Disappointed and loud. Got my order wrong, place was dirty and the good music was way too loud

I try to buy from businesses nearby, it always takes over an hour to get something delivered from here. My app shows the driver there for 20 minutes. When I talk to the manager about it she is extremely rude. I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

This is easily my favorite Five Guys location to visit. Every time I come, the place is clean and there's is always a friendly face to greet you at the front. I went during the peak of the lunch rush and was immediately welcomed as soon as I walked through the door. I placed my order and I was able to hear it communicated to the employees at the grill. The manager Kendrick is very attentive and makes sure that place runs like a machine! read more

I have not been to Five Guys in over 5 years, so today I decided to go because I was tired of the same fast food places on my route. I ordered an cheeseburger with my favorite condiments, and an large drink, I have to say this will be my last time coming to this place. For 10.00 this was an small burger which you barely taste the meat. I am very disappointed in the cost for little of nothing to taste. This place is definitely overrated and overpriced. When I first moved into the area, I was like hey, there's a five guys near by. Before Five Guys was never close by so I didn't go that often, and the times I went it was very lack luster, so I couldn't really figure out if it was the location or an off time. With this location being so close I ended up coming by more often to get a more reliable rating. All the times I came it was by definition at 3 star. It was A-OK. But not better or worst. The meat is solid, a greasy and fresh burger. You get all the free toppings, but overall, it's very bland. The fries, even with the cajun seasoning is very average, with the seasoning it becomes salty, without it, you must eat ketchup with it. It's a SAFE burger, but not something I crave or desire. read more

I'll grant you that it's a good burger, but is it a mind-altering, "did the Earth move move for you too?" burger? No. I had the regular (i.e. double) bacon cheese burger. Yes it was good, but at $11 for a burger, fries, and a Coke, it was not a home run with me. Five Guys has its walls covered with quotes from minor newspapers from all over the country gushing about how spectacular the burgers are. Dudes, if your food is that magnificent, let the food convince me. Don't blow smoke at me. That tells me you need to convince me because you know the food won't! And don't trumpet that your burger toppings are free. Big deal!! Even McDonald's doesn't charge for their toppings! And Cajun fries ought to be something more than regular fries with a little Cajun seasoning tossed over them. Good burgers, more fries in my serving than I could possibly eat, spotless restaurant, quick service, but over-priced. For the same $11, you get a better burger at Miller's just up the street or a bigger and better one at Barnaby's. Sure, I'll go back occasionally, but only if I'm in the neighborhood anyway. read more

I like Five Guys a lot usually, but this location is a little below average compared to other locations. Their burgers are just okay and I think it's because of their buns. The buns should be fresher and they aren't. Otherwise, I dig it's okay, just okay, which is lame because I would like to eat burgers with the family every now and then. The good things about this place: 1. The soda fountain has cherry coke and I think coke zero. A fairly reasonable variety. 2. The fries, Cajun fries, they are nice and zesty. 3. Lots of toppings. 4. peanuts, fun to snack on if you aren't allergic ;-) Negatives: 1. The buns aren't very good. 2. I got a bacon cheeseburger once and the bacon tasted gross, really greasy and burnt. I think that this location could get better (I hope). I'll probably go back although, it's not high on my list of places to eat. read more

