I hadn't had Five Guys in like years... so when I saw a BOGO deal on Uber Eats, I couldn't resist and placed a pickup order. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger in a lettuce wrap -- and it was perfection. Every topping I wanted was there, and the lettuce wrap was surprisingly sturdy. Unlike Shake Shack's flimsy lettuce that always falls apart, this one held the burger together. I also got the Cajun fries. It was super flavorful and delicious, though I do wish they were a bit crispier and less soggy. The only downside... is when I arrived for pickup, my order hadn't even been started. Wow, sixty bucks flushed immediately down the toilet. I ordered three burgers (two of them little size), three drinks, and two large fries... and everything was pretty much terrible. The burger meat was crumbling and tasteless, the fries soggy, and the cheap cheese barely melted. Almost all the drink options in the "soda dispenser" were empty and no employees seemed to care. Also, an annoying electronic beep from the ice machine would "ding" and "beep" every ten seconds and after I asked an employee to please fix it or unplug the machine... they just shrugged and said "we don't know how to fix it". I said "so it just beeps all day?", they replied "yes" and continued making terrible burgers. This meal was comparable to a low-rate school lunch except it was $58 more expensive. If you're craving beef, like I was today, I like Five Guys more than that other chain near Grand Central. Online I ordered the regular burger- most toppings are free including onions and green peppers and the grilled varieties of each. I forgot that the regular burger is two patties. The Little Burger has one patty and is more than enough for all but the most ravenous appetites. Their hand cut freshly made French fries are the best in the fast food industry. Their burger and all its ingredients are fresh and delicious. The only thing I don't like is their beef is not yet anti-biotic free. read more

If you want a consistently good burger, 5 Guys is the place. Although a bit more expensive than the other hamburger fast food chains, it is worth it to get a juicy hamburger. Their choices of toppings is extensive and good. I love their grilled onions when they are cut small. You can get a regular hamburger (2 patties) or a little burger (1 patty) which makes it a perfect place for big or small appetites. Their french fries are good. They are very amenable to making orders special as I always order my fries with no salt and crispy (or some stores you need to say well done). It is a little bit of a wait for the special order, but well worth it. And, of course, they have raw peanuts on which you can nibble while you wait. Give it a try. read more

Found a Five Guys closer to me :D There is a decent number of tables available at this location. When you enter, napkins, ketchup, straws, Heinz Malt Vinegar, etc. will be to your right. The cashiers are friendly and quick to take your order. Hold on to the receipt, because once your order is ready, they will call your number out. Similar to most other Five Guys, a Regular (their smallest size) order of fries is more than enough for 2 people to share. They serve up two types of fries: Five Guys Style (plain) and Cajun Style. If you like Old Bay seasoning, I suggest you try their Cajun Style. The meat patty is always juicy. The quality of their buns aren't the best, but I guess this is one way to keep the prices reasonable. I am a big fan of their unlimited toppings (ie. Pickles, Grilled Mushrooms, Jalapeno Peppers, Grilled Onions). All of which are FREE. A friend of mine decided to try their Veggie Sandwich. Instead of a Veggie Patty, the sandwich consists of a bun and as many veggie toppings as you wish. I took a bite of her sandwich and wasn't blown away. Maybe it's because I enjoy having a patty of some sort in my burger. I appreciate that they grill the vegetables and meat on separate grilling stations. Which is great since it allows for healthy competition with other places. With many other places to eat, Five Brothers stand out with their free peanuts. Quick service that doesn't disappoint. You can refill your soda cup with unlimited drinks at the smart soda machines. This place gives you options: Gold's ice tea or a choice of an array of Pepsi products. I ordered the vegetarian sandwich. As always it tastes delicious. The fries can taste better. I like the spices they use in them. You have a dining area. During lunch it gets crowded very easily. I ended up ordering the hamburger (2 patties) and a large Cajun fries with a medium drink. PRO TIP - ask for ur fries in a separate bag otherwise all the extra fries they throw in will be on top of ur burger and make the wrapper super greasy. Pro tip #2 - make sure you hit the gym beforehand and have a clear schedule ahead. This is a fulfilling burger with plenty of calories and grease. It will cause extreme food coma and serious regret (work out before) 1. Hamburger - two huge patties with all the toppings I want (make sure to get the grilled mushrooms and grilled peppers). Expect a greasy burger! 