I haven't been home in YEARS. Louie's is a must when visiting my hometown. The open chicken souvlaki is by far one of my favs! Great service from Victoria. Overall a great experience.

Louie's is a classic WNY staple and I've usually only had good things to say about them, but my most recent visit wasn't ideal. The visit started off well, the workers were very friendly and our server was very sweet. My boyfriend and I both ordered milkshakes with a burger and fries, our usual, and carried on. When we got our food, the fries were overly cooked compared to usual and a bit hard. My burger started off good, until midway through when I realized something was moving on my plate - two tiny green bugs. My boyfriend and I googled it and found they were aphids, which must of came from the lettuce, but it really grossed me out and I could no longer eat afterwards. It made me question if they had even washed their lettuce.... After that, I had to go to the bathroom to sit as I got pretty nauseous. While aphids are harmless in general, it was still yucky to me and left me with a bad taste in my mouth. My boyfriend alerted our server and she was extremely apologetic, comping the burger on our bill - which we appreciated. Overall, I usually have a great experience at Louies, but this time the food was not good and my boyfriend and I both left dissatisfied. The workers were great though, so shoutout to them.

I really liked the red hot it was better than I thought it would be. The baklava was just okay I've had better. The place is cool inside has the old diner feel to it. Prices were cheap and service was lightning fast!

Slime dog. Oh so very good

Ordered 6 slim dogs, but 5,1 free. Did curbside pick up.!went well except I will not sign the bill. But they were fast. Had 3 dogs up( mustard, silver diced onions with special texas sauce) they were good!! And 3 more with feta cheese on top of the dogs too. Wow very good. Next time in area I will be in.

Our receipt for the food which was very reasonable.

The hotel im staying at in Buffalo, New York recommend the place. I liked that the place was within walking distance. The restraunt was clean and bright so you can see the menu. I liked that they had a veggie burger. I asked if they could cook my Burger away from the meat. It didn't have a cow burger taste nor was it greasy. The food was diner food but it was convenient, fast and reasonably priced plus it had a good taste. The portion sizes were excellent. The staff was very friendly and if they had ones in my home town I would visit them.

If you've never been to Louie's, you have not lived. My ex wife introduced me to this place when we got married 25+ years ago. They have several locations in the Buffalo area. The closet to me was a stones throw from Rich Stadium in Orchard Park where the Bills play. My ex worked at the original location on E. Delevan in what is now the east side ghetto. Back then, the waitresses had to be able to memorize every order without writing them down. This place is a diner, and I love it! The cooks are very fast; the waitresses are extremely efficient and friendly, and the place is spotless. Perfectly organized, it runs like a clock. But the best thing by far is the food. I could eat everything on the menu, and love it. But in all honesty, my absolute favorite is the Louie's Omlette! It may sound disgusting to some people, but it is tremendous. The official description is: 3 Extra Large Eggs; 2 Texas Red Hots cut up; Silver Onions; w/ cheese, and Louie's Special Greek Sauce. Served with home fries, toast, and jelly. I get it with the sauce on the home fries; Feta cheese on top, and an awesome Chocolate Shake that is malted. If you only ate one meal today, this would foot the bill. Open 24/7, this place is a lifesaver! If you're looking for something fancy, go somewhere else. But if you're looking for good eats served fast, hot, and delicious, look no further.

Receipt. Honestly if it wasn't for my Chicken Finger Salad to take home, my bill would have been under $20

