Our server was very nice but not paying attention at all and the quality of the food was not good. They were out of everything and the server did not tell us. There was no avocado on the club sandwich and the server didn't say anything, there was a chunk of bacon floating in our water shown in the photo and we were on the waitlist for 45 minutes, and then got a text that if we didn't show up in 5 minutes we would be taken off. We got there immediately and then we're told we had to wait more and proceeded to wait for 20 more minutes. After we were done eating, we tried getting out servers attention several times and she continued to check all the other tables in our section except ours and her section was not even busy. The food here was good, healthy, and wholesome. We went here for Mother's Day and were given an estimated hour wait time for a table. We expected this, as brunch time on Mother's Day is usually very busy for any place. Everyone enjoyed their food - though I did wish the portions were bigger in my case. I informed staff of my dairy allergy and they were extremely kind in checking the bread for dairy and informing me. I did not have an allergic reaction to the food - and I am very pleased with that! It was also incredibly clear that our server - wish I had gotten their name - was very experienced as a server, and knew the menu thoroughly. This was great for us as we had never been there before. Fast casual style brunch and breakfast. It's a chain, but a well enough done one. The wait staff is attentive and prompt. The parking is easy enough to come by. As far as the food goes it's a major step above IHoP but it can't approach The Blue Door. So if you want something quicker and more affordable than Blue Door, but higher quality than, say...Bob Evans. This is the right call. (PS the coffee is quite good). This First Watch has a much different air quality feel than the Fairlawn location. It is a great effect! As a DoorDash driver, I appreciate the well conceived pickup process-- usually. Today was awful. Bad Sunday management. A culture of fun for employees rather than customer service. I had the veggie burger (seasoned brown rice with carrots, onions, mushrooms, and peppadew peppers - you had me there!). A solid 9.5 on my veggie burger scale, it was moist and perfectly seasoned yet did not fall apart. Served with fresh avocado mash, tomato and onion on a brioche bun, it was yummy. The lemon dressed side salad finished it off very nicely. Had one of their juices - orange, beet, ginger, turmeric and it was very refreshing. Husband had the salad/half sandwich combo with a Cobb salad and roast beef/havarti sandwich - they were a great combo. Today, the food was ice cold upon delivery dry as if they pulled eggs and waffles out of the freezer and put them on the plate before sending them out immediately. The meat was lukewarm. Things were resolved and I'm sure this was just an off morning but it was disappointing. The hostess was drinking Starbucks coffee (openly, it was sitting on the hostess stand!). This was bizarre and unprofessional. Especially as I think FW's coffee is just fine as is. Update: 12/13/19: This location seems to just be off their game. Massive failure in coordinating app reservations. I reserved a spot about 30 minutes ahead of arrival. No wait time was given. Checked in with hostess upon arrival. Was put on the wait list only then. Again, no wait time given. After a total waiting outside (COVID policy) in the rain, for about an hour. (I even walked next door to the coffee shop for a coffee). I then walked just up the street to an equally busy restaurant, and was served in minutes. After a total of around 3hours wait, I received a text stating that my table at first watch was now ready. It's not likely that I'll make it...nor will I expect to waste another entire morning and into the afternoon dealing with incompetent host/hostess and B.S. app reservations. The wait staff has always been incredibly kind and the food is scrumptious. I wouldn't say there's anything surprising or unusual here, but First Watch gives a deliciously modern spin on some classic dishes. I've had their Market Hash and the Smoked Salmon Benedict, both of which were flavorful and hit the spot. Everything is fresh, hot, and each time their poached eggs were cooked perfectly! I especially love the hash plates; there's nothing more satisfying than getting a perfectly balanced forkful of potatoes, mushrooms, shallots, spinach, and egg yolk. Mmmmmmm. I added a side of sausage to top it all off. I have yet to try their sandwiches, but I've had bites of the Belgian Waffle and that is just as flavor-packed as the other dishes. I've been to this First Watch location twice and each time the food was impeccable. I got the Cobb Salad this time around. Everything on my salad was fresh! Nothing looked like it had been sitting out for a while or discolored. The presentation was beautiful. Not only was the food fantastic, our server, Matt was excellent. From the moment he greeted us to the time we go our check, he was just what we needed. He was kind, outgoing, funny and asked us if everything was to our liking. We were able to get to know Matt for a bit, and learn about his education and what he is off to do next! What a talented young man, but most importantly, First Watch - you should be very grateful for someone like Matt, who provides excellent service to your patrons.
