    a cheeseburger and french fries

Some days ya just gotta burger, not whataburger. The ambiance is American diner to me! The bacon cheeseburger and Cajun fries were great, but make sure you are certain they are open before you go. Signs on the door announced the would open later in the day, just not exactly when. Staffing is a real prob! That's my guess!

I usually don't go to Five Guys. Now I remember why. Getting good help is difficult right now. There are Help Wanted signs everywhere. But there are some employee's behaviors that simply cannot be ignored. We are in a Pandemic. Wear your mask. If you are wearing it beneath your chin and make extended direct eye contact with a customer then wear it correctly. I'm wearing mine. Correctly. Be helpful. There are 15 free burger toppings. Learning that after the order is complete is not helpful. Missing items that have been paid for and are on the receipt but not present is not good service. Double check the order to ensure it is complete. Enjoying working with your fellow employee is good. No one likes to come to an unhappy workplace. However, this is performance art. When the food prep area becomes a locker room it's probably a good idea and tone it down. Sadly I cannot recommend this restaurant.

    My receipt for my food

Prices, prices, prices! While the meal was good, the prices have gotten ridiculous! $25.44 for a hot dog, a little cheeseburger . A small fry, a small drink, and a water! And the , the machine on checkout asks if I would like to tip for serving myself.

Don't let the chain stigma fool you. These burger are legit and the fry orders are larger than life portions.

Don't matter which city we are in it never fails. Things to add before the service. Party of 5, automatic gratuity. 3 percent add for paying with card. Remember we had to tip 18 percent for this service so why would the server give two shi about us. They were already getting the tip. And we only had two adults and three kids (2 at 14). Served nachos, never given any silverware. Went to front grabbed it myself. Fast forward, not to much on the drink refill or clearing an appetizer meal off the table because the tables are average size. Had to ask for those refills, and just water. Time to pay. No clue where the server was then, seen the server standing up front near the entrance. Then Watched other tables get drink refills, and actually pay and began to leave. Wife had to go to the counter to get the bill. Then I went to the counter to pay the bill. Christ our luck sucks. Let's get to the food. Philly steak, boneless wings, kid got a monster burger, and sliders. Guess what, the food is as absolutely great! Go try the food.. other tables were getting. The service you'd expect since you are forced an automatic 18 percent.

Coming to this location for the first time proved that streak still continues. The LUMP BLUE CRAB BISQUE - Sherry, Cream, Crushed Herb Croutons to start was fabulous. The MACADAMIA-NUT-CRUSTED SNAPPER - Hawaiian Red Sea Salt, Almond Rice, Grilled Asparagus, Wasabi Soy Beurre Blanc was just as good. Yes, something I usually pass on entirely, dessert, the key lime pie was great too. The only disappointment was the piña colada I ordered. The "bar" is set high on this one by the Marlin Bar in Orlando so I'll give them a pass. Service was very attentive and the place itself is brand new. I wish the developer would have made more parking closer to the buildings. In the off season it was nuts, coming here during peak season is going to be a challenge. One aspect they truly excel at is the live entertainment. The music is just right--loud enough for the audience to sing "Sweet Caroline," yet soft enough to allow for casual conversations at the table.

We are typically there at least three out of the seven days we stay in town. Unfortunately, after our experience on Mother's Day, we do not plan on returning. We arrived around 4:30 p.m. with a party of nine, hoping to enjoy some of the happy hour menu and pricing. We were kept waiting in the front until exactly 5:00 p.m., even though it was obvious that tables on the back deck were already available. Once seated, our server was polite and did a good job taking care of us. During conversation, we mentioned the long wait, and he explained that it is apparently "protocol" to delay seating larger parties until after 5:00 so they do not receive happy hour pricing. If that is truly company policy, I find it extremely disappointing and dishonest. We felt manipulated instead of welcomed. The food quality was also far below what we have experienced in past years. The crusted snapper that was recommended to us was terrible and had to be sent back. My grandson's burger was also very poor quality and honestly unpleasant. The only dishes our table generally agreed were decent were the squash casserole bowl and the chicken parmesan. Another disappointment was learning that bread is no longer served. For families with children, that was always something simple that helped while waiting on meals. Between the removal of those small touches, the higher prices, and the noticeable decline in food quality, the restaurant no longer feels worth returning to. I'm not writing this to get anyone in trouble. I'm writing because this restaurant used to be one of the highlights of our vacation every year, and it is frustrating to see the experience decline this much. Chris Tomlinson

The weather was a beautiful 70 degrees, and we were lucky enough to get a table with a great view of the beach and sunshine. We ordered the fish tacos and the grouper bites. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time and was piping hot. The fish tacos had a generous piece of fish on each taco, grilled perfectly. My friend ordered the grouper bites and OMG -- they were lightly battered, cooked just right, and you get so many! Definitely a must-have. Now for the service. Our waitress started off strong by promptly taking our order, but unfortunately it went downhill from there. Once we received our food, she never stopped back to check on us or offer drink refills. There was only one bartender and the place was packed. He appeared overwhelmed, especially with beachgoers walking up to the bar while also trying to keep up with drink orders from the waitstaff. It didn't seem like the servers had assigned sections, as tables appeared to be seated in rotation. Toward the end of our meal, we noticed not only ourselves but other diners trying to get their waitress's attention, which was difficult. Overall, I'd give the food 5 stars and the service 2 stars. I understand it's a beach atmosphere, but with spring break starting, the service really needs to step up its game.
