You will pass the playground area (No, you didn't pass up Howlin Bird or parking area). Once you enter through the doors in the back, you'll see a counter where a friendly staff member will greet you; taking your order. You will be given the option to eat outside or inside with a number locating where your food will be brought when ready. The OH Chicken Sandwich is delicious, but I won't say it is better or worse than other similar chicken sandwiches other places. The tator tots were crispy and seasoned. The star of the show this visit was the peanut butter chocolate shake was had peanut butter morsels in it. This place was busy during a weekday during lunch time both in the dining area and the bar counter. The fountain drinks have a drink station to serve yourself.

The Good: great…read moretasting chicken: Danielle had the chicken & waffles and i had a 4 piece meal w/ fried Brussel sprouts. we both agreed that the chicken was delicious and perfectly fried/crispy. the chicken fingers were also huge. i was worried that 4 chicken fingers wasn't going to be enough to fill me up but i was full by the time I'd eaten 2. each finger was the width of 2 fingers you'd get somewhere else. beverage options: i'm diabetic so i stick to diet/zero sugar sodas or teas. not only did they have diet pepsi, but had diet dr. pepper as well. score! and that cold soda was needed... The Bad (or Bad-ish): Howlin Sauce: incredibly hot/spicy for just a sriracha based sauce. i eat lots of hot and spicy dishes. it wasn't that it tasted bad - in fact, quite the opposite - but it scorched my tongue like nothing has in a while. No Chill (ha): Danielle's chicken and waffles was swimming in syrup so by her waffles were soggy as hell by the time she'd finished. she still loved the meal and just said she'd ask for it on the side next time. Messy: when we arrived, we saw a number of parties leaving one after another. i assume this would be the reason that most of the tables were covered in dirty dishes and empty cups and glasses. since you order at the counter and seat yourself, servers are not around to check on you or the state of the restaurant. so, tables remained messy for a little while before they were cleaned up. Ordering: i don't like the ordering at the counter and lack of server service. the place doesn't look to be set up that way. you'd think there would be servers as it's kinda like a larger bar. instead you order, sit, wait for your food and you're on your own. it's a little like BW3 was back in the day. Slow: seemed to take a long time for chicken fingers. not a huge deal, but i wouldn't have guessed it'd take so long. i don't want to give the impression, though, that it was more bad than good. the food definitely outweighed the negatives. it's a long way from home but i'd go back for sure. i'd like to try some wings and some other sides as well as some of their appetizers.

In the past several years, ownership has changed hands 3-4 times and they've gotten further from what made them so good each time. I visited today and it will be my last attempt. There are several things you can do to ruin a great burger and they seem intent on checking all of the boxes. Weird, grainy and overly sweet "house made" ketchup: Check Oversized bun that is dense and almost stale? Check Horrible locally made pickles? Check Hopping on board with the weird trend of putting some of the condiments on the top bun and some on the bottom bun? Check I could go on, but nothing about the food at this place resembles anything they served during the glory days that allowed them to stay in business for multiple decades. Some people don't understand the concept of "If it ain't broke..". Too many Food Network style ideas with very poor execution. As soon as I saw the word "confit" in the description of today's special burger, I should have turned around and left.

Fries were good and I ate them with malt vinegar. It's an old diner style, very cute and historic. They have amazing bottled soda. We tried the black cherry, root beer and cream soda. I don't like cream soda but my friend who does said it was really good. Both root beer and black cherry were great. The lady working was sweet and told us about some of the history of the place. She was fun to talk to and nice. Only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is I left hungry and spent $16 on a burger, fries and a bottle of soda.

Best Burger? More like worst (near worst) burger. I've been wanting to try Best Burger for a while…read morenow. I was debating on whether to categorize it as a place to try: just me, me and someone else, or the whole family together. I'm glad I tried it by myself because I wasn't impressed at all. I happened to Door Dash Best Burger. The Door Dash experience was great and none of my comments based on the DD experience will be reflected in my comments since those are uncontrollables outside of the Best Burger experience. With that being said, I had high hopes for Best Burger from reading reviews and being recommended it over & over. I asked friends recently on social media about their favorite burger and most of them recommended Best Burger. My order was: Bacon Cheeseburger with these customization changes (no onion, add ketchup, add mayo). I also love tator tots so I ordered a side of them. The burger was the blandest burger I've ever had. I was expecting their Best Burger sauce and the charbroil flavor to swipe me off my feet. The burger Pattie's were bland and I don't recall tasting any sauces whatsoever even if they were present. The burger had no seasoning or flavor, I'm shocked. The tator tots tasted like your ordinary Tator tots from another basic place even like Sonic. No seasoning!!! I'm sooo glad I didn't order for the whole family or take them because it was a big disappointment. Before tip, the order being Door Dashed was $21. Save your money!

Service was friendly and the right amount of attentive, making sure our water glasses were full and checking in on our party. Food options are mostly bar/pub type food (understandably so) but they have a couple of salads. Not a ton of vegetarian options unfortunately, so I ended up eating appetizers and tried their fish sandwich. That said, the fried pickles were amazing (they put dill in the batter which I loved) and they came with an excellent dipping sauce. The onion rings were good but super greasy and the breading was a little thicker than I would prefer. The giant soft pretzel was SO GOOD...I wish I'd gotten a photo of that but we demolished it! Fish sandwich was decent but nothing to write home about...pretty thick breading there too but the fish was good and it came with a huge serving of fries. All in all pretty tasty food and I'd go back for sure, just not a place to go if you are looking for health ;) Thank you for a nice evening, Caston & Main!

We all got salads or turkey clubs so it wasn't like I came back with hot food that had turned cold over time, but still. No fun. Anyway, the interior is clean and very sports bar-esque. I liked the pretty lamps hanging about. There are loads of tvs and seating and a massive bar! There are lots of upcoming events and specials on flyers/posters everywhere and I was intrigued by the dueling pianos event advertised for next month. As for the food, this review and rating is for my 2nd and 3rd time eating their food - a salad from today and a skimpy as heck protein bowl from a few weeks ago. My greek power bowl delivery from a few weeks ago was nearly 20 bucks and was missing the dressing and veggie medley! The fish on top was overcooked while the chickpeas were undercooked! I ate it almost because I was hungry but I wouldn't ever get that again. As for today's meal, a tavern salad with extra chicken and extra tomatoes, well... I am glad I also didn't pay for this because they definitely did not give me double chicken nor extra tomatoes. Also, they are very skimpy on the veggies and cheese overall. And yes, the chicken was dry. Again! Like my pizza from my review earlier this year! One day, I'll learn my lesson and not order chicken and CHECK the portions on my food before I leave the restaurant. So yeah, I am lowering my review from 4 stars to 3 and even that feels generous. But I would like to try a meal there while dining in. The vibes seem pretty cool!
