This is my first time here and I'd say this place is what a McDonald's wishes they could become. The burger and fries both reminded me of McDonald's. The ingredients seemed to be higher quality but the taste and flavor profile was very similiar to McDonald's. I'd say overall the food was good but overpriced to the point I'd prefer something like Shake Shack. I also tried one of their shakes. The chocolate shake was heavily diluted with vanilla ice cream, it was okay and I would not order it again. The restaurant style is similiar to a Wendy's and McDonald's, most fast food restaurants. The workers were typical except for Captain Whattaburger. He was going above and beyond and at first I thought he was funny but towards the end after hearing multiple bad puns in series, I was a bit done lol. Mood: good cheap eats It's going to be five star every single Time. Really wish there was one in Las Vegas! I get the beef patty melt 10/10, made fresh to order and so mouth watering. Strawberry milkshake 10/10- it is so big and creamy. I just love to get any other flavors of milkshakes. They have chocolate, vanilla and strawberry and you can also get all of those mixed together in one. I usually get a medium because the large is way too big and I was gonna finish it and the small is too small, of course. This particular whataburger had great service. Very polite, helpful, place was clean. You can also a double or triple patty melt. Don't forget to get spicy ketchup for the fries. The fries are a good size and not overly salty. Very glad they are 24hours with both breakfast and lunch options at all different times. A lot of times people get upset because you have to wait but when something is made to order and not automatically just frozen then put on the grill it does take some time so I recommend having some patience. We stopped here midway through our shopping day at the outlet mall. We ate around 3 o'clock. We pulled right in, went inside and ordered, and our food was delivered to our table within 8 minutes. We were a table of four, and all of our order was correct. The food was hot, and correct. The sweet tea was perfect, but make sure you add a lot of ice. It melts quickly. Overall, it is always good to have Whataburger on vacation at the beach. We will be back. read more

My daughter insisted we had to find a whataburger while in Florida so we did. She raved about them. Either we are just too Yankee or generally just not the impressed is a matter of opinion. Shake Shack they are not! The employees were great, full of personality and appeared to really enjoy what they do. The burgers were average at best, but generously sized. Buns felt cheap. Fries were thin and like McDonald's. The pepper sauce was the star and delicious. They are not free and you do get charged per sauce but it was worth .40 cents and than some. Honestly not sure why this location is rated so low? Our experience today was awesome! Our group ate inside the dining room. Everything was clean, people were spaced out, and the service was quick. All the employees were super friendly. We're visiting from out of town so a lot of folks in our group have never had whataburger, so we were definitely excited to try it out. I got a chicken sandwich with fries and whataburger sauce. It was amazing. Everything was super fresh and hot. The sandwich itself was huge along with everyone's burgers. You definitely get a large amount of food for a great price. Nothing was super greasy or anything like that just super fresh. The burgers looked amazing as well. One person in our group also got the BBQ chicken melt and they said it was very good too. The onion rings were delicious. You can't go wrong with this place. This may be the slowest Whataburger in the United States. Food wasn't terrible but it's definitely not worth the wait.

The king was very long, however the wait was worth it. Our food was delicious and we had zero complaints. We loved the fact that they bagged our orders separately and placed the order in one plastic bag. All except one request was fulfilled and the customer service was great. We will definitely return and WHATABURGER is exactly what we had! I'm not sure why the rating is so low, but they did a great job today! read more

The last time I was at a Whataburger was when we lived in Houston for between 2004 and 2006. They don't have any locations around Chicago and, I admit, we missed it. I always found Whataburger to be what I thought was the best of the fast-food burger joints. This one, in Destin, was not quite what I recalled. Clearly, the person behind the counter absolutely loved his job. He was smiling and joking with people - even dancing from time to time. I suppose you can never go back. The fries were very good. The burger wasn't what I remembered. I am from Texas, and love Whataburger! I visited this location while on vacation (today) and was surprised that it was just as good as home! This location also has a young man working here with the best attitude, smiling and cracking "dad" jokes, he was a pleasure to speak to. He even wore a cape that said "WHATADUDE". He was a delight! After we ate we went straight to the airport to head home and I realized I had left my wallet in the restroom, we called and let them know where it was left. Added everything I like on a burger no additional charges. Drive through folks were nice. When they handed me the bag I thought wow this is heavy why? Never been to Whataburger before but now I know why it's called What A Burger....the burgers are huge and I couldn't handle it. I "thought"I was hungry, so I got a Mushroom and Swiss burger meal. Honestly, I should've known what I was getting myself into by the size of the cup but I thought Cedric (the cashier) was being nice. They were behind on orders so it took a while for my food to come but it was worth it because my burger and fries were fresh. My food was good and the price was extremely reasonable for what you get ($8.77). The only reason I'm giving this location 3 stars is because of the wait time and the seating areas were extremely dirty, also my burger didn't look too appealing.