The future looks like Chipotle clones and Cava copies. If you like that future, have fun there. I won't be joining you. It's a good thing the name isn't written backwards otherwise you'd be in Det's. And then there would be Det collectors and you know how mean those guys can be. What to get: Polish! Polish! Polish! I'm not talking about your mani, but your dog! No not that dog, I mean the hot dog you order here! What else: Footlong dog, and I'm not talking about your man, you wish. Anything else: Yes. (shakes like a piece of chocolate). What was that? It's a chocolate shake! The service isn't always great but that can be said about every Ted's. It just depends which one of the 74 teenagers working at the place, that you get serving you. It's quint-essential Buffalo. Not that it's essential to have quints in Buffalo. Twins or triplets will do. Too expensive. But you must visit Ted's at least once to see what you think. Personally we just have cats, but we practice making babies constantly. They're a wonderful place. Their sausages are phenomenal, especially the Polish, the Footlong is great too. You absolutely must try the Polish, it shoots hot juice into my mouth even more expertly than any man I've ever met. It's just so damn delicious. Give it a try and see what I mean. They don't take phone orders (they should). Their Italian sausage is excellent, their burgers are nice, their footlongs and regular dogs are better, and their Polish is the piece-de-resistance, whatever that means. Perhaps you can use it to resist the fascists of new America, they're sadly on Yelp too. I can name them. For a small fee. It's good. Very good. And their chocolate milkshakes (with malt added) are muy excelente, if a little smallente. But also not as expensive as some shakes in the area and every bit as tasty. Ted's always disappoints me price wise. It looks cheap but next thing you know it's more than $10 for more than a snack. But it's excellent so I put up with it. Not a satisfying meal, but a wonderful snack. Which is why Akon did that song "Snack That" which was about Ted's. The Loganberry is also awesome, by the way. Just about twice as sweet as it should be. Made with real sugar. I recommend doing it 1 part water, 1 part Loganberry. Yours Sincerely, Ted Theodore Loganberry

I was visiting and stopped in a for a late dinner and I just say I was surprised that it wasn't a little busier (Friday night at 8pm) however it being in the middle of winter I get it. Service was friendly and quick. My only thing is we ordered 4 glasses of wine and rather than suggest a bottle at price X; we were charged for 4 glasses for about $10 higher than the bottle. Business I guess but that's the difference in different levels of service. The food was as other's have said, not the best, not bad though. We got 2 wraps, the veggie lasagna & the Danny's Steak Sandwich. Besides a toddler in a car seat watching a children's show on one of the TV's. I guess better to show up to work and bring your kid rather than not showing up. The child was quiet, but we really didn't want to listen to a children's show while we ate dinner. The waitress came over shortly after we sat down, brought us chips and salsa & took our drink order. The chips looked homemade and we're good. The salsa reminded us more of a tomato sauce than a salsa; zero spice or much flavor other than tomato. When it came to ordering food I got the birria ramen and wanted a tamale but they were out; my boyfriend ordered a steak quesadilla. I also ordered the Jamaica hibiscus beverage. My ramen was pretty good; lots of meat, which was wonderful! I feel the broth could have had little more flavor. The Jamaica was tasty. My boyfriend enjoyed his quesadilla, but it came out on a paper liner and the cheese resulted it being pretty stuck to the paper. I can't say that we would visit again. Well we had a certificate to use , and it's because of these endless ads from Facebook. The table chips and salsa were dark almost as if over cooked a bit and the salsa was very very mild. We also got the queso and chips. Same chips but the queso was fantastic. Birra ramen came in a quart container, had fantastic flavor and was loaded with chunks of meat that just melted in the mouth. My birra quesadillas were good, fair amount of meat and cheese, a bit bland but the bowl of dipping birra helped redeem it a bit. The chicken wrap was huge, and was basically the same thing as the quesadilla with got just minus the bowl again a very similar flavor as my dish, just presented different Kids nuggets and fries, a solid handful of nuggets and mountain of fries. The little yelper was not impressed, I tried one and agreed ( but let's be honest, nobody is here for nuggets). The mango smoothie was the star of the show. Ice cold and quite refreshing. Also, the younger guy who was bussing tables and running food was incredibly friendly and helpful. After experiencing Mexico City I can definitely say that we don't plan on returning based on cleanliness (idk how they have a 100 score) and "420" odor. The food was good but not good enough to offset the condition of the place.
