They had a huge menu that surprised me but we went for the Texas hots and had to stick to the plan. Pulled into the parking lot by the Buffalo Bills stadium with my elderly father and grabbed a quick meal at Louie's Texas Red Hots, and it was exactly what you want from a classic Texas hots joint. Be careful pulling in, it's steep and you can bottom out easily!! This is one of 4 Western New York locations, and like the others, it delivers the same reliable experience every time. The Texas hots themselves are delicious - snappy Sahlen's dogs, soft rolls, and that signature meat sauce that hits all the right notes. Wish there was a little more meat in the sauce, but when you live out of state, you really can't complain because this is hometown comfort food you've spent your entire life eating. It's comfort food through and through, and you can tell they've been doing this a long time. The staff is friendly and chatty, the kind of place where you get quick service and a bit of banter without any pretense. Inside, it's a no-frills setup: hot dogs, burgers, and breakfast are the stars of the show, and that's exactly what you're here for. The dining area and bathroom were clean, which goes a long way for a spot that sees a lot of traffic, especially being this close to the stadium. I love Louie's. For Breakfast or lunch or a Greek Souvlaki or hot dog or a burger it's one of my favorites. Everyserver is great and friendly as well as the owners. Nice clean place with probably the best Texas Sauce anywhere. I been going to Louie's since they started their business in Buffalo a great many years ago. I believe it is extremely important to support the locally owned businesses. Buffalo has so many great places for things like hot dogs and burgers and this is one of them. read more

Love the Hot dogs here better than Teds. I don't know why, same brand - Sahlens like Teds but they taste better at Louie's. My favorite is what they call the "Hot Dog with "Greek" sauce- it's a chili sauce. It's yummy. Fries are good too. They steam the bun here so it's soft and fresh. Great waitresses, very pleasant. Louie's is a classic WNY staple and I've usually only had good things to say about them, but my most recent visit wasn't ideal. The visit started off well, the workers were very friendly and our server was very sweet. My boyfriend and I both ordered milkshakes with a burger and fries, our usual, and carried on. When we got our food, the fries were overly cooked compared to usual and a bit hard. My burger started off good, until midway through when I realized something was moving on my plate - two tiny green bugs. My boyfriend and I googled it and found they were aphids, which must of came from the lettuce, but it really grossed me out and I could no longer eat afterwards. It made me question if they had even washed their lettuce.... After that, I had to go to the bathroom to sit as I got pretty nauseous. While aphids are harmless in general, it was still yucky to me and left me with a bad taste in my mouth. My boyfriend alerted our server and she was extremely apologetic, comping the burger on our bill - which we appreciated. Overall, I usually have a great experience at Louies, but this time the food was not good and my boyfriend and I both left dissatisfied. The workers were great though, so shoutout to them. read more

We go a couple times a week the food right on point we always love the service. The waitresses are so nice and the ambience is always clean.

Ordered 6 slim dogs, but 5,1 free. Did curbside pick up.!went well except I will not sign the bill. But they were fast. It is open 24/hrs, serves some great quality food from breakfast stuff like eggs and bacon toast to pancakes and sausages all the way to steak dinner or a chicken souvlaki sandwich with fries 24hrs a day. You can't beat that! In addition to all that, Louies Texas Red Hots main event and staple contender item on the menu is their Texas Red Hots! Sahlen's hot dogs on steamed rolls with onion and Louies sauce! We call it slime on our slime dogs! You can buy 5 and you get a 6th free! I do recommend mustard as well. This location is right near the Bills Stadium. Open 24hrs it is super convenient and a nice quality! Expect to pay for it though. That's my one gripe. The hotel im staying at in Buffalo, New York recommend the place. I liked that the place was within walking distance. The restraunt was clean and bright so you can see the menu. I liked that they had a veggie burger. I asked if they could cook my Burger away from the meat. It didn't have a cow burger taste nor was it greasy. The food was diner food but it was convenient, fast and reasonably priced plus it had a good taste. The portion sizes were excellent. If you've never been to Louie's, you have not lived. My ex wife introduced me to this place when we got married 25+ years ago. They have several locations in the Buffalo area. The closet to me was a stones throw from Rich Stadium in Orchard Park where the Bills play. My ex worked at the original location on E. Delevan in what is now the east side ghetto. Back then, the waitresses had to be able to memorize every order without writing them down. This place is a diner, and I love it! The cooks are very fast; the waitresses are extremely efficient and friendly, and the place is spotless. Perfectly organized, it runs like a clock. But the best thing by far is the food. I could eat everything on the menu, and love it. But in all honesty, my absolute favorite is the Louie's Omlette! It may sound disgusting to some people, but it is tremendous. The official description is: 3 Extra Large Eggs; 2 Texas Red Hots cut up; Silver Onions; w/ cheese, and Louie's Special Greek Sauce. Served with home fries, toast, and jelly. I get it with the sauce on the home fries; Feta cheese on top, and an awesome Chocolate Shake that is malted. If you only ate one meal today, this would foot the bill. Open 24/7, this place is a lifesaver! If you're looking for something fancy, go somewhere else. But if you're looking for good eats served fast, hot, and delicious, look no further. read more

