The good: the food was really good. I had the boneless pork rib sandwich which was excellent. The onion rings were really good too. Also the workers were very good. The bad: I paid $5.49 or $5.79 for the side of onion rings. There were six onion rings total. Really? Almost a dollar/ring? Something is wrong here. read more

My family and I came in to try this new location in Rochester and were really excited to try it! The staff here was super friendly and agreed at this right away! We made our orders on the mobile kiosk . We ordered french fries with cheese sauce on the side a holiday cookie shake, which is sugar cookie, frozen custard top with whipped cream and sprinkles, a big Shack and a regular Shack burger. Everything was delicious, but I do have to say that I ordered my burger well done and I noticed it wasn't, but that's okay. I also really like in Henrietta that they have a drive-through, but they're lacking here in Greece which is sad. I hope to come back soon and try there sticky coffee, pudding shake that sounded really good. They were out of it at the time we went. read more

First experience with shake shack ever. Found it to be okay, nothing amazing. We were greeted by a lovely girl who asked if we were paying cash or credit. I don't even know what I was ordering..... but she explained to me that if I'm paying with cash I should order at the register, if I'm paying with card, I should use the kiosk. There are four kiosks nothing irritates me more than these kiosks everywhere you go now. Where is the Customer service??? Anyhow, I asked the same young lady what this "shack sauce" was like, she has said it's hard to explain, it's mayo base with some paprika in it. She said it's kind of like chipotle sauce. I asked if it was smoky? She said that I would have to try it myself. Dang, if it literally didn't taste like mayonnaise with paprika. I gotta tell you. I was really disappointed in its lack of flavor. Maybe because we're all used to an orangey looking sauce having more flavor to it? Anyway, I ordered a cheeseburger with my specified toppings and the shack sauce on the side. My burger came out with tomatoes on it, which I did NOT order. Glad I could easily pull them off. I do wish I asked for extra pickles because I could hardly taste the ones that were on there. I had initially asked for Mayo on my burger and the cashier pointed to the Mayo packets on the counter. I also asked for water and she pointed to the paper cups and water dispenser at the counter. ROOM TEMPERATURE WATER..... ugh, no thanks. Had to ask for a side of ice. I heard a customer at the next table over talking at the about onion rings but I did not see them on the menu board. I also saw a photo of a French onion burger but no price on that either. My total was. $12.40... The cashier asked me if I was paying with cash or card and I said cash and I handed her the $12.45. She proceeded to ask me if this was exact change??? (Do these kids not know how to count cash?). So anyway, I told her no, there will be five cents change and I headed her off and I said and I'll take the receipt, please. Driving by, I saw Shake Shack. What? I am dreaming, here in Greece, and the next day I went to that NYC institution. The place is brand new. I ordered the French Onion Burger, Fries & Root Beer Float. The food was brought to my table, service was very attentive, the kids came a couple of times to check on me. The burger is delicious, soupy. It comes inside a sleeve that allows you to eat without messing with your fingers. Clever. Crinkle French Fries with no salt as requested. Catchup was supposed to come with utensil, but it was missing, and I ate the fries plain. The Root Beer Float with a dome opening that allows you to sip with a straw until it's safe to uncover and spoon the ice cream. A youthful moment reminiscent of those soda counter diners in The City No drive-thru pick-up true to the original. Love it. My renewed spot to go for a juicy burger. read more

My first time today. Yes, I had "Shake Shack" burgers at Citi Field watching the Mets, but I've never been to a stand alone location. Until today. Simply the best fast casual burger on the planet. Hand's down. Fresh, tasty, juicy. I'll never-ever-ever go to a Five Guys or alike again if there is a Shake Shack within 10 miles. Service was personable and attentive while also incorporating some kiosk technology for ordering if you choose. Made tipping awkward as all the food runner did was bring me my tray. I could have done that. Regardless, FANTASTIC. BURGERS AMAZING Saw the Vienna Beef hotdog on the menu so tried it too. Was fine. I was trying to bring myself back to Portillos in Chicago. Didn't happen. Surprised they don't have the Chicago dog bun and fixings. Oh well. Burger and shakes. Burgers and shakes. Phenomenal. read more

My wife and I decided to stop in and get some ice cream and a shake at the new Shake shack. There's no drive-through so we went into the building and there was just two other people in there since it was around eight at night. There were three or four people preparing food in the back, but nobody at the counter. There are four kiosk so it was pretty easy to order using their tablets. I ordered one of their signature chocolate shakes and my wife got a double size, chocolate and vanilla custard in a dish. You enter in your name and take a number, and even though ours was to take out you go sit down and wait for them to deliver. Since there was only two other people in the restaurant, we figured it would be pretty quick to put together a shake, and an ice cream in a dish. We must've sat between five and 10 minutes waiting for them to get the order ready. I did see a chocolate shake, sitting behind the counter for for a good five minutes. Then I saw a dish of the custard, sitting there too. After a few minutes, I walked up to the counter, kind of confused why they didn't call my name or number. Note that both of these items are prone to melting so you don't want them sitting there too long. After a minute of standing there at the counter, a girl said "I will bring your order to you. " I should've said I think this is my order right in front of you, but I didn't. I went and sat back down and a few minutes later they brought over that shake and that custard. Since the custard was a double, it had one of those bubble tops on it. But if my wife took the top off, it would've run all down the sides so I didn't let her open it up in the car lol. Also the spoon they give you For takeout doesn't fit through the little hole in the top. It's about a two minute drive to my house from there. So we got in the house, she took off the top and as we suspected, it was melting all down the sides. Anyway, my shake was really good and her custard, despite being more soup than ice cream, also was very tasty. So the taste of the food makes me give it 3 stars. But their checkout system could use some work. I don't know how they do when they have a big crowd in there. I would say that it's pretty pricey too for Rochester standards. I've had shake shack in New York City and expect those type of prices down there, but not here. To be honest, I will probably pick Abbott's over Shake shack in the future. read more

I have been loving their dollar drinks on the app! You really can't beat the price. The restaurant is always clean, and the employees are great. The wait times can be long at times, but I just make sure to order ahead and wait a little while before going inside. It's a nice place to catch up with friends! read more

The place is brand new and clean. However, there is NO drive-thru which is a major issue when I have the kids all under 4! The prices are outrageous and for 3 adults it came to just under $69.00! There are no kids meals and a small honest brand apple juice box is $3.49! What planet are you on? Food is good but does not justify the pricing! read more
