Last night was a disappointment. It was after 9 pm and we were trying to find a place still serving. 5 Guys was open. Burgers were fine and the fries were plentiful but soggy as usual. The soda machine was out of ice and the catsup machine was empty, and staff staff really didn't care. The place was modestly clean. While the quality of the burgers has remained consistent over the years, the price has increased exponentially. $12 burgers and $7 fries is a bit of a stretch for me, but I'm willing to pay the price for late service. I'll go back but it won't be my first choice. Manager needs to crack the whip a little. read more

The only thing memorable about this place is how outrageous the prices are and how the portions don't even come close to justifying it. Burger patties are bland. They rely too much on the condiments doing the heavy lifting. Fries are over salted and lack luster. Shakes... small and oddly one note. This was my first and last experience here. I won't ever be back. Not due to staff, but how there are several places at the top of my head that provide value and flavor. Something five guys could not do. read more

The generous portion of fries always seemed so endless with half the bag full of fries no matter what size, although the most recent little size cup of fries was definitely tiny. Additionally, the little bacon burger that I got with the endless free toppings can be customized just the way you like it. Other than that, the quality of the food is okay, I always wished that the grilled mushrooms were cooked a bit more but other than that, the burger usually taste okay, comparable to other fast food joints. Me and my family went out for family dinner here. And this is the worst place I've ever been. Right as I walked into this nightmare I slipped on a pile of piss. Yes literally piss. After I got cleaned up I still decided to try to eat here and oh boy.... That was the worst idea of my life. The building is super old and it's so dirty the floors looked like they weren't cleaned in ages! As we sat down there were crumbs and spilt condiments all over the table. We asked a worker if she could clean it up and she gave us a rag and told us to do it ourselves! I brushed it off and decided to order a hotdog, oh boy I love hotdogs and they gave me this uncooked peace of bread with 2 uncooked weiners. . And that was my last straw, I yelled at the workers and as I was leaving I saw Kanye west outside. When I went to take a picture of him and greet him, he unleashed a huge wave of obscenities I've never heard in my life. And Me and my family were so over we went to Mc Donald's instead. read more

You can tell this place cares a lot about running the business well and keeping customers happy. When you order takeout, you order online and choose the pickup time. Once you arrive, you simply call the number that's in the window (look above the door) so they know you're there. As soon as you call, they drop your fries so they're perfectly fresh when they run your meal out to the car (and they communicate this clearly so you know it'll be a couple minutes). The food is made on time, and it's so nice to have something made for you. A real comfort when you're having a rough day. I appreciate them so much. Tip them well -- they deserve it! read more

I love five guys. The times we went they were quick and professional. We have never had an issue with our food, let alone the quantities! We are stuffed to the brim after eating here. You can easily share a fry since they give you so much. I recommend the Cajun seasoning ones, so good and so much flavor. Foods always hot and fresh since they make it to order. But seriously though, the fries are from real potatoes and the burgers are hand-pressed and made to order. Be careful though, the 'Little Buger' is actually a normal human-sized serving and their standard comes with two patties. I used to love this place and would stop by even if I just wanted some of the amazing Cajun fries. Over the last year or so this location has been getting stingy with toppings on burgers and the portions for fries. This last weekend was the last time I will be buying anything from this location as I picked up a large order of Cajun fries to share with my wife and we got the absolute smallest large fries that someone could possibly hand a paying customer. It just seems like to few fries for $6 or too much money for the amount of fries. Not my problem anymore though. read more

