4 piece tender meal with fried mushrooms

I love Slim's enough to try it anywhere . But does it tastes the same everywhere so that I can happily get it anywhere? I used to eat Slim's often when I lived in Louisiana. I was excited to see one in Kyle . The staff was sweet and they have kiosks where you put your order in yourself. I ordered the 4 piece tender meal and fried mushrooms. I got Slim's sauce with my meal. This was my first time using a whole container of sauce while eating Slim's tenders. I wanted plain wings, but after finding out they were plain fried wings, I changed my mind. Tenders: I'm used to slims tenders being seasoned so well until I didn't need sauce. I actually needed sauce. Please season them a little more, Slim's in other states in seasoned WELL. Fried mushrooms: seasoned to perfection. I just wish they were fried a little harder. I will definitely order again Overall my experience was fine

This was our first time eating at Slim Chickens and it was not bad. The staff were really nice, we ordered online and it was easy to pick up. My husband and I split the five for five meal, Buffalo chicken wings, chicken tenders, and fried mushrooms. We ordered a side of okra. We enjoyed the chicken tenders, they were seasoned well and the honey bbq sauce was delicious. The mushrooms were a close second. We didn't even need dipping sauce. The okra was not seasoned but was ok with hot sauce. The wings were bland and could use some type of seasoning. We will be back for the tenders and the mushrooms!

Came in with a few coworkers cause I had never been. Some one told me it was like wingstop and they didn't lie the tenders were anorexic! Thinnest tenders I've ever had. Flavor was ok but nothing special. Now I know why this chain didn't last in south Texas. Orders a slims 5 piece tender meal and mushrooms with an order of fries. Cost me $19.45 holly molly! Best part of my visit was Mona she was very nice and sweet and had a great attitude! My first time at Slim Chickens! The girl at the drive thru taking the order was really sweet. She was welcoming and thorough in making sure I understood their offerings. It was obvious she's new, but it was nice to have a good start. The girl at the window was less friendly though and just kind of shoved my order at me. The restaurant is new, and it shows, clean and crisp looking as you'd expect. Now the food. I'm not usually a chicken tenders person so I don't have a brand preference. The tenders are juicy and tender chicken. I did expect more flavor but nada. The chicken is good chicken but it needs more flavor. The toast was great, but I'm a sucker for Texas toast lol. The fries were good. Crispy and not even soggy when I got home. The sauces are the bright supporter for the chicken. The ranch is thin and not quit a dip consistency but it's really good. The Korean BBQ was good, but I wish it was spicier. The slim sauce was good, like canes sauce. All complimented the chicken well. Next time I'll try different ones. The Mac and cheese was a must try since they have whole tender bowls. I got a side to test it out. It's good, but not seller. The bowl wasn't quite full which is a little annoying for the price. Note: I think this is the same size sold in the kids meal, so it's not a big meal for a bigger kiddo. Overall, I liked the food and I'll go back and try a sandwich next time or something else. It's comparably priced to other chicken spots so worth a try if you want something new!

After the gym we passed Slim Chickens. After reading about it online and how it's coming to Kyle we decided to try it out. It could be our post workout meal. ;) There was no one in the drive thru at 9am when we drove up which was nice. I was surprised they were open so early for a chicken place but they did have a chicken and waffle option so you could get that for breakfast. I decided to get a 3 piece tender, just the tenders. Just wanted to try it and have some protein after my workout. My husband got a bigger meal which was fries, chicken and toast. Both of ours came with a sauce of our choice which we chose Slim Sauce, their signature sauce. After my first few bites I noticed it wasn't anything special. It was warm and meaty which I appreciated but thought it would have a little more of a signature taste that made it stand out from other chicken restaurants. But I didn't really get the uniqueness I was looking for. It wasn't anything that would cause me to come back or place this as a top chicken joint. Again, it was cooked well and wasn't a bad meal it just wasn't anything eventful or stand out. Glad we could at least try a new place!

I'm not too sure about this place. I've eaten here twice-to go and eat in. Both times I got wings, once with fries and once with mushrooms. The fries-no thanks. The mushrooms were pretty good. I didn't like their wings but can't put my finger on why. Next time, I'll try something different. One more shot before I'll mark it off my list.

4 out of 5 on a fast food scale!!! If you like Zaxbys or Canes, you'll love Slim Chickens. THEY SEASON THE CHICKEN! They give you a wide variety of sauces and they have a couple of dry rubs that are available. They do cost more than Canes and Zaxbys but for juicy, seasoned chicken, it's worth it. I did not go inside so I don't know what the interior looks like but the service was friendly and everything came out fresh. Check them out!!

Just ate ate the new location at I35 and Centerpoint. Fast efficient service from a novice crew. Food was great and I'll be recommending this place to all.

The menu has changed, the portions are noticeably smaller, and the prices have gone way up. I don't mind paying for good food, but I do expect the food and experience to justify the price. This is starting to feel like the prices of the downtown tourist spots, as if they think we're in Fredericksburg. Most of the people who live here are hardworking, middle-class families. We don't mind spending money, but we shouldn't have to pay premium prices for smaller portions simply because a restaurant has a Main Street view. Sadly, this used to be a favorite of ours. It isn't anymore, and we won't be returning. Start looking at why places are closing down, because you're NOT getting community support! I wonder why? I would like to say that the service has always been good it's just the prices and how they charge for everything separately now.. nope!

