Very poorly run and terrible customer service from Management--Had a simple online order mistake on May 16th, received a little cheeseburger when I ordered a regular cheeseburger, left a complaint through their app and received the following email on May 18th: Hello, my name is Dallis. I'm the Gm here at Five Guys in Hamburg, reaching out regarding the complaint you left online. I'm so sorry they got your order wrong. I can re-make the order for you or I can mail out 2 $10 comp cards. Just let me know which one you prefer or if there is a different solution I can provide for you. My reply: Thank you-the 2 $10 comp cards would be sufficient. I appreciate the prompt response; we have never had an issue at your establishment before so I know this was just an unfortunate mistake. Yesterday Five Guys celebrated their 40th birthday and the corporate had a BOGO hamburger offer providing you log in and order on line. I am a regular customer at this place and order regularly. I love the Burgers so I was glad to see them have a give back. I usually order for a lot a people from the college I work at and never had a problem ordering on line with the app. Well yesterday tried just to order on line for the special and tried for several hours and the app always worked until the check out phase where it crashed every time. I started a little after noon and tried to every hour till about 6 pm. I wasn't doing anything and figured what the heck. So after no completion I decided to take a short ride to the place to see. So I get there and they had about 20 people waiting for orders. As I waited in line a couple in front of me a couple asked about the BOGO. The order taker told them no because it was online or no BOGO. They ordered any way. So I did the same thing no BoGo sorry but no way. I later found out the manager just shut off the online ordering system to make more money. Great Job screwing your regular customers by taking advantage of them. Corporate 5 guys don't run a promotion that is not going to work. If you want do some loyalty program but don't let the franchise owners SCAM the customers. Placed an online order with my co workers for lunch. The app was easy to use and has every option available as well as it was easy to select the time I would like to pick it up. I got to five guys at 5:50p for a 6p pickup. I didn't like that I didn't have the option to say I was there or on the way on the app so they could've started preparing the fries and shakes that were ordered but it didn't take them too much time to prepare it, the issue is I was on a time crunch but I made it back to work just in time.. I ordered a cheeseburger with no bun and it was delicious. I didn't feel like I was losing anything by removing the bun and I will more than likely order it this way going forward. Placed an order online around 12:35 for a 1:15 pickup time. My boyfriend went inside to pick it up and went to the counter and said that he was picking up the order, they said ok. He did not get the food until 1:45. He was the first person in there at 1:05 to notify them about the order and was somehow the last person to leave which is completely insane. I've never had an issue with five guys until today there is no reason as to why he should've been waiting for almost 40 minutes when I placed the order 30 minutes before the actual pickup time. Once he was handed his food he said that this was bullshit that he waited for so long and the lady said nothing. Terrible service. Terrible ambiance. Tried this restaurant for the first time, using delivery by Door Dash. We had heard great things about them and felt it was time. We ordered 2 bacon hot dogs, a large fries and a large cajun fries. The food arrived quickly and the temperature was as expected. When we opened the 2 bags, we were disappointed to find that the regular fries had been just dumped in the bag on top of the hot dogs. This was the same in both bags but the cajun fries were in a cup. The hot dogs were cooked split in half, different but clearly stated in the menu and well prepared. The buns were mushy. We expected softer than usual because of the foil wrapping but not as bad as these were. Toppings were exactly as requested and very plentiful. The fries were well prepared and, also as described in the menu, crispy on the outside and soft inside. The cajun fries were prepared in the same manner and the cajun spices were tasty but not overpowering. While the fries were great the hot dogs were disappointing. Since they are not their primary menu item, we will be giving them another try by ordering burgers instead of hot dogs. Until we do all I can say is we will never again order their hot dogs, especially for delivery. read more

I spent years hating on Five Guys before relocating to Buffalo a year and a half back, and here I am grabbing a burger at a second Five Guys location.....what happened to me? Anyway, I stopped here on Sunday before catching a movie down the street and I was super duper impressed by my visit. This location is pretty big and offers plenty of seating and parking for everyone. I ended up ordering a bacon cheeseburger along with a side of French fries (a Small is big enough to feed two people). The burger was actually really, really good and I would even say that it was awesome. The fries are (I think) dipped in peanut oil or something and were really good also. Overall, Five Guys is a dang good burger for fast food. The service here is usually pretty fast and although I would say the prices are maybe a tad steep for some things, but in the end it's worth it for the satisfaction. read more