The prices do seem a little high here for burgers (but they are double patty so maybe it is justified), but just a bacon cheeseburger came out to around $9. There were plenty of available peanuts, as per usual and the cajun fries were tasty (also as per usual). Because I eat at Culver's way too often, I thought I would shake it up by going to Five Guys. I am giving them 4 instead of 5 stars because their beef patty shrunk -- significantly. I mostly go for their fries and order A LOT. I use the leftover fries for a breakfast hash. Cut them up and add onions peppers and viola! Yum! This doesn't work with other fast food fries. Just the Five Guys :0) I hope you're all surviving out there. I have given this location many chances, and I am sorry to report my opinion is officially that they are "meh". The service isn't friendly. It has often taken 20+ minutes to get out food. Which, I know that Five Guys isn't a McDonalds. They strive for a higher quality product and I expect a longer wait, but when we are some of the only customers in the place and we are still waiting that long, it's silly. But what has really gotten to me is that they have made my order wrong several times now. I usually order a veggie sandwich (I avoid beef for various reasons) and each time I have asked for no mushrooms. Yet, what do I find upon my sandwich? Mushrooms. I have tried their burgers and they are fine, and the fries are actually pretty excellent. What kills this location for me is the service problems. There's definitely something about doing something simple but doing it very well; There's not a whole lot to it -- burgers, fries. I give this place two stars because the service use to be relatively quick and when I have ordered from here I'm the past my order was correct and the food was decent. On my last visit I ordered a cheese burger with mushrooms on a lettuce bun. When my order was ready it came face down, in a bowl and the cheese wasn't even melted on the burger. I didn't blindly walk into 5 guys thankfully as the red and white retro decor and watching the staff flip burgers may make you feel like ordering a Tab to get your caffeine. There are disclaimers on the door, by the menu and multiple other places informing you if you are allergic to peanuts a) there are peanuts shelled and eaten here and b) food is cooked in peanut oil. So even though I like the greasy food it is not worth using an EpiPen or a trip to the ED. The food. Burgers are priced in a $7 range which might seem expensive at first, but they're cooked immediately instead of being warmed and there's a heck of a lot of toppings you can throw on them. It's practically a salad on your bun except not as healthy. And they're double patties...just so you are aware when ordering fries. My daughter is gluten free, but it wasn't an issue as all burgers and dogs can be cooked with no bun and it was a decent sized (and tasty) hot dog. It got an "Mmmm" out of her and that's a high compliment. The place is clean, bright and the entryway was a tad loud as a speaker was in it, but it muffles other conversations and I barely heard toddlers in the restaurant. Just picked up a group order for work from the Greenway Station location. My bottle of Diet Coke was missing from my order and the topping on my burger were wrong. I called to request that they credit my card for the missing soda (order was placed online and picked up by a co-worker). I was told that they couldn't do that and that I could come in for a free meal....ok, I'm at work, looking right at a meal I just paid $16 for, so I really don't see that as a viable option. This was my first order from Five Guys and it will be my last. Let's face it, there are plenty of really great burger places around that actually have their act together and respect their patrons. Food: I'm not sure what all the fuss is about. I ordered a cheeseburger with everything ("all the way"). This $7.69 double burger was good, but nothing to write home about. All of those toppings are great, but I was hoping that the quality of the meat would be something spectacular, but it didn't taste much different than any other far less expensive burger. They don't use what I consider to be real cheese. This is Wisconsin, people! There is no excuse for fake cheese here. It reminded me of Kraft Singles. My children each had what they call a Little Burger which is a single patty. For $5.69 each, I should have just ordered one regular cheese burger (which again, is a double patty) and split it in half. I'm really interested in why they price it this way. The fries were good but nothing special. The ketchup they serve is cold-yuck. Their fountain drink selection is a newer model with endless drink choices. They have two of these machines so there is virtually never any waiting. ATMOSPHERE: When you walk through the double doors, you are blasted with super loud music. Whoa. While in the restaurant, the music is almost as loud but tolerable. At least it was a good mix of classic rock and more current music. The restaurant is kept very cold. I couldn't find a thermostat to report specifics, but it was uncomfortably cold like the ketchup. The restroom seemed clean and the water from the sink is fixed at a cozy warm temperature, though it was way too hot for my kids' more sensitive hands. The staff is very patient, friendly and happy to be there. I witnessed lots of staff smiles and a verbal reassurance to one customer whose order was taking an extra few minutes. I always enjoy seeing this type of positive energy. OVERALL: Personally, I may or may not stop here again. A previous reviewer was concerned with the higher prices on the menu, but apparently he is in the minority because this place was hoppin'-with very few open tables and a line 8 people deep. If you are willing to pay a bit more for a quality burger, I highly recommend one at the Tornado Room. It's $9 for a half pound burger and it is tremendous. read more

