I also ask for the sauce on the side because sauces can make anything unhealthy really fast . This is by far my favorite grilled chicken sandwich! Usually when I go to other places, the grilled chicken doesn't always taste very authentic or fresh but this one consistently stands out. That's one of the reasons I keep coming back. The Burger Joint is usually our go to for a late night dinner once in awhile. It's not my fave, but our boys seem to enjoy it. I got the Nashville hot chicken tenders this time rather than a burger. I will never order it again. The chicken tenders were so greasy and over fried and so dried that the ranch dip didn't help. I prefer their onion rings over their fries. Great burger spot! My dad and I both ordered classic burgers, and even though I wish I had tried one of their more unique options, the classic was delicious. My husband's Mexi Burger looked amazing, so that's definitely on my list for next time. We also shared onion rings, fries, and sweet potato fries, and everything was solid. The ordering process was simple and easy, it's a walk-up counter where you place your order and they bring your food out when it's ready. The covered outdoor seating was comfortable, there were TVs showing the game, and plenty of space for groups. I love that between both Burger Joint's there is consistency in taste, so I can go to the Montrose Location or the Heights Location and know I'll have my craving fulfilled. I also love that I can recommend them to friends and I'll know that due to the consistent taste- they'll be in for a good time. This location has plenty of parking- woohoo- and really nice servers/order takers! Seriously the guy taking our order was so incredibly helpful and ensured that even though I was making a lot of substitutions, he got them right and even reassured me that he himself is that picky, haha! Out of all the Burger Joints in Houston, I can say without a shadow of a doubt that this place is the best both in terms of consistency and atmosphere. Workers there are always exceptionally nice, I have yet to have any issues with any of my orders, and in always left content with my food. My only gripe is the same gripe I have with other locations though, and it's that the vegetarian patty leaves a lot to be desired. I do think their impossible party is solid, but at a $5 surcharge it's hard for me to rationalize paying for it. read more

I really enjoy Burger Joint, but I was super disappointed with my recent Nashville chicken sandwich. While I absolutely loved the crunch, it was overly salty. So much so, that I just tasted salt & no heat. If you have a salt sensitivity, I definitely would avoid. I probably should have asked a manager if all of that salt was in the seasoning or if perhaps they salt afterwards & someone went overboard. Had it been the latter, they probably would have made me another one. They have excellent customer service. I don't typically leave negative reviews, but I honestly would not recommend The Burger Joint based on my experience. I'm a bit surprised by how popular it is. I ordered the BBQ burger to-go, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst burgers I've had. It lacked flavor and tasted almost like it had been reheated. The bun and overall burger were extremely soggy, so much so that it felt like it had been drenched in liquid. The vegetables were also off in texture, almost stringy, which made the whole thing even less enjoyable. The fries were just okay but leaned toward soggy and greasy as well. The chicken tenders were decent, nothing special. Service was fine, but it does get very busy, and the line builds up quickly. On a positive note, the milkshake was definitely the highlight. It was thick and flavorful, honestly the best part of the meal. The ambiance is also nice, especially for a late-night spot. I'm giving 2 stars mainly because of the milkshake. Pretty good location for a quick meeting with my friend. He recommended The Burger Joint in the Heights neighborhood. This was my first time here. There were many good things about this place. It shares a parking lot with The Taco Stand and The Pizza Place (coming soon). Today was a rainy day. There were many puddles in the lot, including the ramp to get here. The ordering counter is located deep in the restaurant and outdoor seating area is wrapped around the indoor space. Because of rain, the actual outdoor seating became limited. But we still found a comfortable seat. The service was decent. Since I don't eat meat and cheese, my choice is limited to veggie burger. My friend had a fire burger. The cashier recommended fire with plant-based patty. I was against that idea because that would send me to the emergency room with the heat. Came here for lunch and had a great meal. The staff was super friendly and were able to tell me about modifications they can make to burgers for dietary needs. I was excited to find out that they had gluten free buns! I ordered the Kimchi burger with sweet potato fries and got a beef patty for my little one. We did wait a little for our food but it was worth the wait. The kimchi burger was the best mix of savory, sweet, sour and umami flavors. They have fantastic sweet potato fries and we enjoyed their different ketchups. They have great options for indoor and outdoor seating and lots of TVs around so you can catch the game. Second time coming to this place, not this one exactly but both locations (Montrose and Heights) and they seem to both have the same quality. First time going I went with their bbq burger and first impressions my socks were definitely knocked off lol. This is the first place that I had ever been to that lets you decide how you want your patty cooked (medium, medium well, well done etc.) and medium well takes the cake for me. Second time going I tried their smoke stack burger and that was a solid 4/5 for me. The burger has pulled pork, egg, mac n cheese, bbq sauce, mayo and the patty (subbed out the coleslaw). Definitely not a combo I thought I would've liked but this smacks. Over all, this place might be on the pricier side at about $11-$20 for a meal but I'd definitely say it's worth it no doubt about it. I give this place a 4/5 and not a 5 solely because of the quality of the fries compared to the Montrose location. May have just been near the bottom of the bucket but they were a bit soggy and all small. Just me knit picking, over all awesome place, would recommend!! read more

I've been here two times for take away and had the same issue. 1) their sweet potato fries taste undercooked. Both times I have taken them home and had to air fry them. This time I asked for them extra crispy and they taste the same as the time before. 2) I sub the burger with the impossible burger. As a vegetarian I've had the impossible burger many times. This one doesn't taste like that brand. It has a very obvious burger replacement taste. Usually I have my husband try my burger to make sure they didn't give me meat but this one is so obviously not. We got the fire burger with the hand cut fries. The burgers had some spice with the jalapenos! It was delicious! They could out in a little more to kick up the spice. The burgers can get a little messy so I would recommend having quite a few napkins handy :) I tried the hand cut fries with the spicy ketchup and it tasted like a sweet chili sauce- would recommend trying it out. The place had outdoor seating which was great for a spring day. I would recommend seating a little closer to the store as the outside is right next to the road and can get pretty windy.