Five guys is always such a nice "fast food" place to eat. The staff is very friendly, The weight isn't too long, they have lots of options to choose from, food is delicious and so are the milkshakes! I purchased the bacon cheeseburger and it was perfect! Good well and everything tasted very fresh. I also go a strawberry milkshake! It had little chunks of strawberries in it and it was very filling! The only reason I am not giving five guys is due to the prices. Not impressed but need to mention that I don't eat red meat. Came with family that does. Chose to eat the veggie sandwich which tasted okay but wasn't worth the cost. Canned mushrooms (yuck) but the other veggies seemed fresh. Overall, the price is high for "fast food" and the place needed a good sweep and mop. I love this place! I wish I can give it a 5 star review, but I cant, and I'll explain why. Once you walk in, it smells delicious! The staff ALWAYS look extremely busy, but they work with a smile! I personally think it's weird to smile while working, but the small simple things like that make my visit more enjoyable. The food was delicious! Perfectly done and done FAST! Dinner rush was dying and an employee started cleaning the doors. I have so much respect for places that are always staying busy! Any other teenage worker would just pull out their phone and text once they were able to catch a breath. The reason why this place didnt get their 5th star is the prices. I've been to other locations throughout my travels, but never went to a Five Guys locally and that all ended! While out shopping, my wife and I got hungry and before heading home - I mentioned Five Guys - she said she wanted to try them - so we did! The parking, which is free, might at times be a bit hard to find a spot, but with so many of the places closed - you should be ok! The place itself, including the bathrooms were clean - at least clean enough! Staff were ok - not the friendliest I've ever encountered, but they were ok - however, they were not good enough to get my order right, which was extremely difficult - a hamburger with just ketchup and relish. My wife had a cheeseburger with more crap on it - but I got a cheeseburger with ketchup and relish on it - a more expensive burger I guess - if you love cheese! I ate it - like I said - HUNGRY! The selection is exactly what you would expect from Five Guys - hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs AND AMAZING FRIES! When you order a large fry - it would serve four - so be careful - servings here are quite generous! Soda and drinks - you get them yourself - might take you a little longer to figure out how to get what you want, but at least once you do - refills are free - get 'em yourself! And that is no mean trick, since fast food restaurants around the country seem to be cutting down on portion size while simultaneously raising prices. I'm not suggesting a meal at Five Guys will be cheap; the average meal here will typically run at least 12 bucks. What I AM saying is you will more than get what you pay for. What's to love about their burgers? They're hot and incredibly juicy without being utterly saturated in grease. The rolls are fresh, and the selection of toppings and condiments will satisfy even the finickiest burger eater. As for their fries, you can't beat a french fry cooked in peanut oil if you ask me. The taste is absolutely amazing, and certainly enhanced by the fact that they cut their own potatoes fresh every day. Here's a tip; order some extra fries to bring home with you, then let them get room temperature cold sitting on the counter. Later when you want a snack, dig in and experience the FULL explosion of peanut oil cooked fries. For some reason the taste is enhanced as the fries cool off. One last thing; the staff at this particular location are incredibly friendly, even funny. They really work hard to enhance your dining experience. On the day I visited they were from Washington. I love the pop machine where you can pick your flavor. I always get the cherry vanilla diet coke. Overall food is awesome. After hearing all the hype about this place I had to try it. I see absolutely no reason to go back a second time. First , the food was definitely sub-par. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and fries. If I am paying almost $7 I would expect the burgers to be cooked to order, but no, they are all cooked the same, there is no option for rare, medium or well-done. The bacon was also way overcooked, almost to the point of being charcoal. I ordered lettuce on the burger and it was completely wilted, not from the heat of the burger, it was just old lettuce. Let's move onto the fries. A good french fry should be crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. These were completely mushy and limp with little to no flavor. Now, the place itself. It is a fast food restaurant where you order at the counter and get a number. You pick your food up when your number is called. All of the food is served in to go bags even if you planned to eat in the dining room. Very cheap! This meal of a bacon cheeseburger, fries and a coke cost me over $12.00. That is WAY overpriced for a fast food restaurant that is too cheap to even provide a tray for you to use. For that money I can go to a sit-down restaurant and be served at my table. I would also get significantly better food. Overall, the food here was bad and overpriced. The dining room is spartan and cheap looking. I would definitely not go bakc. read more

I've been to this store before, but not in a while, and it was usually one of the better locations in Buffalo. I came in tonight and while it was ok, it was not as good as I have had before. The fries I got were not that great. I would say that the oil definitely needed to be changed. Gives the fries a stale taste with a darker tint as does not crisp them up as they should be. The burger was pretty decent, though I took that home to eat so that always gets a bit soggy quickly. A major point is the Coke Freestyle machine, but both of them that they have were out of approximately half or more of the combinations. It was quite busy for 7:30 at night, the staff were friendly, but I will consider maybe not coming at this time with these things lacking. read more

First time ever at Five Guys today for lunch. I thought it was very good, although pricey. I had a cheesburger and my daughter had a cheese dog, and we shared the fries. The food was excellent, and the wait staff was very friendly and knew the menu down pat, the guy who was working the counter even came out to the floor and asked us how everything was, and even offered to refill my drink, obviously not your average fast food restaurant.