Everything was pretty delicious and the presentation was beautiful. The Catfish Beignets were perfectly crispy with a hint of sweetness, but nothing super special about them, just tasted like fried catfish to me. The Diablo Chicken Pasta was nice and saucy, but like the catfish beignets, was a bit bland so I needed some salt to up the flavors. The shrimp ceviche was very refreshing, delicious, and a solid appetizer that was packed with flavor. The Chicken Waffles was good as well. The chorizo gravy sauce that came with it, was different, but complimented the whole dish very well. Overall, the portion was a bit smaller than I'd like for the price that I paid, but the food was overall pretty delicious. Our server Michael was fantastic. Super fast, friendly, and very knowledgeable about the menu. A full bar, but didn't have Pina Coladas. Lots of tables and chairs to dine at. Clean restrooms and lots of parking. Even then, i thought it was ok, especially for the price point. Stellar: First our server, Faith: she was super friendly, attentive and funny and made it a pleasant experience. Also, the shrimp tostada bites were killer - I could eat those all day. My wife's carajillo was perfect. OK: catfish beignets-the batter was well seasoned and crunchy, but it seemed like the actual fish needed seasoning as it was pretty bland. Grilled chicken sandwich was pretty bland too: the chicken was slightly dry and aside from the avocado, onion and tomato, there was not much flavor. Checked the buns to see if they were spread with an aoli but no, pretty dry. I thought Z Tejas was ok then and it's still ok and wouldn't be my first choice unless it's for happy hour where they have the shrimp tostadas on special.

My list of places to try in Austin is a never-ending backlog. About a year ago, I had a friend…read morerecommend Lil' Easy for dinner. Since it was this new and poppin' restaurant on East Cesar Chavez from the team behind De Nada, we had over an hour wait that we didn't take up. Its vibe intrigued me, and I think Cajun food is top five like Tatum with a cut. I decided to prepare only slightly this time. While getting dinner with a friend, we were discussing places when I suggested Lil' Easy. I threw a reservation down for an hour later at one of their numerous dining options. Upon arrival, parking at that little strip of restaurants on East Cesar Chavez is a bit treacherous. If you're not afraid of getting your steps in at 6 pm on a Friday, don't sweat it. Anyone else, good luck. There are a lot of different seating arrangements at Lil' Easy: the true outdoor patio with fans and umbrellas, the climate-controlled outdoor space that still brings the sun while still pumping A/C, and the traditional indoor space. Plenty of seating. The entire place was decorated with Mardi Gras beads and colors. Off the rip, we had to set the tone: I ordered a Pimm's Cup while my friend got some secret frozen swirl. We had to throw down an order of the Crawfish Queso as well. The food and drinks were served so quickly, we questioned if it was ours. The queso was De Nada's signature queso with Crawfish Étouffée mixed in. There are no tortilla chips on the side, but instead toasted bread. It's kinda like a DIY Crostini. The crawfish's flavor is a unique and savory balance to the cheesiness of the queso. Very delightful. We crushed it. My friend wanted to go wild. Another appetizer?? Their Shrimp Cocktail was thrown down immediately after ordering. The shrimp was great, but those house pickles were sneakily one of the best things they served us. Living the high life. Speaking of that, I ordered a High Life Pony as we made our main orders: a Fried Catfish Po'Boy and Fried Oyster Po'Boy. Both cut down the middle so we could have a little this, a little that. I think the bread, the catfish and the oysters, and the fries served alongside it were all incredible. My only issue was that the catfish po'boy had horseradish in it. That is a me issue, and I don't know why I can't stand horseradish. I don't know if it was hiding in their coleslaw or their rémoulade, but something was horseradish-y! I'd get the oyster po'boy again and again though! We closed the night with me being fun as I ordered their Frozen Espresso Martini with sprinkles and whipped cream because some other lady sitting nearby had that, and I WANTED TO BE FUN TOO. My friend got herself the seasonal nonalcoholic Arnold Palmer that was spiked with some Deep Eddy Lemon Vodka. Hers was great, but mine was basically a milkshake. I looked like a joyous kid with my drink. I was so very happy. They do give you lids for your drinks if you want to take them with you, but I planned to finish mine then and there. The gimme cups are also a nice touch and have their cute alligator mascot on them. Throughout the night, we could not believe how fast the service was at getting our meals and our drinks to us. Our waitress was absolutely on point the entire time we were there, constantly checking in on us and being extremely friendly and helpful in making sure we chose the right things and had a good meal ahead of us. Lil' Easy is casual, fun, and absolutely delicious. They have some of the best frozens in Austin, and their food is some of the best seafood and Cajun food I've had in Austin, hands down. Get over here. RIYL: crawfish and cocktails

She was a new server and new to Lil' Easy. We decided to try a variety of items including fried shrimp, French fries, sausage and chicken gumbo, garlic and parmesan oysters and hush puppies. The food was as good as the food you will find in NOLA. The standouts for me was the gumbo, oysters and hush puppies. The gumbo was flavorful and well-seasoned...I savored every bite. I do not like anything slimy including oysters. Given that these oysters were cooked, I took the oyster plunge. They came out steaming hot almost burning my fingers...so delightful to eat. The hush puppies were delicious...crisp but not overly crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Definitely returning...
