one of the individuals who had ignored me when I was asking about my order. Worse customer service ever. I have been a longtime fan of Five Guys. This was probably around my 50th visit over the years to this location - and it will be my last. I placed my online order for curbside pickup at 5:32pm. I was instructed to be there at 5:39pm and to call so they could drop the fries, which I did. They said they would be out with my order in "a couple minutes." Meanwhile, I watched dozens of people walking in and walking out with food, other vehicles arriving behind me then driving away with their curbside orders. Maybe I was forgotten? So I call again. One minute later, they bring out a cold bag of food. At 6:27, 48 MINUTES after I arrived. The fries were cold. My double cheeseburger (which wasn't even made correctly) was cold and congealed. The cheesy dog was cold. I'm not sure how they can overlook a bag of food sitting right there for nearly an hour, and not to think to apologize and make a fresh new order upon realizing their mistake, but I will never be back. read more

I don't think that's available anywhere else. Yes - these burgers can get to be mess with the amount of toppings you can add, but that's part of the Five Guys experience. Their Cajun fries can stand as meal of their own with how fresh & delicious they are. I have nothing but good things to say about this place. I would probably consider it fast food, perhaps a little slower than fast food since they cook the burgers to order. Walking in you will see a number of tables and chairs, a drink station, condiments at the counter, sacks of potatoes, and boxes of peanuts free for the taking. The menu is of course, focused on the all American burger. You can order their basic burger which has TWO beef patties and whatever toppings your heart desires. You can upgrade and downgrade from there to add cheese, bacon, etc. If you aren't as hungry, get the small burger which only has one beef patty and whatever toppings you choose. All burgers are cooked to a medium well I believe. I got the bacon cheeseburger with two patties of course and most of the offered toppings. The burger was cooked as I like it, with copious amounts of toppings. It was a bit messy and took some skill to eat but it was delicious. I got the fries, which have a unique flavor I rarely find elsewhere. Crispy, yet firm. It's a cross between steak fry and a normal fry with the potato skin still on. Very flavorful and not too heavily salted. Overall, I think this place isn't your typical burger joint. It is THE place for a delicious, juicy, thick, meaty, and topped burger. Growing up with in n out no burger will ever come close but I've settled for five guys when I want a quick burger. Everything's always great when I preorder on my way there. Foods always ready maybe a few minutes after i walk in, But honestly the fries are ALWAYS soggy. Like I go home & put them in the oven. Wednesday 1/20 I stopped by around 2/3pm, super sweet African American female prepared my food. My French fries were perfect I was pleasantly surprised. The floor was soooo greasy I had to ice skate on the floor because I was afraid to take steps for fear of falling. The tables were dirty too. Had to wash it myself. This is a good burger place. There is however many burger places around. I did enjoy going here and the food was good. It was a little difficult to figure out who's order was who's though. We had a party of 8 which is probably a bit unusual, but we had to unwrap everything to figure out what was what. There also are not many choices on the menu. Okay, I'm not HUUUUGE on burgers, it takes a certain mood. But when I get that mood, Five Guys is my new go-to place. This one, lucky for me, was put within a 10 minute walk (2 minute drive) of my house, so if I feel like being fat and pounding some greasy food, I can walk it off before and after! My first trip here I ordered a bacon cheese burger, I was so excited at all the things you could put on it for free that I think I listed 2/3 of what was available, as well as a side of cajun fries due to word of mouth. Now, let me say one thing...I'm not a big fry guy. In fact...I hate most fries I eat, with the exception of Arby's Curly fries (Although they recently started messing those up). And since I hate everything else on Arby's menu, I very rarely eat fries, so this was a pretty big step for me, one I don't regret. The fries were put in a container, and the rest in the bag, I could see the grease forming on the bag as I waited for my burger, and I was instantly regretting the order. Burger was wrapped up, tossed in the bag, and I sat down to eat. I was worried about the amount of liquid spots on the bag and was kicking myself in the butt, but I grabbed a single, lonely fry anyways, and tossed it into my mouth. Instantly I regretted NOTHING. It tasted perfect, felt perfect, just the right amount of spice, cooked the perfect amount of time. Perfect tenderness. Perfect crisp. These fries were PERFECT. After devouring most of the fries in a matter of minutes I remembered I still had that massive burger in the bag and pulled it out. It weighed quite a bit from all the extras, and I could tell it was going to be a messy eat. I prepared myself with a stack on napkins and dug in to the burger. The burger itself was pretty good. Not a 10/10 but certainly about a 7 or 7.5. It came with two beef patties which I wasn't expecting, but enjoyed greatly. Not much else can be said, a good burger is a good burger. If you hate grease with a fiery passion, this place probably isn't for you, but if you don't mind it give this place a try. The restaurant is clean, service is good, soda machine has tons of options, and portions are generous. Pros : +Good burgers (Not the best in the area though) +Amazing fries (I hate fries so I could be wrong as I'm no 'fry expert') +Clean environment +Good service +Free refills & good food portions are good for cost efficiency Cons : - Very greasy. What else can I say but Five Guys? I am dead serious when I say that this place is one of the best places to get a burger in the area. The options for the menu items are few but the toppings you can put on your burger or hot dog are pretty much plentiful. The classic fries are greasy, salty but so delicious its just a heart attack waiting to happen. Get the small fry if you don't want that much as a large fry is HUGE! Not even my family of four could devour all of them before we got full. This branch inside is the typical Five Guys style with the complementary peanuts, tables by the windows, and my personal favorite, the soda machine which on that device, a few clicks of the button, will allow you to pick a variety of possible flavors for a certain drink, and it can get quite addicting. Five Guys, how I love thee. I absolutely love Five Guys burgers, and their fries. The portions are huge, the free peanuts are yummy, and the fries are so good. This location also has those new, nifty Coke machines that can make some crazy number of different sodas. One thing I love is the diversity of the toppings. They offer mushrooms! I love that! The bacon cheeseburger has never disappointed me. They also have malt vinegar for your fries, which is one of my favorite condiments. In general, Five Guys has never disappointed me. It's filling, not too hard on the wallet, it has a clean, and cute environment, and a fast service. It's a great last minute decision restaurant or somewhere to go with the whole family. Overall, an excellent meal for a decent price.. The music, from AC/DC to Jimi Hendrix, was cranked up to 11, making conversation difficult.
