We have visited the other Nashua location a bunch of times and coming here, the food remains consistent and delicious. We really enjoy this location as it's much larger than the other location. They also do have a bar in the restaurant. We love the food here and always defer to their specialty items on their menu. Mainly fish tacos. The fish has the perfect crunch while maintaining the moisture. I just wish they had lengua or cabeza. Staff is very welcoming and restaurant is clean. Ample amount of space for parking and dining. The food here is great every time. They don't accept credit cards at this location, though, and that has really turned me off. I've entered and then left without ordering multiple times b/c they don't take cards and have a no-name ATM in the corner that charges fees. This is not a review of the food but of their awful service and ordering process. You stand in line forever while they make dozens of to go orders. Then when they do look up at you there is no hello, no how can I help it's just what do you want and rush you along. I asked for a sprinkle of cilantro and hot sauce, $.50 extra. Really. I placed a takeout order for fish tacos with sides and waited nearly 15 minutes--despite the restaurant not being busy. That kind of delay after placing an order in person is hard to overlook. The chips and salsa were a letdown: a tiny portion that felt more like a garnish than a proper side. Even more frustrating was the missing side I discovered only after arriving home--despite adding a custom tip at checkout. Speaking of which, I really dislike the growing trend of prompting 15%, 20%, or 25% tips on what's essentially a counter-service transaction. That said, credit where it's due: the fish tacos were generous and genuinely delicious. If you plan on ordering online, don't. I placed an order around 6:30 p.m. and the system gave me a 7:08 pickup time. Knowing this location usually runs behind on online orders, I arrived at 7:17--ten minutes after it was supposed to be ready. I then sat and watched them begin making my food around 7:30. Was in NH for work and was recommended to go to California Burritos by a local. The pics and Yelp review made it look extremely tantalizing, so my boss and I headed there for a late dinner later that night. Essentially, it's a similar setup to Chipotle, but technically I don't think it's Mexican cuisine. I thought I saw somewhere that it was Salvadorian. Either way, I opted for the make your own bowl. I essentially put everything in it that I normally do with my Chipotle burrito bowls- rice, chicken, tomatoes, corn, salsa, cheese and sour cream. Overall, it was just okay. I felt like the meat and toppings didn't have as much flavor as Chipotle or other similar concepts I've been to. I was starving so I devoured my bowl and the chips I got with it. But overall, this place is just okay-- didn't really stack up to my expectations based on Yelp reviews and pics. I also got a "Horchata." I'm glad I pushed myself out of my comfort zone and tried something new-- however, I didn't really love it. I thought it would have a coffee or chocolate taste to it, but it was more like Chai. Best tacos in Nashua! Their steak is the best, it is high quality and never has any fat or gristle. The hot salsa is also amazing, I wish they'd give more of it though. My boyfriend loves their papusas. I will say they are not on top of mobile orders (they are never ready at the pickup time) and a lot of the times mobile orders are wrong so I always end up just ordering there to avoid issues which is why it's 4 stars instead of 5. Service is good though and they are pretty fast considering everything is made fresh and they are always busy. The chiptole style assembly line was expected and welcomed, the atmosphere was hitting all the right colors on the Mexican/Tex mex color pallet, and the pictures on the menu were enticing. I was surprised and excited by the selection of both veggies AND the fact they had spinach tortillas in addition to the flour ones. I got a massive vegitarian burrito with incredibly well seasoned beans and pico de Gallo (among other fix ins). The burrito was delicious and warranted a mid-burrito intermission. One thing that was a bit strange was a lingering smell of a spice/seasoning that was vaguely ITALIAN. I can't put my nose/finger on it but it wasn't "on message" w the food. I go here quite often I'd say at least 3-4x a month. It's generally quite good, however on my most recent visit what I normally get somehow took 3 employees to discuss still turned out half correct. I ordered a burrito bowl double chicken/carnitas(I think they missed the double part) and tacos. I asked for flour(I ended up with corn) that's fine nothing I won't eat. It just pains me that it takes 3 employees to figure it out.
