Art work on cork board. Yes, these hamburgers will stay in your heart and blood vessels.

Lots of overpriced fat and sugar. It's not what I personally like, I've humored male relatives who wanted to eat at this place. The decor is only oversized copies of newspaper and magazine articles about the franchise. It is not attractive and a bit desperate-looking. The cashier put my order in with two incorrect topppings added and one correct one missing. We were the only people in line. They made it up to me, but geez. The burger was under-cooked and cold too. I regret the milkshake, it was too sludgy to taste or drink. I got the malt. It tasted salty. Maybe I was given the caramel shake by mistake. Or the malt is weirdly salty. The plus side: individual large single-stall restrooms. A touch-free soap dispenser and sink would make it better.

Normally I have absolutely no issue with Five Guys, but as I was eating I found a hair in my burger. It was a bright red hair and there is no one in my household with bright red hair. I called and all I got was a "sorry" and then hung up. My fiancé was eating his burger and low and behold. Bright red hair in his burger as well

Good stuff! I've been watching this restaurant under construction all spring/summer/fall and finally, last week, the place opened. Went there last week at 6pm with some friends and their son. The line was out the door and the place was mobbed! I had actually driven by at lunch and the line wrapped around the corner of the building. I had not heard of this chain before and wondered why during an economic slump someone would open a new (unknown) chain in Nahsua when a couple of local chains have closed locations here in the city. Well, after seeing & tasting the food and noticing the affordable pricing (less than $10 pp), I see why they moved in. Bye-bye Micky-Ds, BKs, and Wendy's - Hello Five Guys!! Real french fries folks! They (in front of you while you wait), cut and fry r-e-a-l potatoes. REAL (c'mon, who does that anymore??). Actually the whole 'prepare and cook the food' for each meal is amazing to watch. You can see that every ingredient is fresh. You can see your entire meal being prepared before your eyes. Five guys must have intentionally laid the kitchen out the way they did to make this viewing by the customer possible. It's a very nice touch. The hamburgers and fries are excellent. A few years back, I read the Ray Kroc story of how he bought the rights from the McDonald brothers to franchise their drive-in concept. Ray described in that book how he watched outside as the customers waited in lines for a hamburger and fries and how efficient the process was. He also took note of how fresh the ingredients were and how they prepared the potatoes and such. I think McDonald's of today left that simple but great concept behind and Five Guys has revived the original McDonald brothers' concept. I'm lucky to have the chance to see what Ray saw back in his day that made him take notice of a successful small town restaurant concept.

How can you go wrong with Five Guys. They are consistent. Never had a bad burger but I do miss all of the free peanuts.

The servers were friendly and answered all my questions. I usually get the #13 and it always tastes great, plenty of toppings (meat and veggies) and is usually ready by the time arrive.

Full confession upfront here: I feel like a total heel for two reasons. 1.) I realize I haven't…read morewritten a single review in over 1.5 months and I apologize (it's expensive af out there, yo!) and 2.) I've been eating delicious subs from this particular JM location for MONTHS now, yet haven't done a review on why they're so bloody awesome! Allow me to kill two birds with the proverbial stone then. Honestly, this won't be a long review. Most of you probably can ascertain how I feel about JM as a franchise. But for those not "in-the-know", there isn't a single sandwich shop in the Nashua area (to my knowledge) that can even hold a candle to this one. To put it succinctly, the true measure of a sandwich shop is how many different subs you can order from them that you actually enjoy as opposed to reacting like, "yeah....this one's alright." For context, I routinely order at least 3 different subs from here. And whilst Mike's Famous Philly will always hold a special place in my heart, I can aptly say that I almost equally immensely enjoy the tuna and chicken Philly subs as well. So, that really only leaves one other differentiating factor: the location itself. This one's my preferred spot, not only because they're the closest one to where I live; but also because they are generally one of the easiest locations to get into. To briefly elaborate on this, it's how the parking lot is configured. It's a relatively wide open space with two entrances; one of which is on the side that doesn't impede the mainstream traffic on Amherst Street. A crucial feature for us locals who prefer using the back routes to circumvent the vexing backlog of rush hour traffic which continues to plague the vast majority of society to this day. But....I digress. I mean, do I really need to say more? Between the fresh ingredients, consistent execution of orders, and friendly faces, this place slaps hard! Ergo, I'm giving Jersey Mike's on Amherst Street 5 sizzling Philly steaks the other local joints WISH they could emulate out of 5.