In the past I've shied away from reviewing chains, but i can't really say why that's been the case; so... Five Guys is a fun option if you're in a burger and fires sort of mood and even more so if you have the chance to stick around in the store for a while. Free peanuts while you're in the shop are pretty sweet and can be just the thing to get you ready for a delicious burger. I pretty much always go for the bacon cheeseburger option (which is actually served double decker). This is not for the faint of heart, but it is a very filing and tasty choice if you're running on empty stomach-wise. You're encouraged to choose multiple toppings from a fairly diverse list at Five guys and I tend to go for grilled mushrooms, grilled onions, extra pickles, mustard, and hot sauce. This yields quite a large, delicious, and messy sandwich. The bacon at Five Guys is very crispy (perhaps even too much so) but this works well against very nice, soft sesame seed buns. All of this comes wrapped up in foil and actually travels quite well if you're taking it to go. The fries at Five Guys are great as well. These are made fresh in house and each location will display where the potatoes they're using one any particular day were grown. Fires come regular (just salt) or Cajun and I ALWAYS go for the Cajun option. Spicy, salty, crunchy, starchy; these are a winner! When you order fries at Five Guys you will get a LOT of fries. Essentially you will get either a small or regular size beverage cup full of fries, plus a heaping scoop of 'extra' fries dumped right into the bag for good measure. If you love finding a 'bonus' fry in the bag during the drive home Five Guys will definitely be your thing! The other good options on the menu are basically hotdogs and sodas, so don't come hear looking for infinite choices (although the various topping combinations do increase diversity). The service tends to be quite customer friendly, although you may hear the workers being a little saucy to one another. The music is sometimes a little on the loud side, but is usually good (mostly classic rock). The prices are on the average to high side for fast casual restaurants but you do get a fair amount of food for the price. This particular location of Five Guys is my favorite due to proximity to my home, but I've found the consistency from location to location (including those in airports!) to be very high. In some ways I'm sort of glad Five Guys doesn't serve beer; I think if they did I might end up spending a LOT of time (and money) hanging out here... read more

First time here and it was really GOOD. I have always been told that the burgers here are amazing but never got the chance to check it out until now. The staff here is super helpful. We went in and were welcomed right away with smiles! I believe it was the manager who approached us and asked if we had any questions. He told us we only need to order one large order of fries because it would be more than enough for all of us to share. Holy crap was he right! I'm a sucker for fries and these were awesome! A friend in the Milwaukee area always talks about Five Guys, so we had to try it. Went their on Saturday about 7:00. In short, the guy at the register was not the nicest. I hadn't been there before and was trying to figure out the menu. He said he would explain, but really didn't. Just said the regular burgers have two patties and the little burgers have one. He was kind of impatient and then to make it worse got my order wrong. (Left off a topping I chose from their rather long list). By the time I noticed I figured "whatever". It's sort of awkward standing around waiting for your order - their really isn't a good area except in front of the soda machine. Good news is the food was rather tasty. Not the best burger I ever had, but pretty darn good. Fries could have been more crispy - but they were fresh with the skin on and tasted good. Five Guys....a fast food restaurant worth the trip! I have been to more than one in different parts of the U.S. and their consistency is very strong. The burgers....delicious. The fries....great fresh cut style. Fancy soda machine is cool. Service....great every time I have been. It is pricey....but you need to cut back on your fast food intake. I ordered online for my son's birthday because he loves Five Guys. My pick up time was 6:00. The website specified that fries and shakes would be started at check in so I knew to expect a wait. I could see my sandwich buns and condiments waiting for burgers. My shakes were delivered. At 6:25 when all the other pick ups had been handed out, I asked if they had lost my order. Despite the cashier yelling my name and hearing the grill yell it back to him, they had not started assembling it. My wait was only 5 minutes from that point. The fries were nice and hot but the sandwiches were cold and the shakes were melty. Not a good experience. There are too many hoops to jump through for an online order, too much waiting when you arrive (even without the flub this time), and obviously too many ways for it to still go wrong. read more

Horrible! If I could give negative stars I would! Drinks are all watered down, they are dispensed from a Coke self serve machine - and all watered down. The burgers and hotdogs are nothing special, except lots of grease. The fries come in a small paper cup and I mean small, only saving grace, they taste horrible. I've been to other Five Guys in other towns, not sure if this was so bad because of location. The cost is twice as much as their competitor. read more