2. Large Cajun fries - all fries are made fresh. They are heaven. Ask for extra seasoning. Just be wary they throw in extra fries in the bag so a small will do but I like my fries... The only reason why it gets a negative star is that it lets homeless hang out at the establishment so their smell was overwhelming despite the heavenly smell of grease and fries. Easy to read menu lets you pick your toppings , I asked or the bacon burger L,T,O, and little fries, and the cashier yelled 2 patties to the cooks, well you can also get a mini bugger too, which must be one patty? Waited about 10+ minutes at lunch time, Graso Grill on 48th would have done it in 4. And took my order to one of the tables. The fries are a little to brown for me compared to Mickey's D golden color but still good. They not only put your fries in a cup but add extra in your bag. Based on a boat load of recommendations I visited Five Guys only to be hugely disappointed. Initially this particular location got my attention with just the price of my burger & fries for my initial experience. I'm thinking, "Woo this stuff has to be good if I'm paying almost double McDonald pricing". The fries in my opinion were absolutely terrible! I certainly don't consider myself a healthy eater but when the fries are caked in oil and every bite oozes with grease it kinda grosses one out. I don't get all the haters! Best burger in Manhattan, and I've eaten at In-n-Out (Godawful), Fat Burger (OK), Jackson Hole (amazing too), and I'm privileged enough to live close to the infamous All American Burger on Long Island. It's full of so much flavor. Then don't forget the toppings, which are all FREE! I get lettuce, tomato, ketchup, mayo, and grilled onions. My mouth is watering as I type this. It's a messy burger, it's definitely not good for you, but if you want to indulge on occasion, this is it. The fries, sometimes are a hit or miss. Once I went and the place was a ZOO so they were trying to get people in and out as quickly as possible. This meant that they weren't leaving the fries in long enough in the deep fryer and the one's I got were semi-raw and definitely not crispy. But that happened ONCE and it definitely hasn't deterred me from going back there. All other times the fries were delicious. Again, SO greasy, but dip them in ketchup, with their seasoning on top? uurrrghh... I always love scraping a few fries in any melted cheese that has fallen off my burger. Not the first time I had been to one, but a first at this location. Free peanuts while waiting on line for your food. This always makes things easier. I don't quite know what the deal is, but when placing my order for a Little Hamburger, I ended up with the regular double patty version. I tried to go smaller on the fries, when I had to repeat myself to get the smaller order. For some reason, the burger, even though it was a double, was overcooked and dry. There was no ketchup on it, which was not a huge problem, but again, they got my simple order wrong. It was not especially busy, just before noon. If asked what my comfort food is, my quick answer is "a burger and fries." I'm giving this place a conditional 4 stars. Basically, it's very good at what it is, a burger joint. If you are looking for someplace fancy, well you shouldn't be going to a place called "Five Guys." While I wish the burgers were a bit bigger, they certainly do feed the need. You also get your pick of a number of toppings (free and extras). I also like their fries, and I love grabbing some free peanuts (a staple at all "Five Guys" locations). I always leave satisfied and happy. The décor is simple, but nice. They also play classic rock, which mixes well with the atmosphere. The people who work here are friendly and efficient. There were at least 15 people behind the counter preparing for the lunch time rush. They all seemed happy to be there. Many of them greeted me. I think the prices are inflated but the overflowing fries in the bag helped me forget about the hole in my wallet. This location just opened on Saturday. I had the cheeseburger (with grilled onions and grilled mushrooms) and regular fries. The burger was very good. It was appropriately cooked, pleasantly surprised me when I tasted the burger and not a mouthful of grease. The only beef (pun completely intended) that I have is the prices are well, midtown prices. Those two items totaled $11+. It's good to know that I can get a decent hamburger in the area and I will probably return when I'm craving one. However, next time I will skip the fries. Since they just opened, they still have to iron out some of the wrinkles. When I was there for ten minutes they messed up two orders, but I guess that's to be expected.