This is the new Five Guys located just north of 610 on Shepherd. I randomly came here after a work happy hour because I was hungry and it just opened so why not try it out? I had the vegetable sandwich which was pretty good. I think the flavors were enhanced by the drinking I had done at happy hour. The vegetable sandwich is not a veggie burger. It has everything a loaded burger would have minus the meat patty and bacon and such. The sandwich was very big (they put lots of veggies) and tasty so I was pleased with it. I also ordered a large side of cajun fries. The fries guy really hooked me up. Not only was the large cup filled with fries, but additionally, the bag was stuffed to the top with even more fries! I doub they do this every time but I would not complain if they did. Anyways, I was pleased with the overall experience. I know many of you readers were hoping I'd leave a review talking about the burgers. Sorry! But my roommate went the next day and he thought the burger was awesome. I am a fan but mainly because my husband loves this place and they have terrific french fries. Voted best burger by GQ magazine so you know its gotta be good. I had the veggie sandwich which consisted of mushrooms, onions, green peppers, lettuce, and tomato. All ingredients were fresh and tasty. My husband had a regular hamburger which he really enjoyed. As I have mentioned in other reviews, I really really love french fries. Five Guys Burgers and Fries has awesome fries. When you order they have a sign up that says where their potatoes are from for that day. They are crispy and seasoned perfectly. My husband and I shared the regular order and it was plenty for 2 people. The restaurant prides itself in making old fashioned burgers. These burgers aren't like McDonalds and Jack-in-the-box. They are fresh and cooked right in front of you with real beef. If you (or your man) likes burgers then you will love Five Guys. They do it right, thats why they have been given so many awards for best burger and they continue to pop up everywhere. read more

Pros: - Free peanuts to snack on while you wait. - Great burgers. - Friendly, quick service (more on this later) - Very reasonably priced. - Clean restaurant. Cons: - Music is always too loud (might be tolerable if it was good music; it's not) - They serve that awful, Gold Peak reconstituted iced-tea (How in the world the Gold Peak company convinces restaurant owners to put this swill in their restaurants, I'll never understand.) That said, when I came in last time, someone behind the counter either read my mind, or could read the look on my face, because she turned the music down (without any verbal comment from me) & asked if that was better. I was so astonished at her evident psychic powers, I just blinked & looked at her. I finally managed to stammer, "Uh, yeah...that's good...that's...thank you." From the beginning this place was amazing! As we walked in one of the employees opened the door for us and went to the counter and took our order! Our food came out fast and delicious! I continue to explore the area inside the loop (although this location is technically outside the loop) by bicycle. This is my second visit to a Five Guys and my first to the Shepard location. This location is just north 610 in small strip center. Nothing fancy, but clean. I find the quality of the big three burger joints to be lacking. Although a chain, Five Guys is more like what fast food once was. The patties are somewhat thin, but reasonably flavorful. If you order the regular burger, its actually two patties. I like the fact that they have a wide choice of toppings at no additional charge and if you have a hard time waiting for your meal to be prepared, you can snack on the free peanuts. I won't say this is the best burger around, but the quality is pretty good. I'll definitely be back. read more

For the rather expensive price, I would expect a burger to be much better. The meat patties were overcooked to where they were totally dry. The Cajun fries, however, were very tasty. I love messy hamburgers and so should you. There's nothing wrong with a simple menu and quick service. I was in the middle of the review when number was called to get my burger. This burger was cooked perfectly for me and topped with all the trimmings. A good thing about eating at Five Guys vs. other places you don't have to pay for the toppings. So to have a sloppy burger you must have grilled onions, jalapenos, cheese, bacon, lettuce, pickles, mushrooms, mayo, mustard, and ketchup. WOW- I will never be high school skinny again!!! read more

First time to a Five Guys yesterday was at this location. The lady working the register (didn't catch her name) was so nice! She made us feel welcome and I could tell she took pride in her job. The food was pretty good (still prefer Smashburger). I had the cheeseburger, didn't realize that it was a double. That thing was huge. Cooked well, classic toppings. Overall very old school burger which was great. The fries were ok. We got a medium size but I guess they made extra because the bag was practically overflowing with them. I like the thick, "real potato" style but I think some of them were a little under cooked. Not a big deal though. We will be back to this location for sure! read more

I went to Five Guys on Friday June 29th at 11 am. I was the only one there. I got my fries and they were burnt and since they raised the prices on the fries they have cut back on the amount. I always get the medium not the small order. The fries were already placed in the cups so they were cold. The burger was so wet with mayo that it fell apart. There are plenty of real good burger places so I will pass on Five Guys. This location needs help. read more
