What can I say. This is a great burger place but something needs to be done about their prices. Went by there on the 4th, one of the few places open. We arrived at 9 pm kinda late but they close at 10 pm. They only had a couple people working so it was painfully slow. The order was wrong anyway. The burger was good and fries better but it was very expensive. I was waiting in the car for the order and spouse was waiting inside for the food. I can't believe how slow it was. I like coming here ever now and then! Fries and burgers are great, so is the sweet tea. Never had a problem with the staff, they have all been nice when I've went. Enjoy munching on the peanuts while I wait for the food. You may have to wait for your food for a few minutes because they make the food after you order, which is great because you know it's fresh. We love ordering pickup and delivery with Five Guys! It always hits the spot whether we are starving for a good burger or having a hungover weekend. My husband loves the double patties on the regular burger, I prefer the little burger and give us all the cheese! You can add any toppings you want which is great to customize your own perfect burger! We also love the fries they are made from fresh potatoes and you can tell. This is a great place to take the family for a burger and fries. Everyone is able to order their burger the way they want it and the fries here are fantastic. Having the Coke FreeStyle machines is just an added bonus. The restaurant is very clean and the staff is fast and efficient. This is one chain that is very consistent so you get exactly what you expect, I always enjoy eating here. Today we ate here after church with the family and it was a winner yet again. Keep in mind, when you order a cheeseburger it will come with two hamburger patties. If you want one patty you have to order the little cheeseburger with the rest of the children. The fry order is huge, seriously get a medium or large fry for the whole family to share, also ask for light cajun spice as full cajun can be crazy salty. As always I ordered a cheeseburger with lettuce, mayonnaise and grilled jalapeños, winner. If we're talking fast food, this place probably has the best burgers. The meat is nice and juicy but the buns are not toasted so they get soggy. The toppings are also great too and don't cost extra unless you get bacon. The Cajun fries here are cut fresh and you can tell. Went there the other day and they double charged my card.... none the less I wanted a refund and they said they would not do it there and I asked to speak to a manager. I did not get the managers full name but he introduced himself as Perez, he smelled like marijuana... I can see how this place has been being run and it is appalling that they can have someone that is supposed to be an example for other employees not only breaking what I assume is against company code of conduct but the law as well. Big, juicy, sloppy, and I mean the good kind of sloppy burgers :) I love the simplicity of ordering, and what I mean by this is you have cheeseburgers, fries, or hot dogs that's it. You have a list of FREE toppings or you can go "All the way", which means lettuce, mayo, pickles, mushrooms, grilled onions, ketchup and mustard (that's how I like it). I love the huge peanut bags in the middle of the restaurant that you get to scoop out and eat while waiting for your food! It doesn't take too long to make but you'll want those peanuts to hold ya over, I mean they are creating a masterpiece back there, it takes time! I ordered online which was quick and simple no complaints at all. Food was ready when I picked my order up. As always food is delicious but fries were waay too salty, which is out of the norm. Speaking of fries, one tip for first timers (something I didn't know at first), when ordering fries, a small fry will feed 2 people. They fill one cup of fries and then overload with another scoop in the bag! It's a genius idea! Very friendly service, the guys had great manners and when I walked in all the guys yelled out welcoming me to the restaurant. My daughter and I were up from N.C. to go to her orthodontist to get her braces off. The denist she sees told her to go to five guys that there food was great, but he said he eats at the one on Pellham Rd has not ate at the one we went to. So we tried it and for 7.59 for a cheeseburger and the chesse just throwed on there and not melted even a tiny bit, she said that burger was so dry, the lettuce looked dead and old. The fries oh my so much salt it was like eating a salt lick. The hot dog I ordered was 4.19 for a hot dog that was hard, oh lord they left that pn a grill or flat top and forgot it, hard and dry. The price of all this was 19.72 and for the food to be that bad that hurts to have a chunck out your wallet and then to top it off I spent the next 30 mins in the bathroom. I honestly can not recommended this particular five guys to eat at. Oh p.s. I mentioned it to the girl who took our order and she said the food is suppose to be like that. No Way. The french fries are often small broken pieces and scraps. So, I quit ordering large fries and only get a small. Today they were so salty they were inedible. The fries look like someone's back if they laid down on the sand at the beach. I took the fries back up to the counter, explained, and showed the staff how covered in salt they were. I asked if they would make me another fry. After waiting a while, they gave me fries that were just as salty, if not more so the second time. I like this Five Guys a lot. It's only a once-in-a-while thing for me, though, because the food is REALLY expensive! Basically, a bacon cheeseburger with fries and a drink runs you almost $14! Fuddruckers isn't even that pricey, I don't think. I get that burger with jalapeños and mustard. It's a really delicious burger! Good staff as well; a cook commented on my KISS shirt. I must say that I'm not a huge fan of their burgers. To me, the buns are generally "weak" and often fall apart before I finish my burger. Mesyy, messy, messy! The actual patties also are nothing to write home about. No better than the other fried burger joints in the area. I will give them points for generosity, and that's probably a big reason people come here. The fries are generally more plentiful for the price than competitors. I don't like them as much as some other places, but that's just one person's preference over another's. The free and plentiful peanuts are a nice touch. A bit greasy but sometimes you just want this kind of cheese burger. You will get more fries than you could ever eat. They have more options for a burger than most places also. 5 Guys is one of my more frequented hamburger joints of the fast food burger chains. Their burgers are pretty decent, but what usually gets me is their fries,and their service. (Today,I'm having the Cajun Fries, and I'm not a big fan of them. We enjoy eating from here. They have great food. The past two times we went in and ordered takeout. The burgers were jam up great! We ordered Cajun fries. Which are usually great! Except the past two times. We watched the same guy each time double the seasoning on the Cajun fries. He seasoned them when the fries came up and then walked over and seasoned them again. They were so hot and spicy you couldn't eat them. They lit us up terribly. We like spicy food. But, that was over the top hot. Hopefully, they can get that corrected. This is a good Five Guys shop. The peanuts are fresh, the staff is friendly and relatively quick. They have 2 of the super duper computer Coke machines for drink service. These are good for providing all the options but one of them was out of the lemonade type drinks last time I was in. Their tea is fresh and tasty. Out of 3 burgers on lettuce, I've gotten 2 that were expertly/perfectly done and one that was goofy. This is definitely an issue with the 5 Guys burgers as they are so incredibly juicy that a bad wrap can be a real mess. 2 out of 3 ain't bad as the song says but I'd say little inferior Hardee's gets these lettuce wrapped burgers perfect every time. Perhaps they need to improve training for this feat. Other than that, these are some of the best burgers around from the excellent quality real beef patties and the nice cook on them to the tasty, fresh toppings. On lettuce, they are one of the best LCHF faster food options around. This Wade Hampton location has some outdoor tables with a decent view of some kudzu. read more