Louie's is always hit or miss for me. It's never really busy on the times where I've been, but yet the service is always lacking. The worker to worker interactions I've encountered are always awkward, and I'm not sure I want to know what that's about. Louie's are known for their Texas Red Hots, smothered in their special sauce and topped with lots of chopped onion.. You buy (5) five, you get the sixth one free. By the time I got home, my buns were soggy and it was more like a chili, which is what I ended up eating it as. The menu has so so so many options, I don't think a big menu is always best, but there is something for everyone. This past time I got the Breakfast #4 , served with two eggs, pancakes or french toast (I opted for pancakes) , and my choice of meat was Sausage. I also had an extra side of sausage for $3.99 , and a side of Home Fries (holy portion size!) for $2.99. Everything was delicious. The fresh coffee for $1.89 with refills you can't beat. All in all, I don't live close by at all, but if I'm ever in the area, sure I'll go. read more

We were impressed with how clean this location is! We came in at sort of a weird time (9 pm on a Sunday) and there was one person sitting. We got our food to go, just the hot dog take out special and fries with a side of sauce. The sauce is just like chili without beans and is mostly ground beef. It was a little pricy for 6 hot dogs and fries, but it's helpful for those who value a 24 hour joint. They're also located close to the bills stadium so I can only imagine the crowd on game day! read more

One of my favorite local Buffalo chains. I'm reviewing this location because this is the main one I get to eat it since it has become a tradition to eat here before Bills games every year (this location is kiddy corner from the Bills stadium). When you come here you have to order a Texas red hot. Order anything else you want but you have to get at least one of those. A Texas red hot from Louie's includes a Sahlen's hot dog on a soft steamed bun topped with mustard, onions, and most importantly Louie's special Greek sauce which is basically a thin chili. What you end up with is a tried and true Buffalo classic that is one of the most satisfying fast foods I've ever eaten. The Greek sauce is just the right amount spicy (not too much, just a little zip) and holds a great flavor and makes a perfect hot dog topping. I also highly recommend ordering hash browns topped with the Greek sauce which is what I always order as a side to to my Texas red hots when I come here. Sigh...If only Louie's had more northtowns locations I would be a happy guy. read more

Cool retro diner, was like stepping back in time a bit. Waitresses were super nice and prompt. I had hot dogs and a cheese burger with the sauce. Good size and good tasting. If you're going for fast food, it's so much better than McD's or BK. The person I was with had the gyro and said it was pretty good too. If I could give 0 I would! This kid couldn't pass an order if his life depended it! Worst experience ever! Coming out after a concert, we seated our selves and waited! The waiter finally came over to take our drink order, delivered those and then we gave him our food order. Then we waited, another table was seated right across from us, within 15 minutes they received there drinks and food! Now at this point it had already been 35-40 minutes and NO drink refills or Food! I asked the waiter that had taken our order he had no clue where our food was or when we would be receiving it! I then pointed out that the table across from us was already eating and they came in after us! He said so, what do you want me to do. This is the kind of a don't give a sh!t attitude that consumers are forced to deal with lately! The manager I'm assuming, couldn't handle the situation and offered no explanation as to what was going on! She witnessed this kids attitude and did absolutely nothing, and acted like this was just the normal situation and I can attest that this isn't the kind of customer service that I received here prior, and in fact we will not return. There are way to many options for this type of food that is similar price and better in quality! Seneca Hots comes to mind or Teds! The kid was a complete jerk when he was asked! Louie's is the kind of place you go when you're looking for drunken munchies at 3am or for when you are too lazy too cook your own breakfast on a lazy Sunday morning. Louie's offers diner food in what appears to be a restored fast food restaurant. Breakfast is served all day, and they offer dinner varieties of gyros, sandwiches, and soft drinks. The decor is that from a 1980's malt shop with some personal signage and photographs thrown in. The service is fast, the food is decent, and the prices are outrageously low. If you're looking for a quick cheap bite and don't mind the greasy feel of a diner, then Louie's is your place. read more

I work nights and for whatever reason "LOUIE 'S" kept smacking me upside the head. Maybe it was Diana R's review that made me want to relive my mis-spent youth. Hubby was with me this early am and I leaned in the car window and whispered "Louie's", and he said "YES!!". I don't believe I've ever been in a Louie's in daylight. I much prefer the cover of darkness. After we had reached an agreement for a fortifying meal I debated the issue, internally, whether it should be sliders (70's speak for hot dogs), or breakfast. We both decided breakfast was the better choice ( our internal combustion engines sometimes blow if we attempt to act anything other than our age). I had my usual 2 GLORIOUS RUNNY, almost raw eggs, with the smushed russet potatoes that are delightful when covered in ketchup and toasted pita. YES!!! Hubby had the Polish Sausage B'fast. I ate his plated spuds. It's our agreement. The sun came up. We did not melt. We actually drove off into the sunset for a medical appointment in Geneseo. Louie's is just good food. Hubby is a good date. Life was good today however this evening holds the opportunity for sliders, if we so elect. read more

Louie's is your standard diner serving burgers, hot dogs, breakfast foods, and greek food. I personally had their hot dogs. There was nothing really special about their hot dogs, but if you have a craving for a hot dog or burger, it's hard to turn down a low priced one. I also had their strawberry milk shake which was awesome. One thing that did turn me off was that one of my friends ordered an omelet and the cheese they put on top was more or less two unmelted slices of american cheese, which did not look appealing at all. The wait staff was very friendly and very attentive. Our waitress kept on making sure we were okay and made sure we had our refills. Then again, the five of us probably made up half of the customers at 1am. I'd say the combination between their low prices, honest food (with maybe the exception of the omelet), and delicious milkshake, I'd be back - though probably more for a midnight snack than an actual meal. read more

Walked in at 4:00pm on Monday September 30th and went to a seat. No one acknowledged we were there or said I will be with you in a moment. NOTHING !! After waiting 10 minutes, we got up. and proceeded to walk out.
